AWESOME YOU GUYS (I LOVE YOU FAMILY)
Transcript
00:00The film starts with the beautiful Lola.
00:03She's a sales representative for an import wine company in Los Angeles.
00:07ASA sales representative, Lola's foremost duty is to sell and market the company business to various customers.
00:15Among her most precious clients is Hemis, a successful restaurateur with a number of upscale restaurants,
00:21and incidentally, one of Lola's closest friends.
00:24Inasmuch as Lola is about to leave the office, Hemis asks her to try a wine from the Vaughan family,
00:29a rare vintage rich and authentic flavor that is made in Sydney.
00:33The finest wine he has ever had, Hemis claims.
00:36But unfortunately, the Vaughan family has not had an official distributor in the United States yet.
00:42Hemis tells Lola that if she could get a deal with the Vaughan family,
00:45he'll carry their wine as house poor in all of his restaurants.
00:49When Lola returns to her company, Mythos Company, she is greeted warmly by her friend and co-worker, Adra.
00:55Adra is thrilled at Lola's success and attention she has been getting.
01:00Actually, Lola is going to be promoted to.
01:03Regional sales manager.
01:04A big promotion, right?
01:06In the meantime, Adra is attempting to meet her sales quota.
01:09She is aware that if she does not close a large sale tomorrow,
01:13she would be most likely to be fired by the company's CEO, subsequently called her.
01:18The company's CEO walks by and compliments Lola on her excellent performance.
01:22He also reminds her of being prepared for a key meeting scheduled the next day.
01:27Subsequently, Lola receives a call from the Vaughan family winery.
01:31They tell her that they're just.
01:33Waiting for the approval of the owner before going ahead,
01:36Lola reveals to Adra, confident with the good quality of Vaughan wine,
01:40that the pitch will be easy that evening while Lola is on her way home.
01:44She sees her father, Carlos, having dinner with two guests,
01:48not wanting to be drawn into another exhausting conversation about her love life.
01:51She tries slipping in through the back door, but Carlos has already seen her.
01:56She is barely sitting at the table when Carlos and his friends begin peppering her
02:00with questions about her love life.
02:03Are you seeing anyone?
02:05When are you getting married?
02:06The questions clearly annoy Lola.
02:09We know from the story that Lola divorced her ex-husband last year
02:12when she discovered that he was cheating on her.
02:14Carlos speaks to Lola like a father would after dinner.
02:17He encourages her to be happy once more, to have a child, and to lead a peaceful life.
02:22Even after everything that has transpired, Carlos reminds her that life is to move forward
02:27and not get stuck on the past.
02:30The next day, when Lola arrives at the office, she walks into a jaw-dropping situation.
02:35Adra is presenting Lola's idea, the Vaughan family deal, as her own.
02:39The executives are impressed with the presentation, and Calder promises that if the deal goes through,
02:45Adra will be promoted to regional sales manager, the same position Lola had been vying for all along.
02:50Wounded and betrayed, Lola accuses Calder and claims that Adra stole her idea,
02:56but Calder denies it and, instead of believing her,
02:59accuses Lola of being careless and not protecting her pitch.
03:03Lola could no longer tolerate the disappointment and the heartbreak.
03:06In front of Calder and the entire office, she exposed all of Adra's lying and manipulation.
03:13She vented about how much she had sacrificed for the company's prosperity.
03:17To be met with humiliation and betrayal, she disclosed a bold decision to her father that night.
03:23She intended to launch her own wine import firm and pursue a direct relationship with the Vaughan
03:28family winery.
03:29Coincidentally, her father had a small cottage that he rented out most of the time,
03:33since Lola was actually going to meet Hazel.
03:36Owner of Vaughan business family, face to face, she reserved the cottage and traveled to Australia
03:41before Calder or Adra even knew what she was doing.
03:45Carlos believed that the scheme was a little crazy, but he trusted his daughter.
03:50He knew that she had everything it took to succeed.
03:52IT was a long and exhausting trip, but Lola made it.
03:56He walked into a house looking for the receptionist,
03:58but as he was admiring the lavish interiors, he suddenly came face to face with a man named Max.
04:05To his shock, Lola realized this wasn't the place she had booked.
04:09It was actually one of Hazel's private villas.
04:13Max was about to take her to the correct cottage when a farmhand named Ojang came running.
04:17Ojang said that they had a vineyard worker call in sick and needed someone to replace them right away.
04:22Lola just so happened to see Hazel herself, not batting an eye.
04:27She introduced herself and informed her that she was the owner of a wine import company in the U.S.
04:32She suggested the idea of becoming their official distributor in America.
04:37Even going so far as to volunteer to stock Vaughan wine in all of her friend Hemis high-end restaurants.
04:43Hazel was taken aback by Lola's enthusiasm and perseverance.
04:46But since Lola's business was new and not yet licensed, Hazel had no choice but to tactfully decline.
04:53When it finally struck Lola that the vineyard needed more hands, she volunteered on the spot to work on the farm.
04:59Max was hesitant.
05:01They needed experienced labor, not a beginner.
05:03But as we know, Lola was not one to give up easily.
05:07I may not have the experience, but I'll make up for it with hard work.
05:10She promised that if Hazel gave her a shot, she would give it everything she had and prove herself.
05:17Moved by Lola's determination, Hazel gave her a challenge.
05:20If Lola could successfully complete her assigned duties for one week, Hazel would reconsider the partnership.
05:26But if she made a mistake, she'd have to leave and never come back on the drive out to the vineyard.
05:31Max, who was now her boss, began to show her the ropes, a S.A. newbie.
05:36She had to start with the basics, cleaning out the animal, enclosures, caring for the sheep, and other back-breaking chores.
05:44Lola did not protest.
05:46She realized that chasing big dreams sometimes required big sacrifices.
05:51While she chatted with them, Lola mentioned something that appeared to be her motto.
05:55If you believe and work hard, a way will always appear.
05:59That night, Lola moved into the women's staff dorm and got to know three of the other farm workers.
06:04Breeze, Sam, and Kylie.
06:07Breeze welcomed her affectionately and was obviously open to making friends.
06:11But the other two noticed Lola's fashionist appearance, like a supermodel fresh off the runway, and thought that she was some arrogant city kid.
06:19They gave her the cold shoulder and were distant and superior.
06:23A T one time, when Sam was on a video call with a friend, Lola mistakenly inserted her laptop charger into the wrong outlet and cut off power to the entire dorm.
06:32The next day, Max went about teaching Lola the various jobs she would have to do.
06:38Building fences, pen mucking out, separating sheep according to breed, and of course, preparing the feed.
06:45Tio Lola, a city girl who'd spent not a single day in the country.
06:49These were arduous and exhausting tasks.
06:51But with a dream as grand as hers, she kept a smile on her face and toiled at every activity with every bit of power she had.
06:59Seeing how exhausted and weary she was, Max suggested that she quit and go back to Los Angeles.
07:06But Lola firmly retorted,
07:08As she walked toward the truck to grab a metal rod, Max suddenly sprinted in her direction and yanked her off the ground.
07:19Why, a venomous snake had slithered ominously near.
07:22A T could have killed her, just like Max's eyes, which now appeared piercing.
07:27And full of emotion, a bit later, Max asked Lola to shovel the sheep poop into the compost processing machine.
07:34While he headed off to get Hazel, trying to prove herself to Hazel, Lola rushed through the task and made a mistake.
07:41She pulled on the wrong lever.
07:42Result, the machine sprayed sheep droppings all over Max and Hazel's clothes.
07:47And their faces, Max screamed.
07:50That's it, Lola. Just go.
07:52Though Breeze insisted she stay, Lola felt absolutely defeated.
07:57And no matter how hard she worked, evidently Hazel would never trust her again.
08:02S.O., she had the painful choice of returning from the vineyard to LA.
08:05She packed up her stuff and asked Max to drop her into town.
08:09A.S., luck would have it.
08:10Max had to drive into town as well to pick up some supplies.
08:13But luck was not favoring them.
08:15The truck once again broke down.
08:17They had no choice but to walk back, A.S., they walked on the bumpy road.
08:22Max quipped.
08:23Jokingly, something's wrong.
08:25Where did that fire and determination go?
08:28One mistake and you're done.
08:30He continued.
08:31You came so far because you dreamed of your future.
08:34S.O., why stop now?
08:36Just because you fell once?
08:38His words rang in her head.
08:40They haunted her mind.
08:42Touched her heart.
08:43And pushed her to think.
08:44That evening, dilemma of stay or go, Lola opened a book to calm her mind.
08:49I.T. was Sybil Vaughn's life story.
08:52Hazel's grandmother and vineyard owner, Sybil, it seems from the book by all accounts,
08:57was a woman to be feared, an uncontrollable one, as she built the entire estate on guts
09:02and determination.
09:03Following the death of her husband, just a young bride then, Sybil's story spoke volumes
09:08to Lola.
09:09I.T. set something.
09:11A light in her.
09:12And from that night on, something was different about her.
09:15She was no longer the finicky, dainty city girl.
09:19Lola now was the kind of woman who would not hesitate to scrub the dorm bathrooms or seal
09:23leaky water pipes with her own bare hands.
09:26Her transformation did not go unnoticed.
09:28Even Sam and Kylie, who had previously addressed her coolly, began to respect her and soon
09:34warmed up to her too.
09:36Lola then made it known to Max.
09:38She was not leaving.
09:39All that passion and perseverance.
09:42It was.
09:42Motivated by the courage of a female warrior who was called Sybil Vaughn, Max was thrilled
09:48to hear that, I.N. welcoming her back, he even prepared a special treat for Lola, a classic
09:54cowboy H.A.T.
09:56A.T. the same time in Los Angeles, Calder was becoming annoyed with the poor performance
10:00of Adra.
10:01Meanwhile, back at the vineyard, Lola spotted Max striding along with enormous bundles of
10:07hay in the field.
10:08She smiled involuntarily, her heartwarming at the sight.
10:11Contrary to the night spent pouring over corporate, emails, and pitch decks, this night, Lola chose
10:19to spend it sat by the fire with Max and the rest of the staff.
10:22They laughed, shared stories, and had an uncomplicated but joyful night spent together.
10:27When Max began playing his guitar softly, Lola encouraged everyone to sing along.
10:32They sang a rousing version of the old classic, singing.
10:36The next morning, Max told Lola that her task for the day would be to shear the sheep, that
10:41is, she'd been promoted, and had a larger responsibility now.
10:45Lola was thrilled at the news and enthusiastically agreed to the challenge.
10:49But first, though, she was tending to her favorite sheep and asked Max inquiringly,
10:54why hasn't this one been put with the others?
10:56Max replied that the sheep was really old, and as was invariably the case.
11:01All old sheep were to be slaughtered in order to make Sate, an Asian favorite.
11:06Lola was stunned.
11:07She pleaded with Max not to slaughter him.
11:10She had taken care of that sheep all along and even named him, Thiep.
11:14But Max, completely unaffected, said,
11:16That's your fault.
11:18Who told you to bond with the sheep?
11:19Then Max brought her to the sheep-shearing shed, A.T. the same time, in the city.
11:25Adra, on Calder's orders, took flight to see Hemis, trying to convince him to continue
11:30buying wines from their company.
11:32But Hemis flatly declared that he wished only to stock wines of the Carphone Vineyard,
11:36and that he was waiting for Lola's decision, who had been in Australia for over a week,
11:41it seemed.
11:42Adra was completely flabbergasted to discover that Lola was actually there.
11:46Later in the evening, Lola heard Max.
11:48Swimming in Hazel's private pool, she was immediately full of questions.
11:54How dare you use Hazel's pool, she demanded.
11:56Max simply shrugged and said,
11:58Hazel's not here, and she doesn't use it that often anyway.
12:02Then he invited her to join him.
12:03A.T. first, she refused.
12:05But as she just kept looking over at Max's handsome face and that adorable smile,
12:10her obstinacy faded, and she finally complied.
12:13What they did not understand was that Hazel had actually returned home.
12:17But for reasons unknown to anyone, she merely smiled to herself and walked off without a word.
12:23The next morning, Max asked Breeze to help him drive the sheep into the barn on the motorbike.
12:28But Breeze, aware of Max and Lola's growing intimacy, made up an excuse and instructed Max to invite Lola instead.
12:37Max was reluctant.
12:37Lola was a beginner and probably had no idea how to pedal a bike at all.
12:42But as he found out, Lola jumped on like a pro and sped off like one too.
12:47Max was stunned.
12:49After herding the sheep, Max took Lola to a spot where he had played as a child.
12:53As they walked, Lola started asking him about his family life.
12:57Max, usually reserved and uncommunicative, struggled against it at first, but then opened up.
13:03He explained that his family were villagers for generations.
13:07He himself had been a bad boy and hot-headed as a youth.
13:11When his mother was diagnosed with cancer, instead of staying with her, he went into the city to live it up and party.
13:17But by the time he returned, it was too late.
13:20Max made a vow from that time on to stay in the village, to make up for the things he could not reverse.
13:25Lola's eyes lit up with emotion when she heard this, as she looked out over the beautiful scenery.
13:31Meanwhile, at the Mythos Company, Adra finally informed Calder that Lola was at the Vaughn family house in Australia.
13:38Calder lost his temper and berated Adra.
13:41Then he instructed her to get ready for a journey to Australia.
13:44That night, in the meantime, Lola and a few of the ranch hands went out to a local pub to celebrate a birthday.
13:50They giggled, danced, and enjoyed a merry, unforgettable evening.
13:55While Lola was at the bar ordering a drink, a stranger challenged her to a dark game.
14:00Confident and in high spirits, Lola accepted.
14:03Elsewhere, at Hazel's house, she and Max were playing a game of billiards while discussing Lola's business proposal.
14:11Max said,
14:12Lola's talented and driven.
14:13If you'd just give her a chance, I know she could boost Carphone's wine sales.
14:18Then came a shocking revelation.
14:21Max was actually Hazel's biological brother.
14:23He had kept it all from all of them, not wanting to be involved again in wealth and fame as in the past.
14:29Max yearned for peace and quiet life in the countryside only.
14:32Among sheep, T.O. convinced Max.
14:35Hazel made an offer.
14:36If you become the CEO of the company, I'll make Lola's company the sole distributor of Club F Wines.
14:42But reluctantly, Max rejected her.
14:45Before leaving, Hazel counseled him.
14:47If you truly love Lola, you need to be honest with her.
14:51Be honest with her.
14:53At the pub, the stranger, astonished at how good Lola was at darts, decided to cheat by altering the score.
15:00The result, an angry argument burst out and a fight ensued.
15:04Following the mess Lola and her friends had created at the bar, the bar owner phoned Max and insisted on being compensated for what was destroyed.
15:11But much to everyone's surprise, Max did not anger at all by end fact.
15:17Seeing Lola's childish and immature behavior just made him smile.
15:21Later that night, after the other employees left, a heavily drunk Lola suddenly began talking about Max's mysterious and introverted nature.
15:29And why he seemed to be harboring so many secrets.
15:32Ironically, Max was just about to tell her the truth at that exact moment.
15:36But since Lola wouldn't be quiet, he ended up just walking her home.
15:41The two of them did a vineyard tour together the following morning.
15:44But something still bothered Lola.
15:46How had Max been able to set up such a VIP visit so easily?
15:50Max claimed it was all due to Hazel.
15:52He then introduced Lola to Felix, the master vintner who was in charge of the Vaughn family wines.
15:58Felix explained that their wines were made from completely natural grapes, with not one chemical.
16:04Made using old-fashioned, traditional techniques to preserve their natural flavor.
16:09A.S. he offered Lola a sip.
16:11Felix explained that they had recently made a deluxe vintage.
16:14But because it was so rare and precious, it would only be released if Max gave his approval.
16:19This only intrigued Lola more.
16:21But Max, as always, expertly deflected the subject.
16:25Later, Max took Lola to a cabin in the woods.
16:28Where they sat out the night by a cozy campfire, with the warmth of the fire and a bottle of wine between them.
16:34Atmosphere grew intimate and near.
16:36Lola pulled out a sketch she had done of Sibylla V.O. and I.N. her mind.
16:41Sibylla was a strong, inspiring woman.
16:44A woman who, in Lola's opinion, had been instrumental in the success of the Vaughn family.
16:49Lola wanted to give this drawing to Hazel, in the hopes that it might be used in the firm's new advertising campaign.
16:56A.T. this warm and convivial moment.
16:58Max suddenly promised Lola that her pet sheep, Thiep, would not after all be shipped off to the slaughterhouse.
17:05Lola was.
17:06Overjoyed and thanked him profusely.
17:09But since Australia is full of venomous snakes, Max decided to check Lola's mattress before they went to sleep.
17:14Good thing he did.
17:16A snake was hiding inside.
17:18Petit O. lightened the mood.
17:19Max asked Lola if she wanted to come outside and stargaze with him.
17:23But Lola, still shaken, asked nervously,
17:27What if the snake comes back?
17:29Max joked,
17:30I'm a snake myself.
17:31And snakes don't mess with their own kind.
17:34At that moment, the mutual attraction between them peaked.
17:38Smiles full of meaning, lingering gazes, and silences that spoke volumes.
17:43Max needed to confess.
17:45He was ready to tell her the truth.
17:47But before he could say the words, Lola couldn't hold back her feelings anymore, and suddenly kissed him.
17:53The next morning, Max finally told her the truth.
17:56He was actually the grandson of the Vaughn family founder, and Hazel's biological brother, Lola didn't believe him at.
18:02First, she said she'd been researching the Vaughn family tree for a while and had never met anyone called Max.
18:09But Max told him that with sufficient wealth and contacts, it's simple to eliminate electronic traces and documentary records.
18:16He told him that when his mother died, he had gone into sheep farming and made a fortune.
18:21A.S.A. matter of fact, it was he who had supplied Hazel with the seed money to start her business.
18:27That is, Max had been the silent investor in Hazel's company all along, but the reason he'd kept all this hidden was that he wanted only a simple, quiet life in the countryside, far away from the fakeness and opportunism of people wanting money and social status.
18:43Hearing this, Lola felt deeply hurt and disillusioned.
18:47She said to him,
18:49If I had known who you really were from the beginning, I never would have gotten close to you.
18:53Okay, I have to collaborate with Hazel, but that doesn't mean I'm willing to use someone just so I can pursue my dreams.
19:00She paused, then proceeded.
19:02You made me happy in a way I didn't expect.
19:06But with one lie, you broke my heart.
19:09These were Lola's words to Max.
19:11Meanwhile, Calder and Adra had arrived in the farm and were conducting some business transaction.
19:17Upon seeing Lola, Calder began praising her job and asked her to return to Mythos' company, even asking her to hold a senior role, head of sales of the Vaughn family wines.
19:27All she had done up to that point, Calder's offer only served to make Lola more dejected.
19:33She firmly refused.
19:34Lola also realized that Hazel would never agree with her proposal, but she accepted it with grace and handed over the design of the wine bottle she had created.
19:44She told Hazel,
19:45Max tried to convince Hazel to give Lola a chance, but Hazel would not give in.
19:59She told Lola that if Max himself was interested in being the CEO, then maybe she'd listen to Lola's ideas.
20:04But Adra apologized to Lola for what she had done.
20:07IT didn't sit well with Lola to forgive Adra's dishonesty.
20:11But in the end, she swallowed it all and told everyone that everyone has flaws and deserves a second chance.
20:18Before she left for Los Angeles, Lola said goodbye to all her friends, including her pet sheep, Sound.
20:25The sheep?
20:26Max went to see Lola at a later date.
20:28He truly desired to keep her from leaving, to finally let her know what was in his heart.
20:33But pride and principles he held close held him back.
20:36Lola appreciated Max for the beautiful memories and for the brief instant of love they experienced.
20:42Max smiled, hiding pain and despair behind it, and said,
20:46Goodbye, Lola.
20:47I wish you happiness.
20:49Months passed.
20:51Lola continued and secured the permits she needed and officially opened her own business.
20:55She had hired Adra as one of her executive managers in a turn of events.
21:00Latest news headlines reported,
21:02The Vaughn family-run winery had broken up with Mythos Company, taking this as a golden opportunity.
21:07Adra suggested that Lola should make an offer of partnership to the Vaughn family at once.
21:12But Lola wanted to stay focused on her independent venture.
21:15She asked Adra to stay committed to their current.
21:18Project instead, I am the middle of their busy work schedule.
21:22Adra suddenly asked,
21:23Why have you never called Max?
21:26Lola replied,
21:27Honestly, I miss him so much.
21:30But I do not want to get into something unsure again.
21:33If he really loved me, why didn't he try to stop me on that day?
21:37At last, in trying to boost their sales of wine,
21:40Lola and Adra had a booth at a large wine convention in Los Angeles.
21:44Among the attendees was Hemis, one of their repeat customers.
21:47And then, when no one was looking, Max showed up.
21:51Despite the tension and mild awkwardness in the air, Max announced,
21:55I'm officially the new CEO of the Vaughn family winery.
21:58And I changed the company logo to the one you designed.
22:02But of course, Max's real reason for being there wasn't just to promote a product.
22:06He had come to see Lola again.
22:08The lady who made him realize what life was all about.
22:11The lady who would never flinch from telling the truth,
22:14no matter how painful and challenging it was to do so.
22:17With utter frankness, Max professed,
22:20I was a fool to let you go away.
22:22But this time, let me battle for your love.
22:25And with that kiss, their romance had come full circle at last.
22:29A love that had never in fact departed from their hearts.
22:32A love that had never in fact departed from their hearts.
22:36A love that had never in fact departed from their hearts.
22:37A love that had never in fact departed from their hearts.
22:38A love that had never in fact departed from their hearts.
22:39A love that had never in fact departed from their hearts.
22:40A love that had never in fact departed from their hearts.
22:41A love that had never in fact departed from their hearts.
22:42A love that had never in fact departed from their hearts.
22:43A love that had never in fact departed from their hearts.
22:44A love that had never in fact departed from their hearts.
22:45A love that had never in fact departed from their hearts.
22:46A love that had never in fact departed from their hearts.
22:47A love that had never in fact departed from their hearts.
22:48A love that had never in fact departed from their hearts.
22:49A love that had never in fact departed from their hearts.
