00:04and destroyed a family. Alyssa Platel tells Detective Delia St. James about her ex-husband

00:09Stephen. He would be furious if he found out about this meeting. They met in a chatroom when

00:14Alyssa was 15 and he was 21. It was 1995. Despite being 2,000 miles apart, they instantly felt a

00:21mutual connection. They could talk on the phone for hours. At first Alyssa didn't notice any red

00:26flags, Stephen had charmed her. Only now at the age of 37, does she realize that he was a skilled

00:31manipulator. Alyssa's parents were against the relationship and forbade her from talking to
