00:00Anyway, in conclusion, me and Vice President Harris are the same.
00:03Oh, okay, ha ha, great stuff. Thank you, Joe. Thank you so much.
00:07Welcome to Ms. Mojo.
00:08And today, we're counting down our picks for the boldest, most critical, and or insulting impressions in SNL history.
00:15First, we're going to throw out bogus mail-in ballots.
00:18Calling these ballots, they could be coming from Mars.
00:22Right.
00:24Number 30, Nicolas Cage by Andy Samberg.
00:27The hairline isn't the only notable element of this impression.
00:31Andy Samberg takes on Nicolas Cage's personality, acting, and intensity.
00:36Let's begin. Now, you're currently in the film Sherlock Holmes Game of Shadows,
00:42which I am told involves explosions, screaming, and an evil genius hell-bent on destroying the world.
00:48That's right, I am.
00:49So my first question is, how am I not in that movie?
00:53For a series of Weekend Update segments, Samberg doesn't worry about offending the actor either.
01:00He plays with Cage's tendency to go over the top and beyond with his acting choices.
01:04This character bounces off other Hollywood stars playing themselves, from Jude Law to Liam Neeson.
01:09Wow, that sounds really good.
01:12Don't condescend me, Tal Bono.
01:14The real actor even appears in one variation, looking to defend himself and play with his own persona.
01:22Both performers end up turning this concept into a meta-commentary.
01:26For example, this Nick is calm and stealthy, like a ninja warrior.
01:31Whereas this Nick is an exaggerated, screaming, psychopath.
01:35He really just doesn't exist.
01:39Each appearance makes for both laughs and surprises, fitting for an actor who always keeps us guessing.
01:47Number 29. Kamala Harris by Maya Rudolph
01:49Since the 2020 election season, Maya Rudolph has been playing this Kamala Harris on SNL.
01:55She's also been perfecting her skills with some fantastic performances.
01:59Senator Harris, would you like to respond?
02:02Uh, Tulsi, I'm gonna be real with you, alright?
02:06You scare the hell out of me.
02:08You just gave me, oh my god, Gershberms.
02:13These include some accurate details like Harris' delivery and vocals.
02:17Rudolph turns debates into hilarious affairs, making the future VP into someone trying hard to be cool.
02:22Excuse me. No, no, Joe. There have been two black women elected to the Senate.
02:28And that second black woman, it me.
02:38She returned to play the leader in 2024 for parodies of her personal and political connections.
02:44This included some fantastic chemistry with Andy Samberg as her husband, Doug Emhoff.
02:48Hey, and the polls are looking great, and I may have accidentally Googled myself, too.
02:53Turns out some people are calling me a grilf, which means golden retriever I'd like to French.
02:59Huh. I'm pretty sure that's wrong.
03:01Yeah, it's probably wrong.
03:02The peak of this impression is arguably playing opposite the real Harris, poking fun at her distinct laugh.
03:09I don't really laugh like that, do I?
03:16A little bit.
03:18Number 28. Tom York by Fred Armisen.
03:21In less than a minute, Fred Armisen makes a major splash as the frontman for Radiohead.
03:26He plays Tom York in a disastrous duet with Michael Buble.
03:30Silence, silence, silence, silence.
03:34Holy, holy, holy, holy.
03:37Armisen doesn't do this in a straightforward way, either, letting his impersonation take a more crazed direction.
03:43This includes the comedian playing the singer as more erratic and indecipherable.
03:46York's beautiful falsettos don't make an appearance here, but Armisen's physical comedy certainly does.
03:56It's not necessarily the kindest way to salute an acclaimed artist, either.
04:00This energetic performance is hilarious, manic, and one of the underrated parts of this funny sketch.
04:06Number 27. Jennifer Lawrence by Ariana Grande.
04:09While she might not seem like an obvious target, Jennifer Lawrence becomes a great comic character in the Celebrity Family Feud sketch.
04:17They told me not to do a game show, but I was like, screw it, I can have fun, I'm a regular person.
04:22Ariana Grande once again shows her versatile talents as she becomes the Oscar-winning performer.
04:27The singer is able to capture and poke fun at Lawrence's personality.
04:31With some help from Kenan Thompson as Steve Harvey, the script takes aim at Lawrence as being too relatable for her own good.
04:37Name a bad habit that you just can't quit. Jennifer.
04:41I'm just like a snackaholic. I mean, I love Pringles. If no one's looking, I'll eat like a whole can.
04:46Like, every day is my cheat day, you know what I mean?
04:47Oh, how annoyingly relatable.
04:51It's all in good fun, but the sketch does take the subject down a few notches.
04:56Grande's performance is also something to behold as she finds subtle details to use.
05:01Number 26. Rami Malek by Pete Davidson.
05:04Pete Davidson isn't necessarily known for his impressions, but this one is a definite standout.
05:09Maybe something fun and super high energy.
05:14He manages to tap into Rami Malek's unique presence.
05:18This includes the actor's dramatic stare, which lets Davidson give a minimal performance.
05:23Does that work?
05:26It makes the Oscar winner seem much creepier than he might be in real life.
05:29While this paints the target as unsettling, it also pokes fun at the subject's intensity.
05:34You can't help but laugh as the performer speaks in monotone and tries not to blink.
05:39During Malek's episode, the Bohemian Rhapsody star finally got his revenge while also displaying his great comedic timing.
05:45I mean, I went to school in Staten Island.
05:49And all of our classes were to prepare us to be like firefighters or racist cops.
05:55Number 25. Rudy Giuliani by Kate McKinnon.
05:59In terms of makeup and hairstyle alone, this easily stands as one of the most unflattering SNL impressions.
06:05Kate McKinnon then opens her mouth to play Rudy Giuliani as something more sinister.
06:10Oh, yeah. My next witness needs no introduction.
06:14Or at least I hope she doesn't because I lost the paper with all her information on it.
06:19The cast member doesn't mind using her hands, contorting herself to become something close to a Lord of the Rings character.
06:25I'm glad I made it to the show on time because first I went to 30 Rocks.
06:30That's a granite quarry in New Rochelle. What a nice.
06:33It's such an impressive transformation that you might laugh and or look away in horror.
06:41At first, McKinnon might seem like an unlikely candidate to impersonate the former mayor.
06:45But the way she loses herself in the role is incredible.
06:49Every subsequent appearance pushes the role into more embarrassing and unsightly territory.
06:53Hey, not so fast.
06:56You have a new revelation too?
06:59No, I meant not so fast, but don't talk so fast.
07:02I'm having trouble understanding what's happening.
07:05Normally I watch Fox News in slow motion with the sound turned up to 100.
07:10Number 24. Janine Pirro by Cecily Strong.
07:14On Weekend Update, Cecily Strong appeared as the conservative personality Janine Pirro,
07:18who always seems to be riled up about something.
07:21Ms. Pirro, you don't have to yell so loudly. I'm right here.
07:24Sorry, Colin. Mime only speaks with the same volume as the woman who's just lost her child in the Mall of America.
07:31Casey! Casey!
07:33Not only does she sensationalize everything, she usually carries a drink with her.
07:39Strong doesn't hesitate to give this version of Pirro a problem handling her liquor.
07:43However, she doesn't drink it so much as she tosses it everywhere.
07:47Colin Jost often becomes the target of these spills, making for some fantastic physical comedy.
07:52The cast member turns this TV star into a hysterical spectacle.
07:56It's a shame that the actual person doesn't enter tanks of booze, singing her heart out to My Way.
08:01Number 23. Joe Biden by Dana Carvey.
08:12Decades after leaving the show, Dana Carvey returned to play Joe Biden.
08:16He once again showed his knack for political impressions.
08:20Folks, that's right. A lot of people forget I'm president, including me.
08:25His take on the president involves catchphrases, rambling, and some incoherent statements.
08:31Needless to say, the politician might not be calling to thank Carvey anytime soon.
08:36You've been watching this guy? Come on, waltz. What's wrong with that guy?
08:39He's crazy. Get your facts straight, Jack.
08:43You gotta hit him with a, no joke, here's the deal.
08:46The comedian does look like he's having fun as he turns Biden into a cartoon.
08:51Forgetful and bumbling, this version of the man makes for some wild speeches.
08:56His work next to Maya Rudolph's Kamala Harris helps to sell just how good this impersonation is.
09:01Thank you, Joe Biden. Thank you for putting country first and for handing over the reins.
09:06I didn't want to. They made me.
09:10The former cast member never misses a beat, showing that he can still be as silly as possible.
09:16No. Oh, come on, man. It's my own version of the weave. I call it the wander.
09:21I go here. Or I go there. Do I come back? Guess what? No.
09:28Number 22. David Patterson by Fred Armisen
09:30You might not remember this governor of New York, but you might recall Fred Armisen's impression.
09:36The comedian pokes fun at David Patterson's vision in some off-the-wall segments.
09:41Hello, Yankee Stadium!
09:42His character slides into frame, struggling to find his way, and even using binoculars at one point.
09:51He's even known to step in front of the camera.
09:53It might not be politically correct, but it does make for some amusing surprises.
09:58This Patterson also loves to make jokes at the expense of his neighbor state, New Jersey.
10:02I am hopeful, because I know that the worst is behind us.
10:06And you know how you can tell that the worst is behind you, Seth?
10:08How?
10:09You see a sign that says, you are now leaving New Jersey!
10:14Armisen really goes for it, fearless in his quest to tread the line between humor and bad taste.
10:19You know, working in Albany is a lot like watching Saturday Night Live.
10:23There's a lot of characters, it's funny for ten minutes, and then you just want it to go away.
10:27Number 21.
10:29Gerald Ford by Chevy Chase
10:31During the early years of SNL, the president was Gerald Ford.
10:35Chevy Chase did not look like the man, or alter his look in any way.
10:39My fellow Americans, ladies and gentlemen, members of the press, and my immediate family.
10:48First may I thank you all for being here, and I am in my immediate family.
10:52He chose to make the politician clumsy, taking comical missteps and even a few pratfalls.
10:58His debate work alongside Dan Aykroyd's Jimmy Carter features plenty of wrong answers.
11:02We will begin with our national anthem.
11:08I can name that tune in four notes.
11:10If you only got your news from SNL, you'd think that Ford fell in every public appearance.
11:16Chase put his body on the line to make this impersonation special.
11:19The cast member treated audiences with hilarious gags, making the character as inept as possible.
11:25My stand on the Ronald Reagan announcement.
11:30Yeah, hello.
11:33Number 20.
11:34Burt Reynolds by Norm MacDonald
11:35Norm MacDonald can make us laugh by doing just about anything.
11:39But his Burt Reynolds impression is particularly legendary.
11:43Burt, can you please pick a category?
11:46Pick shorts.
11:47Yeah, sure.
11:49Give me swords.
11:50It's S-words.
11:52It's S-words.
11:54And for how much, Mr. Reynolds?
11:56The hell, let's go nuts.
11:58Swords for $48,000.
11:59MacDonald lampooned Reynolds, or should we say Turd Ferguson, in the first ever iteration of the Celebrity Jeopardy! series on SNL,
12:06and returned as the character eight times throughout the show's run.
12:09Hey, check out the podium.
12:10Look at this.
12:11Mr. Reynolds has apparently changed his name to Turd Ferguson.
12:15Yeah, that's right.
12:18Turd Ferguson.
12:19It's a funny name.
12:20He played him as an over-the-top cool guy with not so much in the noggin, who gets a kick out of his own half-witted quips.
12:26It's hard to say that this portrayal is accurate to the actor's real-life intelligence, but it became an iconic impression nevertheless.
12:33Mr. Reynolds!
12:34Yeah, don't bother.
12:35I didn't write anything.
12:36Good work.
12:37Number 19.
12:38Kendall Jenner by Gal Gadot
12:39In a spoof of the E! lineup, this sketch takes a look at potential spin-offs for shows like Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
12:46These include one for Kendall Jenner with an entertaining impression from Gal Gadot.
12:50I'm on there a lot of pressure.
12:52So much pressure.
12:53You're prettier than me.
12:55No way!
12:57You're so much prettier than me.
12:59Wait, which one am I?
13:01The Wonder Woman star portrays the model as clueless, remaining in a constant state of confusion about her life.
13:07Gadot also appears in another hilarious show about Jenner trying to find her way around a house.
13:12Hello?
13:13The house is so big and empty, and she's only there two weeks out of the year.
13:17Is this the bathroom?
13:18Damn, closet again.
13:21With off-the-wall concepts, the writers explore the character through the stereotype of a shallow celebrity.
13:27Whether or not you think it's accurate, you'll probably laugh as you watch the performer get completely lost in the role.
13:33Number 18.
13:34Brett Kavanaugh by Matt Damon
13:35For this cold open, the show called in a movie star to channel the energy of Brett Kavanaugh.
13:41Matt Damon's take on the Supreme Court justice starts in a loud and hilarious way.
13:45Oh, hell yeah.
13:48Let me tell you this.
13:50I'm gonna start at an 11.
13:53I'm gonna take it to about a 15 real quick.
13:56Referencing the man's apparent love of beer, Damon turns his target into a frat boy with a harsh tone.
14:02He also brings out real references to the hearing that include props like a calendar.
14:06Riding an emotional roller coaster, the Oscar winner takes the impression through screams and even some crying spells.
14:12Look at my calendars.
14:15And you're gonna see that every night, I was lifting weights with PJ and squeeze.
14:22It might even be accurate in places, but ultimately, it becomes an enjoyable caricature.
14:28Number 17.
14:29Kathy Lee Gifford by Kristen Wiig
14:31If you were to believe this impression of the Today Show host, you'd think she was drinking all the time.
14:36Kristen Wiig's hilarious take on Kathy Lee Gifford is heavy on the wine in a cartoonish way.
14:42I'm Kathy Lee Gifford, and I am like,
14:44So I'm at a puzzle.
14:50And I'm Hoda Kotfi.
14:51Hoda Kotfi.
14:52God, I'm never gonna get past that weird name.
14:55Huh?
14:55What?
14:56It's weird.
14:57Lovable and clumsy.
14:58This version of the presenter feels like a fantastic train wreck.
15:02This imitation of Gifford slurs her words and constantly questions her actions, making faces along the way.
15:08Wiig's lighthearted jabs at the TV personality make her an unfiltered mess.
15:12Um, potables?
15:13I'm sorry, I don't know what that is.
15:15It's about alcohol.
15:16Oh, in that case, I'll take pot and potables.
15:21For how much?
15:23How about a glass full, right?
15:25It's not exactly flattering, but it is a clear example of the SNL star's power as a comedian.
15:34Back during his time as the vice president, Joe Biden was impersonated on SNL by Jason Sudeikis.
15:41The actor's take on the politician was of a slightly confused man with prominent teeth.
15:49He also leans into the VP's more embarrassing side, talking without a filter most of the time.
15:55Sudeikis also references the fact that most people in Biden's previous position are forgotten.
16:00There's also his frequent mentioning of Scranton, just one of the ways the character uses to try and connect with the general public.
16:06It's just a corrupt, barren, backwater hellhole of a place.
16:11I mean, it's worse than Scranton.
16:12Ultimately, the show chose to portray the leader as an uncle who can't always state his message well.
16:17Jim Carrey would later capitalize on this idea, taking the impression on the 2020 campaign trail.
16:23Look, here's the deal.
16:27Nope, lost it.
16:28Come back to me.
16:30Number 15.
16:31Hillary Clinton by Kate McKinnon.
16:33For the 2016 campaign season, Kate McKinnon brought out a killer Hillary Clinton impersonation.
16:38I'm sure I will face some stiff competition from my fellow Democrats.
16:44People like Martin O'Malley, who could really give me a run for my money.
16:51The caricature delves into the politician's attempts to connect with the youth vote.
16:56This includes campaign announcements and advertisements, most of which give off an awkward mom energy.
17:01There are also debates against the likes of Alec Baldwin's Trump that devolve into rants from McKinnon's Clinton.
17:07And then I was Secretary of State, and I don't know if you've heard this before.
17:11We have.
17:12But I was instrumental in taking down a man by the name of...
17:16Osama Bin Laden.
17:17Osama.
17:17The performer always knocks it out of the park with excellent comic timing.
17:21Whether she's about to freak out or trying desperately to hold it together,
17:24this take on the former Secretary of State is obsessed with winning the presidency.
17:29Number 14.
17:30Julia Child by Dan Aykroyd.
17:32For those that love Dan Aykroyd, they might not have originally envisioned him as Julia Child.
17:37The performer provides a funny spoof of the chef's cooking show.
17:41Welcome.
17:42I'm Julia Child.
17:45Today we're going to make a holiday feast, or la fête d'aulde.
17:50And we're going to start with half-bone chicken.
17:52Instead of showing her as a cooking expert, Aykroyd plays her as a clumsy TV personality.
17:57He puts on a wig and a dress, creating an outrageous take on Child's voice.
18:02The best part of the interpretation comes when a knife chops part of the host's hand.
18:06Now I've done it.
18:07I've cut the dickens out of my finger.
18:09Well, I'm glad in a way this happened.
18:11With blood flying everywhere, the comedian has no fear of making his real-life counterpart look crazy.
18:18This doesn't stop the sketch either, as the SNL legend brings some physical comedy to this impression.
18:23Number 13.
18:25Ross Perot by Dana Carvey.
18:26Dana Carvey's expertise with impressions gives this take on Ross Perot a memorable quality.
18:32He definitely nails the voice, while also turning up the dial on the presidential candidate's unique mannerisms.
18:38Now I want to focus on the issues in this campaign, but it seems these people in the press want to focus on my business practices,
18:43or some fella I might have fired, or my physical appearance, my ears.
18:46The character can turn any campaign speech into a one-man show with wild proposals and metaphors.
18:51In any situation, this version of Perot provides hilarious observations about anything and everything.
18:58He even appears in a Halloween sketch where he criticizes kids in their costumes,
19:02showing that there's absolutely no barrier between what he thinks and what he says.
19:06Carvey once again proves that an exaggerated accent and even some dancing go a long way.
19:23In the first several seasons of the show, Gilda Radner impersonated legendary interviewer Barbara Walters.
19:33Well, technically she's called Baba Wawa, but we all know who she's parodying.
19:37Hello, I'm Baba Wawa, and welcome to Baba Wawa at Wage.
19:43We are indeed lucky to have as our guest tonight.
19:46This version of the presenter makes for an over-the-top and enjoyable experience every time.
19:51Radner gives Walters a unique way of pronouncing certain consonants,
19:54making every interview segment extra interesting.
19:57This comes out with interviewees that range from Henry Kissinger to Marlena Dietrich.
20:01Tell us your secret of perpetual youth.
20:04I get massaged regularly.
20:07And I have had everything wifted.
20:11You mean you've had your wigs wifted?
20:13Everything.
20:14The SNL cast member wears a smile through every sketch as she plays the journalist like a cartoon.
20:19You could call it more of a mean caricature,
20:22but it's such an exaggerated character that you have to laugh.
20:26Number 11. Bill Clinton by Phil Hartman
20:28Arguably one of the most versatile performers in SNL history,
20:32there is nothing Phil Hartman couldn't do.
20:34We simply must draw the line somewhere.
20:37We cannot pay for everything.
20:39For example,
20:40cooties are covered.
20:42But not the heebie-jeebies.
20:44His run as Bill Clinton in the 1990s is full of gems that are still quoted today,
20:49spoofing the president's relationship with his wife.
20:51Hartman's performance exaggerates the Bill and Hillary dynamic with comedic results.
20:55Is that about it?
20:57So far, yeah.
21:00Oh boy.
21:01He's able to use the politician's charisma and use it against people like in the famous McDonald's sketch.
21:06This version of Clinton loves fast food and slick speeches that seem to be all jumbled together.
21:11The comedian utilizes all of the best cliches about politics,
21:15giving this interpretation an inflated ego and a speech for any occasion.
21:20Number 10. Justin Bieber by Kate McKinnon
21:22Yes, this impersonation is savage,
21:25but McKinnon's self-professed method behind pulling off the perfect Justin Bieber impression
21:29isn't exactly a compliment to the singer either.
21:31It's looking like a puppy who just piddled and is sort of sorry about it.
21:38Both the physicality of the role and the dialogue are hilarious to watch,
21:41as McKinnon nails the young pop star's cockiness with pouts and poses
21:45while perfectly undercutting that image with some particularly childish lines and actions.
21:50Oh, Steve, I don't party as much because I'm a man now.
21:55I got like five little mustache hairs and I'm bringing them all for you, girl.
22:01It might be an exaggerated impression,
22:04but it's absolutely without fault from a comedic standpoint,
22:07proving once again that McKinnon's comedy skills know no bounds.
22:11I couldn't afford a hotel room because I'm like a poor carpenter or something.
22:15I don't know.
22:17Number 9. Kanye West by Chris Redd
22:20All eyes turned to SNL when we learned of Kanye's meeting with the 45th president,
22:24and boy did they deliver.
22:26Yeah, that's right. I flew here using the power of this hat.
22:31Chris Redd had big shoes to fill in taking over this role from Jay Pharoah,
22:35and he did not disappoint.
22:37His impression is uncanny, perfectly capturing everything from Kanye's intonation and mannerisms
22:42to the unpredictability of what he might say or do next.
22:45And I don't want to brag, bro. I don't want to brag,
22:48but I really have a high IQ. I'm a stable genius.
22:51I got a big brain, and I got the best words.
22:54SNL didn't have to look too far for inspiration for this sketch either,
22:57as the material pretty much writes itself.
23:00However, Redd's hilarious impression just reminds us that a chat with Ye can be a tad surreal.
23:06Number 8. Kellyanne Conway by Kate McKinnon
23:09SNL may have been ruthless with their Kellyanne Conway impression,
23:12but there's no denying it got people talking.
23:14I love Trump, and I believe in Trump,
23:17and the reason I joined his campaign is because I thought that he's going to be president for all people.
23:21Really? That's really what you thought?
23:24Mm-hmm. Yes, that's what I thought.
23:25Kellyanne has the tiresome job of excusing all of President Donald Trump's outrageous behavior,
23:31and McKinnon does an impeccable job of dodging questions and inventing her own narrative,
23:35as Conway often seems to do.
23:37Audiences have seen the job take its toll on McKinnon's Kellyanne over the last few years,
23:41culminating in a fatal attraction-style sketch that some claim went a step too far.
23:46What if I do a free commercial for Ivanka's shoes?
23:49Live on air.
23:51But if anyone sums up the media madness surrounding the Trump administration,
23:56it's Kellyanne Conway, and McKinnon has her down to a T.
24:00Okay, so Puerto Rico actually was worse before Hurricane Maria,
24:04and the hurricane actually did blow some buildings back together,
24:07and I don't know why Elizabeth Warren won't tweet about that.
24:09Number 7. Janet Reno by Will Ferrell
24:12This one has a weird premise,
24:14with Will Ferrell playing the former attorney general hosting a teen dance show in her basement.
24:19Number 7. Janet Reno by Will Ferrell
24:24Ferrell plays her as a powerful force to be reckoned with,
24:27highlighting her strongest assets and personality traits.
24:30So how does it feel to be interviewed by the attorney general of the United States?
24:34The job you only dreamed about having, it must feel like crap.
24:37Even surrounded by dancing teens,
24:40this Reno doesn't let up from her role as attorney general,
24:43and her special guests only add to the hilarity.
24:45Maybe having Will Ferrell prance around in a dress,
24:48dancing awkwardly and emphasizing a manly quality isn't the most respectful way to portray her,
24:53but she reportedly took it well, even becoming a fan.
24:57You box dirty!
24:58Then how comes my conscience is so clean?
25:03Number 6. Monica Lewinsky by Molly Shannon
25:06When Monica Lewinsky made headlines in the 90s,
25:09SNL decided to turn away from the obvious Lolita parody
25:12and instead present us with an immature young lady
25:14who simply got caught up in the whirlwind of politics.
25:18And you know, I can only give my exclusive interview to one person, you know?
25:21I mean, it's not like sex.
25:22No.
25:23It's not like sex.
25:25Not only does Molly Shannon's portrayal of her often collapse into nervous giggling,
25:28she also comes across as self-centered,
25:31attention-seeking and not particularly concerned with the consequences.
25:34For breakfast, I can have a couple of peaches and a color.
25:39It was a pretty unforgiving impression at the time,
25:42and it hasn't aged gracefully,
25:44making it even more brutal in hindsight.
25:47Number 5. Sean Spicer by Melissa McCarthy
25:49It was almost a shame when Sean Spicer left the White House,
25:53as it brought an end to Melissa McCarthy's hilariously brutish impression.
25:57When I say Rocky start, I mean it in the sense of Rocky the movie
26:01because I came out here to punch you in the face.
26:04The president reportedly didn't like a woman playing a man in his administration,
26:08which egged SNL on into bringing us Kate McKinnon's unforgettable impression
26:12of ex-Attorney General Jeff Sessions.
26:14Now that's a recall and response, Colin.
26:17That's my catchphrase.
26:19Yeah, yeah.
26:20However, McCarthy's Spicer takes the spot on our list
26:23for her loud, angry, and boisterous impression,
26:26and constant willingness to wage war with the media.
26:29While Spicer took it well,
26:31he also thought McCarthy could tone it down a notch.
26:34Number 4. Sean Connery by Daryl Hammond
26:36Celebrity Jeopardy! is one of Saturday Night Live's most beloved sketches,
26:41and Daryl Hammond's unforgettable performance
26:43as Scottish actor Sean Connery played a huge role
26:46in cementing its place both in SNL history and our hearts.
26:50Well, the game is afoot.
26:53I'll take anal bum cover for $7,000.
26:57For some reason, Hammond's Connery is crude, brutish,
27:01antagonistic, and like all of his opponents, somewhat dim-witted.
27:05One's a sick duck.
27:07I can't remember how it ends, but your mother's a whore.
27:11He deliberately mispronounces phrases
27:13and always has a your mom joke on hand
27:16for disapproving Alex Trebek, played by Will Ferrell.
27:19We're not sure what Connery did to deserve this,
27:21as the impression is far from flattering,
27:24but we wouldn't have it any other way.
27:26I'll take whore ads for $200.
27:28With one of the most impressive performances
27:40in recent SNL history,
27:42James Austin Johnson has been knocking it
27:44out of the park as Donald Trump.
27:46His vocal inflections and rambling
27:48feel almost too accurate at times,
27:50while still being completely silly.
27:52Make no mistake,
27:54what the radical-led Democrats are doing to me
27:56is worse than any crime I've ever committed,
27:59and I've committed a lot.
28:01Close to 34.
28:03It's so precise in those aspects
28:05that the over-the-top dialogue
28:06almost sounds like actual transcripts.
28:09Johnson goes on rants about everything
28:10from politics to pop culture,
28:12throwing out opinions about celebrities
28:14that are especially hilarious.
28:15Speaking of new rules,
28:16Dua Lipa is one of our best cities.
28:20And frankly, in terms of singer,
28:21you can't do better than Dua Lipa.
28:23The show knows how to tackle the president's cadence,
28:25while still leaving room for this performer
28:27to unleash so many crazy lines.
28:30This interpretation feels like
28:31the perfect mix of absurdity and reality,
28:34coming after notable impressions
28:35from Daryl Hammond and Alec Baldwin.
28:37I'd like to start by answering the question
28:39that's on everyone's mind.
28:41Yes, this is real life.
28:42This is really happening.
28:46SNL is great at nailing political parodies.
28:50And Tina Fey's portrayal of former Alaska governor
28:52Sarah Palin was such a hit
28:54that it won her an Emmy for her efforts.
28:56I'd also like to give a shout out
28:58to the third graders of Gladys Woods Elementary
29:00who were so helpful to me in my debate prep.
29:06Fey pokes fun at Palin's beauty pageant days,
29:08lack of political prowess,
29:10and misplaced use of colloquialisms,
29:12wrapping it all up in an accent and voice
29:14that drills itself into your head.
29:16Fey has reprised this role on several occasions,
29:18even in front of former governor Palin herself.
29:22It's all in good fun, of course,
29:23and never fails to make us laugh,
29:25but it is undeniably one of SNL's
29:27most savage and memorable impressions.
29:30All Palin, all the time,
29:31until 2012 when I haven't decided
29:34what I'm gonna do,
29:35but I'm probably gonna run for president.
29:36No!

29:54Number 1.
29:55George W. Bush by Will Ferrell
29:57Will Ferrell's George W. Bush
29:59comes across as likable,
30:00while simultaneously reminding audiences
30:02of all the reasons why George W. Bush
30:05was so controversial and heavily criticized.
30:08There was utterly no legal
30:09or military justification for this strike.
30:13He portrays the former president as dopey,
30:15simple and painfully misinformed.
30:18The accent, language, and mannerisms
30:20all feel incredibly accurate.
30:22And adding insult to injury,
30:24this goofy portrayal rarely failed
30:26to make audiences laugh.
30:28Ready or not, here I come.
30:30You can't hide.
30:32I'm gonna find you
30:34and make you love me.
30:37That's a little something from the Foogies.
30:40The Bush presidency was also a perfect opportunity
30:43to bring back Dana Carvey,
30:45who nails pretty much any impression,
30:47but whose overblown George Bush Sr.
30:49will always hold a special place
30:51in both the SNL archives and our hearts.
30:54What about Social Security?
30:55Should be very social and very secure.
31:02Slip, slide, slip, slide.
31:04What was the most brutal SNL impression we forgot?
