10:38i i think i knew at school that i was gay but because of who my father was being military i thought

10:48well do the the right thing um husband kids i think just knowing that you're not um immortal if you like

10:59yeah that you will die one day and i thought no i can't die without being me

11:03mm-hmm i knew that i can't live the double life anymore you know when you're going through something

11:12that's so life-changing you either tap out or you do the really hard thing and get divorced and and start

11:20your new life and and all that and and i and thankfully i chose the latter and i sat him and my

11:28kids down at the same time and i said look look we're gonna have a discussion here so my daughter

11:32thought that the cats had come back but and i said no you know you know i'm good yeah i said i'm gay

11:39and she went no she sure like i always knew

11:44so i divorced my husband and he was fine and we're still friends now you know it was all yeah it was

11:51fine but i take it you've been out a very long time yeah i i've been out since i was five really

13:09when you're traveling on your own it's you can't have that excitement like you know if you see a

13:14waterfall you go oh it's a waterfall i know i know you know whereas when you're with somebody you

13:20you can enjoy it together yeah well my last relationship was 13 years it wasn't love at

13:26first sight no but it was like two weeks i had known her and then something just clicked and it hit me

13:33and and then we moved in together so we had known each other less than a month oh wow yeah that's that's

13:39quick yeah they said lesbians can be like that though 48 hours i reckon

13:47something hit me and i just fell for that it took me about two weeks and i fell for her and then and

13:53she goes i didn't know you felt like that about me and then she moved in so we lived together for

13:5813 years met my partner my ex-partner uh in like 2001 and i guess by 2015 or so we split up i couldn't i

14:07still don't know what happened uh to be honest because it kind of came out of nowhere oh wow in a

14:11weird way we were hanging out and she goes i slept with someone and i want to end it and that broke my

14:18heart yeah i lost the foundation i had lost a part of me because you love them doesn't mean they're gonna

14:29they love you no exactly yeah and yeah and that's i think that's the hardest bit why am i looking

14:36for a partner now because i've always wanted one also i'm i'm in a good space right now

14:42i'm my heart is is healed i want to fall in love i really want to fall in love me too maybe love's right

14:50in front of you you don't know it at this ripe old age i trust i'm strong enough to hold myself

14:59and i'm also weak enough to give myself as well

15:34and if i ever make a cocktail that matches up to your standard i have completed life

15:39um 35 year old natasha is a globe-trotting high-flying chief stewardess on a super yacht

15:49but wild nights at sea have left her love life high and dry it's another world working for rich

15:57billionaires stereotypically the men that work on boats are also a bit wild

16:29and the finer things in life i'm not really a materialistic person as such although i did just

16:36buy a rolex so you've been on many blind dates never ever been on a blind day right i'm very excited

17:09travel yeah what do you do i actually work at sea i work on super yachts yeah super yachts i've done it

17:14for a long time nice so you don't get seasick then yeah i do i think the worst career ever listen enjoy

17:28is alex a captain who's all hands on deck the favorite part of my job is parking it when it's

17:36windy and there's a little space and you get parking you absolutely nailed it you're like bosh and then

17:40the captain next door gives you a little nod you're like yeah winning how are you i'm very good thank you

17:45very good are you cold yes just flown in from italy so it's a bit warm oh well what were you doing

17:49there i work on a yacht oh what's your role on the yacht try not to crash it so i was 26 when i got

17:56my first captaincy position in australia boat called spank me don't you meet women who are attracted

18:04by what you do or it's not difficult meeting women it's finding one that's worth keeping right should i

18:09take your coat yes please thank you so much so a lot of these girls who attract are very money orientated

18:13gold diggers looking for rich russian guys on the back of yachts which is a good place to find them

18:17i suppose but they're barking up the wrong tree with me so just to let you know your date has arrived

19:31come across that way because trust me it's there's a lot of stuff that goes on behind the scenes that

19:36people don't really get to see like i'm autistic i am what's known as a high functioning autistic

19:46i struggle to know the right words to say to people in certain scenarios

19:51as for um actually going out there and dating people in the beginning it was just like a complete

19:59alien subject to me by my own admission i did try too hard it did unfortunately lead to me being

20:04ghosted after three first dates which uh does take a toll after a while honestly it hurt a little

20:12bit i'm not your quote unquote stereotypical guy with my autism comes a lot of skills that not a lot

20:20of people would necessarily have yeah as a lot of autistic people do we mask ourselves we mask parts of

20:26ourselves that we worry that people won't like because we feel like we have to fit in and we don't

20:32realize that standing out is the best option for us i've been able to recognize most british bird

20:38songs from the age of 12. really i can go out to a nature reserve now and i'll hear a bird song and

20:44like i know what that is yeah okay you can feed it to each other you can couple up together and enjoy

21:03what about in motorhome i'm talking about going out in a motorhome i thought you'd be like a sleeping

21:08bag under the stars and there's like the pebbles sticking in there not that one no no no she's so

21:22know i think i've known you before like when you walked in it's like i feel like i've seen you before

21:28really as soon as i met her it was like i'd known her forever she had this little aura about herself that

26:26i do sometimes feel a little bit left out my friends are experiencing things that sometimes i

26:32think i'm never going to get like it's just not going to happen and the only fictional character or

26:38celebrity i've ever ever been compared to is bridget jones by way too many people it's kind of rude now

26:44but i really want a boyfriend everybody i know seems to have someone else or they have experience

26:50of it there's conversations going on about like you know people not knowing what to do with their

26:55exes i'm like oh imagine having an ex recently i was like i'm just gonna give up i'm just gonna give

27:00up i don't really care anymore it's fine and it's like i still want it i'd love to find someone to

27:06settle down with eventually i'd live in a little house by the sea and i would like to get married

27:12wedding looks like a lot of fun i think because i'm nervous i've gone quite quiet normally i'm the

27:21biggest talker would you say in the right circumstances that you could like talk for ages on

27:27end normally because that was my main concern tonight was that i was worried that i'd be

27:32like cutting you off at different points and that's i don't think you haven't cut me off

34:13roughly about half a year my fiance and i decided mutually not to carry on with our relationship

34:21because he decided he doesn't want children anymore i'm at that age now where if i get any older

34:29i'm not going to be able to have a family yeah i've been on dating apps and it's just really vain

34:34because you're scrolling based upon looks apparently the dad boards in nowadays is it apparently are you a

34:40dad no oh okay it's important to me to find somebody that wants to have a family

34:48i moved off my boat yesterday i'm on vacation i'm out okay yeah i haven't seen my mum for a while

34:55yeah yeah yeah i think god i don't know how long it is to be honest how long do you go before you go home

35:03you're gonna promise you don't judge me but i haven't seen my mum for about nine years really it's not

35:08they don't care i just don't think my family for me that's the most important thing last year was

35:15probably the toughest year of my entire life a year and a half ago i got a call my dad had been

35:23diagnosed with terminal cancer he only had one month to live um but each day that i had with him was so

35:36precious and i'm glad that i made it back to be with him through that time

35:43now i'm hopefully trying to get my spark back and yeah make my dad proud and get married to the right

35:50person i guess what's your um outtake on long distance relationships then

35:57i work with the right person i've done it i'm actually quite a believer in absence make the

36:03heart grow fonder like genuinely i'm not just saying that no no i do it's nice to have a little

36:06sight when you see someone i'm not just saying that yeah do you not agree or i've done long distance
