00:00This rock looks pretty cool and that's why one elderly Romanian woman grabbed it out of a river
00:07and took it home using it as a doorstop for years. However, this isn't actually a stone at all. It is
00:13ancient amber that is millions of years old and worth more than a million dollars. The whole thing
00:18weighs 7.7 pounds and experts say it's the largest intact piece of amber in the world. Amber was once
00:24resin from a tree which fossilized over time into a rock-hard material. Amber is often considered a
00:29gemstone despite not mineralizing in the conventional fashion. This piece in particular
00:34is believed to be between 38 and 70 million years old. It was discovered in the village of Colty,
00:40a place where amber has been mined since the 1920s. While this massive chunk of amber is now in a
00:44museum, experts say it's worth around 1.1 million dollars. And this isn't the only doorstop rock
00:50that ended up being more than meets the eye. Back in 2018, a man in Michigan was using a large stone
00:55to prop open the door to his barn. That ended up being a meteorite, which ended up being worth $100,000.
