00:00Malaysian Indian People's Party Deputy President S. Subramaniam has described Urimi Chairman

00:05P. Ramasamy as an opportunist who lacks credibility in the Indian community.

00:10He questioned Ramasamy's leadership and accused him of leaving DAP not for the community,

00:15but because he was denied a seat in the last state election.

00:18Subramaniam's remarks were in response to Selangor Urimi Chief K. Gunasekeren, who accused

00:23Perikata Nacional of lacking real Indian leaders and said Indian voters had not rallied behind

00:28the opposition.

00:29Gunasekeren also criticized the Indian representatives at the Turun Anwar rally, calling them unfamiliar

00:35and lacking grassroots support.

00:37Subramaniam rejected these claims, saying PN had gained about 20% nationwide support among

00:42Indians, reaching 30-35% in by-elections.

00:46He said MIPP, unlike Urimi, is a registered party working within PN to build a strong Indian

00:51political voice through initiatives like its Reset campaign.

00:55Subramaniam added that the party was not opposed to collaboration, but questioned Urimi's

00:59legitimacy, saying it is not even a registered party or NGO, but a movement.
