00:00Thank you, Madam President, distinguished speakers of the parliaments.
00:07I extend my sincere thanks to the IPU and the UN for gathering us here today.
00:16This venue is a symbol of multilateralism and peace building,
00:22embodying a century-old commitment to the global cooperation.
00:26We are passing through an increasingly turbulent time,
00:32marked by conflicts and global challenges from the Ukraine to Gaza,
00:37from climate change to deepening inequalities,
00:41from the rise of discrimination and hatred to irregular migration.
00:47The challenges with which we are grappling today
00:51are not subordinate to those of the past that shaped our institutions.
00:58The current international system was built upon the promise of never again,
01:04referring to the horrific crimes committed during the Second World War.
01:09However, our world remains a theater of conflicts.
01:13Gone are the days of the bipolar world.
01:17Claims of unipolarity have also collapsed.
01:21Before us lies the horizons of the new multicentric world order.
01:28The rules and norms of this emerging era are still uncertain,
01:34further amplifying the fragility of the global order.
01:38Faced with the growing number of the crisis and existential threats,
01:43the so-called rule-based order is on the brink of the total collapse.
01:49Our collective efforts, therefore, should focus on reforming global governance
01:55that has failed to deliver justice and peace.
02:00We must build an international order where the right, not the might, prevails.
02:06Dear colleagues, today, indifference has become dangerous.
02:11More than ever, we are living in a shared ecosystem,
02:15socially, economically, politically, and even ecologically.
02:20Injustice anywhere is a threat to the justice everywhere.
02:26When we tolerate inequalities, racial discrimination,
02:30or ignorance of the fundamental tenets of the international law.
02:34Anywhere, we sow the seeds of unrest and stability everywhere.
02:40Justice is not a privilege of the powerful, but the birthright of all.
02:46Dear friends,
02:47What is happening in Palestine right now is the universal issue of justice
02:53that concerns not only the Palestinian people,
02:57not only the Arabs, not only the Muslim countries, but all of the humanity.
03:03It is a moral obligation for all of us
03:06to act collectively against genocide in making.
03:10With this understanding, we, as several parliaments,
03:15have established the group of parliaments in support of Palestine
03:19in order to forge solidarity for Palestinian people
03:24and the support to state solution.
03:27Apart from the urgent need to put an end
03:30to the unfolding genocidal campaign
03:33in the occupied Palestinian territories,
03:38and to bring perpetrators to justice,
03:42we are of the view that the two-state solution
03:46is the only path to establishing a just and lasting peace in the region.
03:52As the United States Secretary General rightly underscored yesterday,
03:57statehood for the Palestinians is a right, not a reward.
04:03On this occasion,
04:06I invite all parliaments to join our group
04:11with the only condition that
04:12they embrace the vision of two-state solution
04:15to make our voices heard more powerfully and effectively.
04:22I thank you so much.
04:23I thank you so much for being here.
04:24Thank you so much.
04:25Thank you.
04:26Thank you.
04:27Thank you.
04:28Thank you.
04:29Thank you.
