00:08Hi there, and welcome to the world of Mario Paint!
00:10This is a game that's all about creation and fun!
00:13In fact, you can even play with the game logo!
00:15See, this letter changes Mario's size,
00:17and this one makes Yoshi appear,
00:19and then this one...
00:21Whoa!
00:22Quick, start the video! Start the vi-
00:25In this mode, you can select from a few existing pictures
00:28and color in each part using the Fill Paintbrush.
00:31You can also click on Mr. Crayon
00:33to swap between other color and pattern options.
00:37You can even fill in Yoshi with more Yoshis!
00:39If that's your thing!
00:43Here is where you can create something entirely your own
00:46using the different available tools.
00:48And if you make a mistake,
00:49just click the Undo Dog icon to go bark...
00:52I mean back a step.
00:56With the Nintendo Switch 2 system,
00:57you can use either a left or right Joy-Con 2 controller
01:01as a mouse to cultivate your creative creations.
01:04And if you have a Nintendo Switch,
01:06you can plug in a compatible USB mouse.
01:09Oh, speaking of loose mice,
01:11let's go check out the break room!
01:15Welcome to the break room!
01:16Through the magic of neglect,
01:17our team converted a perfectly serviceable garbage can
01:20into a soggy, steaming pile of sickness.
01:23And, well, this is how you get flies.
01:26On the bright side, this is a great place to blow off some steam
01:30by slapping the proverbial paint off these bugs.
01:33Just watch out for King Watinga!
01:35He's Nat in a good mood!
01:37What do you mean that's not funny?
01:41This mode is a great place to create game sprites and other objects one pixel at a time.
01:48You can save up to 15 different stamps and even create larger objects by piecing them together.
01:53Fun fact, do you know why it says special stamp in the frame?
01:56If so, please tell me, as I didn't have time to check that before this video was due.
02:04Here you can animate your creations and really start to bring them to life.
02:08You can animate up to 9 frames before they repeat.
02:11And then you can move them along a path, like this.
02:16Hey, that looks pretty good!
02:17But there's one more thing we should add before we're done.
02:20In this mode, you can select from 15 different sounds to help bring the song in your heart to the outside world.
02:29And yes, we do have a dog, cat, pig, goose, and baby as sound options.
02:35In this case, let's compose something for our favorite pharmacological plumber.
02:41I call this piece, that one Dr. Mario song I found within the Mario Paint Player's Guide.
02:46Or, Fever, for short.
02:52Now that we've combined all the elements, let's take a look at our completed scene.
03:00This looks great, so we're ready to save our work.
03:03Previously with Mario Paint, you had to visit this robot to save your finished creation.
03:07And you still can whenever you feel like jamming out to this sweet beat.
03:11But with a Nintendo Switch Online membership, you can now utilize different suspend points to preserve four completed masterpieces.
03:21Mario Paint has some catchy music.
03:23And you can enjoy those tunes on the Nintendo Music app,
03:26as those tracks will hit the service at the same time as the release of Mario Paint.
03:32Speaking of that, does anyone know when all this stuff will go live?
03:42Oh, thanks Mario!
03:43Mario?
03:44Mario Paint!
03:45Whoa!
03:46Upp-oh-ohja-poh-poh
03:48Mario Vein!
