00:00I'd also just like to point out we were down on Friday announcing at our you
00:07know illegal alien deportation facility at Alligator Alcatraz DHS. So this was
00:18basically just an airport there and within record time they've built this
00:23and now you've had hundreds of illegal aliens that have been flown out of there
00:30for deport so that is underway we hope that the cadence picks up because you
00:36know it's like people will you know say they have these agendas or whatever but
00:41like you know these these illegals have already been ordered to be removed from
00:45this country through our legal process they have these orders of removal and
00:51they're they're absconding and they're not willing to follow the law even when
00:55you've been adjudicated to have been in the country illegally and I think that
01:00there's 750 to 800,000 nationally that are in that status and in Florida we
01:07think it's 50 to 75,000 illegals that have these orders now obviously Biden
01:12wasn't doing anything I'm on that for four years but some of these people may
01:16have been under even longer than that I don't know but the reality is is if
01:21you don't support sending somebody back to their home country who's came in
01:26illegally and it's already been ordered that they're violating the law in order
01:30to be removed if you don't support that then you are for an open border and just
01:34admit it just tell everyone you want to open border let anyone who wants just to
01:39plow into our country regardless of whether it's good for the American people I
01:43reject that that is not how a country can operate the borders matter the
01:48sovereignty matters and ultimately the question of who comes into the country is a
01:54question for the American people to decide and they're free to enact an open
02:00border if they want but they've never done that through policy because if
02:04politicians ran on that openly they would lose in most parts of the country and
02:10almost any part of Florida maybe not Gainesville and a couple others but most of
02:14them they would they would lose so they don't do that and so they they use these
02:18catchphrases they talk about we need comprehensive immigration policy all that
02:23stuff which is basically just code for amnesty in code for open border and you've
02:30had a huge amount of problem in Europe by them having open borders I think it's
02:34been a total catastrophe and I think it's been a big problem here and you know some
02:39of the things like yes we don't want illegal immigration that's wrong but
02:44there's also some people a lot of these Republicans and say oh you can have a
02:47million people plowing as long as it's legal that's good is that really good it
02:51doesn't it depend on why they're coming in like for example you have some of
02:55these tech companies they're laying off all these American workers and then
02:59they're importing h1b visa people to work for cheaper I think that's a total scam I
03:05don't think that that's good yes it is legal the way they're doing it I
03:09acknowledge that they're they're using something that's on the books but is that
03:12good policy for us as a country to have Americans put out of work and then to
03:17bring in h1b visa and then they do chain migration from the h1b so the h1b is
03:24bringing in other folks and it's almost like indentured servitude because you
03:28can't leave the company and so these companies love it because they save a lot of
03:32money off of it but that's not putting the American people first and so
03:35there's a whole host of I think really important issues and the way I view it is
03:40we're a country with borders and sovereignty and if you don't have that
03:45then you don't ultimately have a country we the American people decide who comes
03:50and who doesn't and you can do that how however you want American people have
03:54enacted through their representatives this h1b we're free to you know get that to
03:59be to get that be taken away you either you're not nothing's wedded here but
04:03that's what it's all about and what you're seeing in Florida we're the only
04:07state that has stepped up to lead to enhance these efforts for immigration
04:14enforcement and to to increase people and the thing is you've had millions and
04:18millions and millions maybe 10 million under Biden maybe more but certainly at
04:23least seven or eight million come in illegally and from all over the world not
04:28just from Mexico or Central America you had people coming from China you had
04:33people coming from Iran you had people coming from Russia you had people coming
04:37from all these places and it's like okay you know are all those folks just here
04:42because they want to have a picnic maybe a lot of them I don't know but I know not
04:46all of them right I know that when you have that many millions of people you
04:50definitely have folks who are going to cause you know who are here to cause a lot of
04:54problems and I think that that's been a soft underbelly of this country to have
04:59that border the way it was under Biden so we're really leaning in we're the only
05:03state that requires cooperation with DHS with all our state and local law
05:08enforcement agencies like look in Florida I'm gonna order the state agencies to do
05:12it right I mean that's fine but you know there's a lot of local police
05:17department sheriff's departments they'd rather not be involved in I get it but
05:20we're either gonna solve this problem now or we're never gonna solve it so so
05:24we've been leaning in on this in a really big way and I know the president
05:29and some of his key people in this space have called on other states to to do
05:35similar to Florida and I'd like to see that I think that that would really make a
05:39difference just getting through all the people that have already been ordered to
05:44be removed you know that's not that's not an easy thing to do that's a lot of
05:48logistics you gotta fly and do this and do that fortunately alligator Alcatraz you
05:53literally just drive them 2,000 feet and there's a massive runway right there so
05:57it's very easy it's one-stop shop to be able to do this and to get it done and
06:02you know I've been pointing this out but this is true and people just need to
06:05know this you know I called a special session of the Florida legislature at the
06:09beginning of the year because I said we have a mandate president's policy is to
06:14reinstitute borders and to make sure that we have deportations of illegals and so
06:20we did that I proposed the policies that we have now but I was initially that was
06:27not something that particularly the speaker of the house was willing to
06:30follow so they did this bill and they put it on my desk Perez Grutter's amnesty
06:35bill and it would have made alligator Alcatraz illegal in the state of Florida it
06:40actually would have affirmatively shut down everything I've been doing in my
06:44administration's been doing to protect against you know illegals on boats from
06:49Haiti and Bahamas and all these different places I mean it would have
06:52totally stripped the governor from being able to be involved in immigration
06:57enforcement at all well guess what guys if I wasn't involved in creating
07:01alligator do you think that would have been built of course it wouldn't have been
07:04built and so this is what happened and I vetoed that legislation but how is it that
07:11you have this massive Republican majorities and then they're trying to kneecap one
07:17of the most important issues to the voters that elected us and so look I think
07:23people are saying oh look at Florida they're doing all this stuff but
07:25understand there's a lot of people people that you elected who didn't want to
07:32see that happen or at least voted in way that wouldn't have done yeah I vetoed it
07:35we eventually got good legislation but why did it have to even come to that and I
07:40think that's a window into this is why no other state has done this right because
07:45these guys run for office they talk about oh we're gonna be tough on
07:50immigration the border and then they get in and they don't do it and that's why
07:54we're the only state of 50 that's actually done what we've done and I don't
07:59think there's another state that's quite frankly even close hopefully some will
08:02get on on board here but that's just kind of been the nature of it and
08:06honestly like that probably would have happened to Florida but you got me
08:12sitting here and I'm knocking about to let that happen and so we made sure that
08:16we're doing what's right so I think you're gonna see the cadence increase down
08:19there I think you're gonna see you know rapid flights from the ages we don't run
08:23those flights DHS runs them but we are absolutely committed to making sure that
08:29that this pot these policies actually work and that these policies are being
08:34delivered that the American people have asked for for so many years as we've
08:38seen this really horrible border situation in immigration system spiral out of
08:43control particularly under the the Joe Biden presidency so I want to thank Kevin
08:48Guthrie who's spearheaded and organized all the stuff down there he heads our
08:53division of emergency management hopefully you guys don't see him here
08:57this summer because that would not be that would not be good as well as all the
09:03state and local law enforcement agencies have been really great partners in that a
09:08lot of our sheriffs have been fantastic and we've really worked well with DHS to
09:13show you know what federal and state cooperation can be so so thanks for
09:17everyone that's been involved in that this is just kind of one more one more
09:21milestone there's a lot more that's going to happen we want to make sure that that
09:24that is expanded so that the laws of this of this country are honored and enforced okay
