00:00hello folks welcome to security newsroom so today we are going to discuss about the recent Pakistan
00:16India military standoff that took place in my 2025 and has been back into the media due to
00:24the president Trump claiming that the conflict saw at least five Indian jets got shot down so
00:29let's listen what president Trump had to say by the way India Pakistan was probably going to end up in
00:35a nuclear war if they kept you know they had they shut down five planes in the last attack and it was
00:41back and forth back and forth back so apart from president Trump's comment the Indian media the
00:49print news has also created a sensation that Pakistan Air Force has used NATO or US Air Force
00:56style air tactics against the Indian Air Force according to the news Pakistan did what is known
01:02as launch and leave tactics where missile once fired by one jet in this case probably the JF-17
01:10is actually guided by another jet it may be J-10C or even Pakistani avax therefore instead of providing
01:18mid-course guidance by the JF-17 itself the rest of the engagement was left to J-10 of Pakistan Air Force
01:25which has powerful radar and sensors the J-10 may also launch its own missile on the same target
01:32the first jet leads to secure itself from enemy's countermeasures while other jet with more powerful
01:40radar guides the fired missile from a safe distance this not only saves both the jets performing
01:47cooperative engagement it also confuses enemy jets that try to engage the jet that was actually hot
01:53initially and now turned cold by leaving the battlefield and hence effort caught failed while
02:00the another jet that was J-10C that was rather cold in the battle space now takes the charge of the
02:07missile guidance this is also known as swap jet engagement where one jet engages and then leave the
02:15battlefield is fought by his partner that later assumes the lead role on the other hand this is also called
02:22bait and engage tactics or even an air ambush done by attack team of two jets where one jets initially starts
02:32or give the bait itself to the enemy and leaves while dragging the enemy fighter within the kill range of
02:38its team partner they these are very bold and dangerous maneuvers to be performed in the actual jet combat
02:46now it is very interesting to note that this air battle was one of the world's largest four plus
02:54generation fighter jets air battle and surprisingly if could not use any air-to-air missile there was no
03:03wreckage found by Pakistanis about any indian air force fighter jet firing its air-to-air missile this is
03:13strange as indian rafal equipped with meteor missile was supposed to have the first detection and the first
03:21launch opportunity and with missile having more range than the pf jets at least on the paper
03:30so what was the reason that indian air force escort jets could not perform any air-to-air kill against Pakistan
03:38it was actually done due to the electronic warfare employed by pakistani air force
03:46the credit goes to dw20 from squadron 24 the blinders of pakistan air force
03:52they disrupted the secure data link of indian air force especially the indian violink that was supposed
03:59to provide a jam proof communication to the indian air force once jammed this resulted in miscalibrating of
04:07the targeting data acquisition by indian air force and hence these could not perform network
04:12communication among all the sorties this was possible due to the technical issue that was even hinted by
04:21the indian chief of defense staff journal anil chuhan that for two days if was almost grounded and that
04:30technical issue was sorted in two days and this was all happening in a very active situation so air
04:38force went into a short mode as to why did this happen they rectified their tactics and flew in again
04:44the jammed communication between different assets of the indian air force also resulted in the failure
04:49of the scott planes to perform in this air battle it is due to the reason that if fired no air-to-air
04:57interceptor missiles during this engagement it is also interesting to note that the indian rafale
05:05jets were having spectra based electronic warfare suite that included radar warning receiver missile
05:13approach warning system which protects jet from the incoming missile threat radar warning receiver
05:19identifies different radar bands of the multiple frequencies from the radio waves to the infrared
05:25to the ultra high frequencies the radar warning receiver contains the scanning system the superhead
05:30receiver or superhetrodine receiver that converted the received signal to an intermediate frequency
05:38for processing the superhead controller analysis processor low band receiver quadrant receiver the purpose
05:46of the radar band receiver is to alert the jet from incoming threats analyze the data and provide a better
05:53picture to get itself secured from the jet this story of the indian media remains the testimony of pakistan air force
06:04being a low-budgeted air force but maintaining professional excellence these issues raise serious question on
06:10the indian air force operational performance in an air engagement and networking issues for more such videos
