00:00Beloved, we are living in a time where truth is not just unpopular, it's unwelcome, even
00:06in the church.
00:07Truth on trial is not just a title, it is a reality.
00:12Across this nation and around the world, churches that once stood firm on the unshakable word
00:18of God are now bending their knees to cultural trends, human feelings, and emotional manipulation.
00:24The gospel has been diluted, scripture twisted, and Christ's lordship sidelined, all in the
00:31name of love, inclusion, and relevance, but let me be clear, when the church begins to
00:38love lies, whether by omission, tolerance, or celebration, it ceases to be the pillar and
00:45support of the truth 1 Timothy 3, 15.
00:49It becomes something else entirely, a religious institution without Christ, a social club
00:56without the gospel all amassed, and removed by the Lord himself, Revelation 2, 5.
01:02This message is not about pointing fingers outside the church, no, this is a call to wake
01:08up within the church, because the greatest threat to Christianity today is not from outside
01:13persecution, it is from inside compromise.
01:16And until we return to loving the truth with our whole hearts, we will continue to witness
01:21churches that are full, and yet spiritually dead.
01:25Keynote 1.
01:26The subtle exchange truth for tolerance, there was once a small Bible, believing church nestled
01:32in a quiet town.
01:34For decades, its foundation was strong, built on the word of God, saturated in prayer, and
01:40faithful to sound doctrine.
01:42People came not for entertainment, but for truth.
01:45The pulpit thundered with the gospel.
01:47The pews were filled with conviction, not comfort.
01:50But over time, things changed.
01:52A new pastor arrived, young, charismatic, deeply likable.
01:57At first, his sermons still carried the scriptures.
02:00But slowly, subtly, something shifted.
02:03We need to reach more people.
02:05He said, let's not talk so much about sin.
02:08It's off-putting.
02:10The cross was mentioned, but not the cost.
02:12Hell, too harsh.
02:13Repentance, too negative.
02:15The messages became therapeutic.
02:17The Bible became optional.
02:19Truth was no longer proclaimed.
02:21It was managed, trimmed, softened.
02:24The people loved it.
02:25The sanctuary grew in numbers, but shrank in spiritual depth.
02:30The gospel had been edited to fit modern appetites.
02:33Truth had been exchanged, not in an open rebellion, but in a quiet surrender, not for atheism, but
02:41for tolerance, not for hatred, but for kindness, but the cost, eternity.
02:47This story is repeated in churches around the world.
02:51Tolerance now rules where truth once reigned.
02:55What we call love is often just cowardice in disguise.
02:59And let us be clear, tolerance of lies is not love.
03:03It is spiritual treason.
03:06When we abandon truth in the name of being nice, we stop being the church of Jesus Christ
03:12and become a mirror of...
03:14World
03:15In the world, Jesus never promised his truth would be popular.
03:17He said it would divide families, stir persecution, and make us hated by the world.
03:22Luke 12, 51, John 15, 18.
03:26But the church today, in its craving for acceptance, has made peace with deception.
03:30Beloved, we are not called to blend in.
03:32We are called to stand out.
03:35And standing for truth in an age of tolerance is not hate.
03:39It is holiness.
03:41Keynote 2.
03:41The rise of false teachers within picture a garden, beautiful, lush, thriving.
03:48Every plant is well tended, and every tree bears fruit.
03:53But deep in the soil, a hidden root begins to grow.
03:57It looks harmless, even promising.
04:00Yet over time, that root becomes a weed, choking life, stealing light, and ruining the harvest.
04:06That's how false teaching spreads in the church.
04:09In the early church, Paul warned the Ephesian elders with tears in his eyes.
04:15From among your own selves will arise many...
04:17Speaking twisted things to draw away the disciples after them.
04:22Acts 20, 30.
04:24The threat wasn't Roman soldiers.
04:27It wasn't pagan philosophers.
04:29It was men inside the church.
04:32Leaders.
04:32Who would distort the truth.
04:35Fast forward to today.
04:36False teachers are not just outside seminaries or on street corners.
04:42They're on your screen, in your pulpit, quoting Bible verses, smiling, praising Jesus.
04:48They come in suits.
04:50They come in sneakers.
04:51But always with a smooth tongue and a hidden agenda.
04:55They preach another Jesus.
04:56One who never confronts, never judges, never calls for repentance.
05:01They peddle a gospel of prosperity, self-help, and personal greatness.
05:07But behind the curtain, they serve themselves, not Christ.
05:10And the church loves them.
05:12Why?
05:13Because they make people feel good.
05:15Because they affirm fleshly desires and call them blessings.
05:20Because they promise crowns without crosses.
05:22But Jesus warned us, clearly.
05:26Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves of Matthew 7, 15.
05:34The danger isn't that they deny Christ outright.
05:37It's that they redefine Him.
05:40They recite scripture, but drain it of meaning.
05:42They speak of grace, but ignore the demands of holiness, and tragically, many follow them, thinking they are on the narrow path when they are running toward destruction.
05:54Beloved, the greatest threat to the church is not persecution.
05:59It is deception.
06:01We must test every spirit, 1 John 4, 1.
06:04We must measure every sermon, every book, every podcast, by the word of God, because when false teachers arise from within, it is the discerning, not the popular, who will remain faithful.
06:19Keynote 3
06:20Scripture as the final authority, not culture years ago, there was a young seminary student who was on fire for God.
06:28He studied the Bible with passion, love, preaching, and longed to serve the church.
06:35But one day, while sitting in a theology class, his professor asked a simple question.
06:41What happens when scripture offends the culture?
06:45Some students suggested compromise.
06:48Others thought silence was safer.
06:51But the professor stood still and said,
06:54We do not adjust the word to suit the times.
06:57The word judges the times.
06:59That young man never forgot it.
07:02Today, we live in a world obsessed with trends.
07:05Culture demands affirmation, not confrontation.
07:09Sin must be rebranded, and truth must be reimagined.
07:13And sadly, many churches have obeyed.
07:16They no longer ask,
07:18What does God say?
07:20But what will people think?
07:22They treat the Bible like a buff, a taking grace, leaving judgment.
07:27Keeping love, tossing holiness.
07:29But God's word is not a menu to choose from.
07:32It is the revealed will of the Almighty.
07:35It's not up for edits, updates, or modern sensitivity.
07:39Yet, many pulpits today interpret scripture through the lens of culture.
07:44That's backwards.
07:46The early church stood against the culture.
07:48Today's church often mirrors it.
07:51Isaiah warned of this long ago.
07:53Woe to those who call evil good and good evil.
07:56Isaiah 5, 20.
07:58But now, churches do just that.
08:00They celebrate sin as progress.
08:03They call rebellion.
08:04Authenticity.
08:05And they hide cowardice behind the word compassion.
08:08But here's the truth.
08:10The word of God doesn't change.
08:12Heaven and earth will pass away.
08:14But not one word of scripture will fail Matthew 24, 35.
08:19It is timeless, unshaken, and forever relevant.
08:23Beloved, we do not need a new gospel.
08:25We need to return to the one we've abandoned.
08:28Christ does not need rebranding.
08:30He needs to be rightly proclaimed.
08:32Let the church tremble at His word again.
08:34Let us fear God more than we fear man.
08:37Because the moment we let culture interpret scripture, we no longer serve the living God.
08:42We serve ourselves.
08:44Keynote 4.
08:45Loving truth means hating lies.
08:47There was a faithful preacher once, invited to speak at a large Christian conference.
08:53The crowd was filled with church leaders, influencers, and best-selling authors.
08:58As he stepped to the podium, he opened his Bible and boldly declared,
09:02If you truly love God, you will hate what is false.
09:06A heavy silence filled the room.
09:09He went on to name specific teachings, false gospels, prosperity lies, moral compromise,
09:15that were gaining popularity in the church.
09:19He pleaded with pastors to stop tolerating deception in the name of unity.
09:24He called it what it was, rebellion.
09:27Afterward, many applauded him, but even more criticized.
09:32He's too harsh.
09:33He lacks grace.
09:35That's not loving.
09:37But was it not Jesus who drove out the money changers?
09:41Was it not Paul who named false teachers by name?
09:45Was it not the Spirit who called the early church?
09:49Test every teaching.
09:50Biblical love is not soft.
09:52It is sharp.
09:53It defends truth.
09:54It exposes lies.
09:56Love rejoices in the truth.
09:571 Corinthians 13, 6.
10:00Which means it does not rejoice in error.
10:03If we claim to love the truth but tolerate lies,
10:06then we don't truly love the truth.
10:08We love peace, comfort.
10:10Acceptance.
10:11The church today often boasts of being welcoming.
10:15But too often that means welcoming lies.
10:17We sing of Jesus, yet ignore His words.
10:21We preach love, yet ignore His holiness.
10:25We offer grace, yet redefine it to permit sin.
10:29But truth is not cruel.
10:31It is the most loving gift we can give.
10:33Tell a sinner the truth of the gospel, that repentance is required, that sin must be turned from, that Jesus is Lord.
10:42It is not hate speech.
10:44It is the only hope for a dying soul.
10:47Beloved, if we love God, we must hate what God hates, not with bitterness, not with arrogance, but with brokenhearted conviction.
10:56This generation doesn't need more churches that fit in.
11:00It needs churches that stand out.
11:02And that begins when we love truth enough to confront lies, whether in the world or within our own pews.
11:10Keynote 5, the call to stand.
11:13Even alone, there was a young man named Elijah, not the prophet.
11:17But a faithful believer in modern times.
11:20He had grown up in the church, memorized scripture, and walked closely with the Lord.
11:24But when he entered Bible college, he was shocked.
11:28Professors who once stood firm now apologized for the Bible.
11:32Fellow students laughed at the idea of hell, and many called sin a personal journey.
11:38Elijah didn't want to cause trouble, so he stayed quiet, at first.
11:43But something inside him broke when a chapel speaker said,
11:47Jesus didn't come to judge sin.
11:49He came to affirm your story.
11:52Elijah stood to his feet.
11:53That's not what the Bible says.
11:56He said softly, but firmly, the room fell silent.
12:00He was ridiculed.
12:01Later, his advisor warned him,
12:04If you keep challenging things like that, you might lose support, or worse, your place here.
12:10But Elijah...
12:11Remember Jesus' words in Matthew 10.
12:1533.
12:16Whoever denies me before men, I will also deny before my Father in heaven.
12:20So he chose to stand, even if it meant standing alone, and so must we.
12:27This world is growing darker, but the tragedy is not that sinners sin.
12:32That's expected.
12:34The tragedy is when...
12:35The church silences truth so it won't offend darkness.
12:38When the pulpit becomes politically correct, when pastors become motivational speakers, when truth becomes optional, beloved, truth has always been costly, the prophets were stoned, the apostles were imprisoned, Christ was crucified, and we...
12:55Think we can follow him, and still be applauded by the world.
12:59No, the church must remember, we were never called to be popular.
13:04We were called to be faithful.
13:06In this age of compromise, God is not looking for celebrities.
13:11He is looking for servants, men and women, who will not bend the knee to culture.
13:15Who will not fear being cancelled?
13:18Who will not trade truth for applause?
13:20Yes, it will cost you.
13:22Yes, you may stand alone, but never forget.
13:25You are never truly alone when you stand with Christ.
13:28The truth is on trial, but Christ has already won, and now he asks,
13:33Will you stand for me, even if no one else will?
13:36You are able to spell it.
13:38Do you in the right position?
13:39The truth lies on the right position.
13:40The truth lies in the right position.
13:41The truth lies in the right position.
13:42There is nothing that you will.
13:43Just be all dealt with us at the right position.
13:44Because it does not know, remember, we are still
13:55a bunch of prayers are ugly and foul.
13:56You happen to not even think, but we are not even alone.
13:57But we are unable to do things with a tell message.
13:59The truth lies stand for them all, likeSon of it, as well.
14:01Until you do things that harm or other people are known for yourself
14:04lying to the friends.
14:05The truth lies with the seven things and struggle are gathered.
