00:00Hello everyone, I'm Abbey and welcome to this week's yoga practice. Today I'm going to be
00:04taking you through three meditative yoga stretches to help you find some relaxation and a little bit
00:10of serenity in your day. I'm currently in San Diego and the weather is just gorgeous. I'm
00:15surrounded by beautiful views and the sounds of nature and I thought there's no better time to
00:20share these exercises with you so that we can both relax together. I'm really excited to take
00:25you through these so let's get started with our stretches. So first you're going to want to come
00:29and find a comfortable seat for yourself. I like to just come a little bit lower to the ground here.
00:37Now we're going to be bringing our arms above our head, taking a deep breath in.
00:43Holding that for five seconds.
00:50And release.
00:53Might need to adjust yourself. It's always important to be very comfortable during yoga.
00:57Coming back for another breath. Arms above your head.
01:08And exhale.
01:11Let's do a few more here. Really take your time. Allow yourself to feel grounded and just focus on
01:16lowering that heart rate with some very deep breathing.

01:49One more.
01:49And relax.
01:50I'm already feeling a lot more relaxed and at peace right now. It's so beautiful here.
01:55Now we're going to come to our side for cobra pose.
02:00Putting those hands out in front of you, pushing those hips into the floor here.
02:04And as much as you can, arching your back and looking up to the sky.
02:12this is a perfect chest opening exercise or heart opening as some people call it to really just
02:26allow yourself to surrender to the mat here focus on your breathing and do a gentle stretch in your
02:31back to release any tension you might have throughout the day
02:42a few more breaths here just really take your time
03:01all right on to our last pose for this practice we're going to be sending our hips back same
03:07position here extending those hands a little bit farther into puppy pose and arching your
03:13back again while you're doing this pose allow your forehead to rest onto the floor focus on
03:19that breathing and really feel some pressure in between your shoulder blades here remember just
03:37to allow yourself to relax and feel that peace in this moment it's just you the mat or whether
03:43you're on your bed or wherever you are it's just you in this moment so focus on yourself
03:48all right that was lovely feel free to just repeat these poses whenever you need a little reset during
04:09your day and if you're new to yoga or more advanced another way you can make these a little bit more
04:15interesting is engaging in some meditation and saying some positive affirmations to yourself
04:19to allow yourself to just take time with you remember you are worthy of your own time and that's why
