00:00she has arrived so why Morocco I've always wanted to go to Morocco because
00:09of the fashion inspiration and the colors the city has always been a magnet for the
00:14curious and the creative I'm excited to be immersed in the culture and to be
00:22surrounded by the colors sounds and sense of Marrakesh I've never ever oh my god
00:30ever seen anything like this in my life I'm Tracy Ellis Ross I took my first solo
00:38trip when I was either 24 or 25 and something clicked I'm responsible for my
00:44own happiness join me as I follow my heart go to beautiful places wear pretty
00:51clothes and enjoy my own company
01:09I spend a lot of time planning for my packing and here's why I'm anxious when I
01:14travel on my own I'm anxious when I do anything that is unknown so what I pack
01:19is one of the ways that I create an illusion of control but also in my life
01:28as an actor I wear somebody else's clothes portraying someone other than me so it's
01:35not my soul my heart clothing is a form of creative expression for me it started as
01:42an armor and so now it's a mix of the two it's how I wear my insides on my outside
01:49as a solo traveler I have three goals when packing number one be prepared a shift in weather an unexpected
02:05run-in with a sexy man the Moroccan desert even when you have enough you kind of still keep going
02:11number two be meticulously thoughtful of my needs and comforts compression socks medications and
02:19supplements snackies and number three pack my beautiful favorite clothes without bringing my entire closet that is not easy
02:32easy I do not know a lot about Morocco at all I did some research just to make sure that I was packing
02:38appropriately that I was going to be respectful and appropriate in my clothing I also love my clothes they are my
02:45treasures and my little babies and I keep them forever and I wear them forever so packing with care is important
02:52I'm all packed a little squirrely uh that's my car
03:04and now we fly but first we disinfect take off our shirt put on compression socks
03:20and fancy pajamas we and then we tend to our skin
03:27I always fly with a carry-on that has everything I need in the off chance that my luggage is lost
03:37I could live out of that bag for at least a week and still look fabulous
03:41I chose Morocco because I've never been one of the things that was important to me was to choose
03:49locations that felt like they were safe for solo travel safe for a black woman to travel
03:55and I'm making a show about the joy of solo travel so why not immerse myself somewhere I've never been
04:02she has arrived I'm so happy to finally be here you that was a lot of flying heading to the hotel but
04:14first let me tell you I had a very awkward moment with airport security in Paris they did a thorough
04:22check of my carry-on bag so usually they don't go through every single bag they went through every
04:32single bag and I have a lovely little bag that has things that are usually in your bedside table
04:42she opened the bag and I was like oh and then she went
04:52anyway you learn your lessons now we're in Marrakesh my driver's name is Rashid this is Rashid
05:03look how beautiful I just love the colors
05:07actually the Marrakesh we call it red city red city yeah you can see the walls in this race so beautiful
05:14just look at the bus yeah
05:28look how pretty the color of the bus is it's gorgeous
05:34and the people oh how I love people if this is an uncomfortable question don't answer but
05:43do Moroccan people consider themselves black like you know how in America where the black people
05:49it's the same in Morocco too yeah there is like two interesting yeah but it's very very long I think
05:57it's the world yeah yeah you're welcome to real answer we're here yeah oh wow welcome I'm clean on the
06:13doctor's room very nice to meet you I'm very excited mostly about the colors and I've been asking lots of
06:19questions of course and so I was told it's the king's hotel correct yeah his majesty's is the owner
06:25of this I really like the way that sounds yeah I think that's where I should be note to self ask for
06:30consent before touching people look how beautiful so when you see this green door it means that's the
06:41entrance of Riyadh you don't know what's behind that's the concept one bedroom two bedroom three
06:46bedroom like if you were walking inside the real Medina you don't know what's behind that will be
06:50your home for the next couple of days amazing hi how are you welcome to your privileged Riyadh thank you
06:58this is the bedroom and you have here the other room which is the guest so we're gonna this is Yasin the
07:05wonderful human being who cared for me during my stay we're gonna take the stairs to the tourists yeah
07:11yeah
07:13I labeled all my bags this is tea Tracy Marrakesh number two
07:41bag number two you saw it go in the bag now you'll see it go in the closet
07:48one of my favorite tricks laundry bag what
07:54some people would ask why do you unpack when you're only gonna be there a few days
08:01because the best way to wear and enjoy your pretty things for me is to put them away
08:10I forgot this goes with this outfit
08:16that's so much cuter
08:22I mean come on this deserves all the stuffing and yes I have to pack them up just as meticulously
08:45to go home you gotta have your pretty things
08:48and this is the point in the unpack where I go
08:53maybe I brought too much
08:55okay I think we got it good night Morocco
09:04I just love being in the water
09:22there's something about like the dunk
09:25am I too close now do you see my pores what do you see
09:32oh my hair's holding up nicely
09:38I have a lot of experience enjoying my own company even on a simple wander
09:45I have a lot of experience enjoying my own company even on a simple wander and just listen to the sounds and look at all the beauty around me
10:03this is me just sharing sharing what it means to learn yourself and then have the courage to be that person not just at home and not just in your life but elsewhere
10:16out in the world like here in Morocco
10:22one of the joys of solo travel is choosing to do what I want when I want
10:28like taking a quick pit stop in the spa to get myself tenderized
10:47treatment time
10:49that was incredible and like mush
10:51That was incredible.
10:54I'm like mush.
10:57God, does this smell good.
11:03Hi, guys in the bathroom.
11:04What are you doing?
11:09That cleans me up a little bit.
11:13After spending a quiet morning by myself,
11:16I am ready to see Marrakesh and hit the Medina.
11:21The Medina is in the heart of the city,
11:24where the souk or the markets have been since ancient times.
11:31I think this might be the color of my soul.
11:35This pink-red, like dusty rose that's everywhere.
11:41I have this color in my home.
11:51It's okay with the camera?
12:02It's okay. Thank you so much.
12:03It's so beautiful.
12:08Oh, my God.
12:12Hi, me.
12:13Okay.
12:15I love it on you.
12:16I mean, too.
12:27The city's blend of cultures is beautiful, fascinating,
12:31fast-paced, and energetic.
12:34It's beautiful.
12:35The architecture, the walls, the doors, everything is so beautiful.
12:45What's your name?
12:51It's Ibrahim.
12:52Ibrahim? Nice to meet you.
12:53This is stunning.
12:56I love old things.
12:58Different.
12:59This is the mirror.
13:00Mm-hmm.
13:01Mm-hmm.
13:02Hand of Fatima.
13:03Tell me what it means.
13:04This is meaning for good luck.
13:06You go away.
13:09Okay.
13:10You have so many beautiful things.
13:13Merci beaucoup.
13:13Oh, my goodness.
13:25What's your name?
13:26Monsef.
13:27Monsef.
13:28Monsef shares with me about his family and love of Moroccan design.
13:32Beautiful.
13:34When I open my eyes, I find myself in the market.
13:38We have so many things in the market now.
13:40You need just to buy the good stuff.
13:42So you like the good stuff?
13:43Yeah, always.
13:44Always.
13:45Me too.
13:46I like the good stuff.
13:48Speaking of good stuff.
13:51Ooh, how I love good fragrances.
13:54Earthy, floral, aromatic, delicious.
13:58Thank you so much.
13:59You're welcome.
13:59So nice to meet you.
14:00Nice to meet you.
14:05Oh, yeah.
14:06Okay.
14:13It's a dream.
14:14It's a dream.
14:15Look at that.
14:18The color.
14:20I don't know what it is about this color, but it really speaks to my heart.
14:25It can be used for both sides.
14:28Both sides?
14:29Yes.
14:29If there is a hot summer or party inside the house, you flip it over.
14:34And the more you walk on the summer side, the wool goes flutter and the dust come out.
14:39And that's vacuum cleaning.
14:43What's your name?
14:45Aziz.
14:46This is very helpful.
14:47I did not know this, Aziz.
14:49I love learning new things.
14:51And Aziz tells me that Berber is Morocco's largest indigenous group credited with the art of rug weaving.
14:58Thanks, Aziz.
14:59That's a kilim, flat way.
15:07That's a kilim?
15:08Yes.
15:09The Berber.
15:09Picniques.
15:10Uh-huh.
15:11Oh, oh, oh.
15:12Wool on wool.
15:13I made a mess.
15:14Stop.
15:14Ah!
15:16Sorry.
15:19Wow.
15:21Wow.
15:22You've got a lot of rugs.
15:24Yes.
15:25Look at this one.
15:26This one is beautiful.
15:30Gorgeous.
15:30Oh, my.
15:33Just like painting.
15:35Yeah.
15:36Can you take a picture of me sitting on the couch?
15:39Please.
15:41Oh, the superstar on the couch.
15:44The queen of the Arabia.
15:46Where's the smile?
15:48There you go.
15:49I was looking for the smile.
15:52Take a look at this one here.
15:53You can take your shoes off and walk on it.
15:57I mean.
15:58Oh, my God.
16:04Oh, I see what's happening.
16:07What?
16:08That is gorgeous.
16:10I bought this rug.
16:12Isn't she lovely?
16:13The crisscross pattern symbolizes protection against evil.
16:17Same as the hand of Fatima.
16:19I learned that from Ibrahim.
16:20Just learning things left and right.
16:22Okay.
16:23After all that shopping, back to the hotel to get ready for dinner with myself.
16:28Thank you for your help.
16:29God bless you.
16:36Okay.
16:37I'm going to dinner at Sabi Sabi, which I'm really excited about.
16:40According to Instagram, Sabi Sabi is, quote, Moroccan cuisine by empowered women.
16:47This sounds exciting.
16:48Also, I am very hungry.
16:50And I have a great look that I think will pop in the environment.
16:56This phase of my life, in so many ways, like emotionally and spiritually, like a transcendent time.
17:04Like I feel, like I feel like I was fighting to be in my skin when I was growing up.
17:12And I still have these really low dips of fighting with my own sense of unlovability and my own grief around not being a mother and being single.
17:30So much of what solo traveling is about, for me, not waiting for something in order to walk towards my life, in order to be in my life, in order to experience my life.
17:47I think that was why I took my first trip solo.
17:51And I know that in some ways, I mean, Oprah said it.
17:55She said, I'm the poster child for singledom.
17:57I don't want to be that.
17:58I want to be the poster child for being and inhabiting your own skin, for living in your own skin.
18:05That applies to everyone.
18:08Yes, I am a single Black woman who does not have children.
18:11Not having a relationship, a long, long relationships, not having children has allowed me to explore things of my own humanity.
18:22It has deposited me here at 52 in an extraordinary experience that is filled with joy, loneliness, grief, exuberance, delight, like literally all of it.
18:41And I feel available to it.
18:43And I am so late and I did not do my makeup.
18:48Oh, I don't know.
18:49Okay, that was way more important than makeup.
18:51Okay, I'm going to go get dressed.
18:52Okay, welcome.
19:12You're welcome.
19:13Yes, right by the food.
19:15I usually prefer a table in a corner when I'm by myself, but open kitchens are uncommon in Morocco.
19:21And this allows me to see everything that's happening.
19:24It's lovely to meet you.
19:26I'm so happy to be able to see you here.
19:27Thank you so much.
19:28Oh, no, I'm very happy.
19:29Yeah, it's very cool that it's all women.
19:32Yeah.
19:33Yeah.
19:33I love it.
19:34All women.
19:34I love it.
19:35Very nice to meet you.
19:36Thank you so much.
19:39Glasses.
19:40Hi.
19:40Hi.
19:41So what are you guys known for?
19:43Lamb tagine with apples and sweet and salt at the same time.
19:47Okay.
19:48And what's this one?
19:49Moroccan soup.
19:50Okay.
19:51The famous Moroccan soup.
19:52Does that pigeon as in the bird?
19:54Yes, the bird.
19:54Oh, I don't want that.
19:56Okay.
19:57So let's skip it.
19:58The lamb, I think I should get the lamb tagine.
20:00The lamb tagine.
20:01Okay, let's stick with the lamb tagine.
20:03You're welcome.
20:06There's nothing I like more than supporting women.
20:10Nothing.
20:11I mean, a lot of other things.
20:13But this is also really pretty in here.
20:15A lady alone, just looking at all the people.
20:33Hi, people.
20:37Look at how pretty that is.
20:38What is my mom tasting?
20:49Your lamb tagine is ready.
20:52Oh my gosh.
20:54Be careful, it's too hot.
20:55Okay.
20:58As you can see, lamb, queens, and apples.
21:01Queens and apples, okay.
21:02Yes.
21:03I'm going to let it cool down.
21:04Yeah.
21:09It's so hot.
21:10It's so hot.
21:15It's so awesome.
21:24It's so good.
21:25It's just hot, hot, hot, hot, hot.
21:26Yes, I've had that, but plenty of flavors.
21:28We have a tangia, you know, this is tagine, and tagine is...
21:33Oh, this is tagine?
21:34Yeah.
21:34Oh, I thought it was the spices.
21:36Yeah, no.
21:37Actually, the plate is tagine.
21:40Yes.
21:40Ah, I didn't know that.
21:42Called tagine.
21:43Good to know.
21:44Yes.
21:44Okay.
21:44I want just to introduce to you our restaurant that it's concept.
21:50Yeah.
21:51Sahbih, sahbih.
21:52Please.
21:53Meaning, sahbih means friends.
21:55And to put two words, similar words together, for me, it means friendship.
22:00Okay.
22:01Sahbih, sahbih.
22:02We are women, like sisters.
22:06Sisterhood.
22:07I love this.
22:08That's fantastic.
22:09Was that the concept from the beginning?
22:10Yes.
22:11At the time, it's still hot.
22:13Now it's not so hot.
22:15You're welcome.
22:15I can't eat anymore.
22:28Oh, you have to walk a little bit, walk.
22:31Look.
22:32It's me.
22:34It's that.
22:35The baby.
22:36Yes, it's your baby.
22:37It's a sahbih, sahbih.
22:39Sahbih, sahbih, sahbih, sahbih, baby.
22:41Do you want to see the sahbih, sahbih, baby?
22:43I saw this couple look at me a few times, it was probably the cameras, so I went over
22:54to say hi.
22:55Hi.
22:56Hello.
22:57How are you?
22:58Having a good trip?
22:59I know, we're just having a vacation in America.
23:00Yeah.
23:01We just looked at times.
23:02Here?
23:03Yeah, we did.
23:04That's exciting.
23:05Yeah, the old town.
23:06Medina.
23:07They've been coming since we met 15 years ago.
23:09They've been coming every year.
23:10That's so beautiful.
23:11We realize this.
23:12I love people.
23:13All right.
23:14It's me.
23:15How did you do this?
23:16I've never been before.
23:17I wanted to really share the experience of what it's like to be who you are but out in
23:24the world.
23:25Yeah.
23:26And be able to enjoy your own company.
23:27Right.
23:28And meet people.
23:29A great party of one.
23:30Exactly.
23:31A great party of one.
23:35Dinner was fun tonight.
23:38Tonight feels a little hard for some reason.
23:41I do feel lonely tonight.
23:42I do feel lonely tonight.
23:45Perhaps I'm missing the fantasy of what something was with someone.
23:54I wonder if loneliness and sadness are the same thing.
23:59They feel so similar in my body.
24:02Happiness and joy feel like two very different things.
24:06Distinct, very different feelings.
24:09Happiness is slicker, bouncier.
24:15Joy is wider, deeper.
24:19It's fun to talk that to a camera instead of writing it in a journal.
24:25Get to go shopping tomorrow.
24:26We know I love that.
24:29Good night for now.
24:30Did I tell you I slept well?
24:31I didn't fall asleep till 2.30, but I slept all the way till 10.
24:36What?
24:37Seven and a half hours.
24:38It's a good night's sleep.
24:39Black seats.
24:40This is where my meticulous packing pays off.
24:41B-Y-O-C-S.
24:42Bring your own chia seeds.
24:43Why, yes, I did.
24:44I may have a lot of baggage, but it serves a purpose.
24:47The girl's prepared.
24:48I also have four hard-boiled eggs.
24:54I have four hard-boiled eggs.
24:56I have four hard-boiled eggs.
24:59I did not fall asleep till 2.30, but I slept all the way till 10.
25:02What?
25:03Seven and a half hours.
25:04It's a good night's sleep.
25:05Black seats.
25:06This is where my meticulous packing pays off.
25:08B-Y-O-C-S.
25:09Bring your own chia seeds.
25:10Why, yes, I did.
25:11I may have a lot of baggage, but it serves a purpose.
25:13The girl's prepared.
25:14I also have four hard-boiled eggs.
25:16Protein, baby.
25:21These birds are aggressive.
25:25Excuse me.
25:26No, no.
25:33They're sneaky.
25:35They get closer, and then next thing you know,
25:38they'll be sitting here trying to have breakfast with me.
25:40I'm not asking for that.
25:41Today, I'm heading back to the Medina to continue my shopping.
25:50Doing the same thing twice is something you can do when you're solo.
25:54But first, a quick photo shoot to document today's look.
25:58I think she's cute.
26:01Oh, I missed it.
26:06After all of that.
26:13I'm going to a store called Straight Outta Da Medina.
26:16You heard me.
26:17Straight Outta Da Medina.
26:19I walked by it yesterday, and it looked so fun and cool.
26:22Oh, my God.
26:23It's fabulous in here.
26:24Welcome to Morocco.
26:25You're blending in already.
26:26What does this mean?
26:29Andy, what it means, I have nothing.
26:31Because I'm making stuff out of nothing, like more recycled.
26:34Yes.
26:42Oh, my God.
26:43So cute.
26:44Okay.
26:45Next pair.
26:46I'll be back.
26:48The other ones are too small.
26:50My big old booty won't go in.
26:54I had such a nice chat with Hassan.
26:56And I got some cute shorts.
26:58And a selfie, of course.
27:01I'm a little hungry after my day of shopping.
27:06So I'm going back to the Royal Monsoor for a little treat.
27:10I think I deserve a treat.
27:18I don't eat gluten.
27:21I would like to be very clear.
27:23Marrakesh so far is a beautiful place,
27:25but I would like to live inside here.
27:28Inside the cheesy bread fluff.
27:32That's where I want to live.
27:33This is so good.
27:36Wash it down with a little bit of this and you have a lovely holiday.
27:40The Riyadh has two bedrooms and I thought I had picked the right room, but yeah, the vibes aren't feeling right.
27:51So here's the scoop.
27:54I'm moving rooms.
27:55It's just across the hall.
27:57This is my energy.
27:58This is my energy.
27:59We're going to clean again.
28:01But we're moving the closet.
28:02So God bless me.
28:05If something's bothering you and you can change it, change it.
28:10Are you guys feeling better now that I'm in here?
28:12Because I feel better.
28:13So much better.
28:14What was I thinking?
28:17I wasn't thinking.
28:22It's already feels better.
28:23Like I literally, my intestinals feel better.
28:29Like my duodenum is like, oh my God, we're in the right room now.
28:36And my small intestine just went like this.
28:39I don't want to hear any lip about the fact that I've got three pairs of sneakers that look exactly almost the same and that there's two more in my bag.
28:49I don't want to hear it.
28:50So you just take your judgment and put it away.
28:55Because I'm judging myself enough.
28:58Shame is a shaman.
29:00Yeah.
29:01Do you know what shame stands for?
29:02Should have already mastered everything.
29:03And no, I have not mastered the art of one pair of sneakers or one pair of ballet plans.
29:11There's another pair there and I feel really pissed that I didn't bring the fourth.
29:19Stop it! Stop it! Stop it!
29:32Karen Grubbski, I love you too.
29:34Samira Dasser, you're the fox.
29:36Ms. Monica Paganucci!
29:41This is for me.
29:46Because you know, you're going to buy one for them, buy two for you.
29:51Oh my God, where are we going?
29:55Oh no, this is just my bag.
29:58I got it in Marrakesh.
29:59Oh, Marrakesh is in Morocco.
30:01Yeah, did you know that Berber is a tribe?
30:07If you don't stop it right now.
30:09If you don't stop it right now.
30:13Who's the cutest?
30:17Me?
30:18Who is the cutest?
30:20Me!
30:21Okay, we're in the final throes of closet changeover.
30:25Hello, dear closet.
30:27We've released your friend, your partner, your buddy.
30:30But you, you are now mine and I'm yours.
30:34We will have this time together.
30:36This closet's amazing.
30:38Please stay, please stay.
30:48Please stay.
31:08Hi, good evening, how are you?
31:10Are you waiting to say?
31:11I'm good.
31:12Yeah?
31:13Trying to decide if I want to have a drink or not.
31:15That's a good idea.
31:16It seems like a good idea.
31:19One of the many advantages of solo traveling is that you can change your plans last minute.
31:25I don't feel like going out anymore.
31:26Thank you so much.
31:28And no one gets upset.
31:32Hi, Yasin, it's Tracy from 27.
31:35Is it too late for me to order room service in my room?
31:38Um, well, I definitely want french fries.
31:45These are the things you go on vacation and think to yourself, I mean, what if you could do that at home?
31:49I mean, then you'd live like a king all year round.
31:52All right, me and this cute outfit are going to bed.
31:58Usually when I'm taking out my braids and I'm by myself, I'm going to watch something great on my iPad.
32:08But because you're here, I'm going to talk to you.
32:12This is not mine.
32:13Bye.
32:14Bye.
32:19Yeah.
32:23Oh.
32:25Oh.
32:27That was awful.
32:31I wonder what the people who clean the room think when they find like a garbage can filled with hair.
32:36Don't mind me, I'm just solo traveling eating french fries.
32:49Does anyone else match up fry size?
32:54This is what you call a great night.
32:58Just FYI, I will not drink that whole bottle.
33:01Because I know I've mentioned this, but I'm a menopausal lady.
33:04And I cannot process sugar anymore.
33:12God, that was too easy.
33:14I actually think you can call me a sommelier now.
33:21Cheers to the solos.
33:26When you're solo, you can chew with your mouth open.
33:29You can wipe your nose with your hand.
33:32You can wipe it out of the towel.
33:34No one knows.
33:36Nobody.
33:37Okay, all of you guys know, but you're not going to tell anybody.
33:39Bye-bye fry.
33:41That's disgusting.
33:43A french fry with hair is like, let's just bury that because nobody needs to see that.
33:50The vibe in this room is just so good.
33:53I mean, I've had a good time so far, but now this is going to be otherworldly.
33:56These are great fries.
33:59Great fries.
34:00Great fries.
34:01Great fries.
34:03Okay, Royal Monster.
34:05I always hear people say that they get nervous to, like, go to dinner alone or travel alone.
34:12Um, because they'll feel self-conscious.
34:17I really understand that.
34:21I remember the first time I went on that solo trip, I, and you know what's crazy?
34:26I still have a friend that I met on that trip, and he said his assumption was that I was a kept woman.
34:38First of all, that expression, the feminist in me has a lot of trouble with that expression.
34:44His assumption was I was a kept woman, meaning that someone else had paid for my trip, and either someone was meeting me or something like that.
34:56It goes back to this really important part of solo travel for me.
35:01I get to build my life for myself.
35:05I like to find the delight, the joy, the spontaneity.
35:08Knowing myself and what is actually joyful and what makes me feel joyful is not the same as other people.
35:15Going out, like, there's a lot of that stuff that's just not, it's not for me.
35:19Thank God I have wonderful friends and therapy and different communities around me that help support me in discovering my own sense of self.
35:28Because we don't live in a world that does that all the time.
35:33I mean, I'm not even going to name names, but...
35:43Kay.
35:49Solo travel offers me time to soak in the environments that I'm in.
36:13The call to prayer, the wind in the trees, ugh, my heart and soul are filled by moments like this.
36:31I feel truly immersed in the wonders of Marrakesh.
36:34Oh my God, it's lemon verbena.
36:43Oh my God.
36:50Oh, I could stay in this garden for a little while longer.
36:58But, tonight's my last night in Morocco.
37:01So I'm headed to the Agafé Desert to see the sunset and the landscape.
37:05What's my last look gonna be?
37:15I wore sneakers, sneakers with this look.
37:19That way my feet don't get dusty.
37:21Mr. Rissiq, nice to see you.
37:23No, no. I wanted to make sure I saw you again, Rissiq.
37:26Yeah.
37:28Very nice weather.
37:30Does it get cold at night?
37:32A little bit, yeah.
37:33Yeah?
37:34Because it's not far from the Atlas Mountains.
37:36Ah.
37:37Yeah, it's very close.
37:39I've got my jacket.
37:50I missed that.
37:51I tried.
37:52What we have done now?
37:53Yeah.
37:54It's hot.
37:55I don't know it.
37:56I haven't got any lotion on it.
37:57Thank you so much.
37:59I'm gone.
38:01Yes, I just need to get some answer to that.
38:02I'll be acá.
38:03You know, I have to go.
38:05Uh-huh.
38:06This is the beginning of the village, the Lallatakirkust village.
38:09Okay, say the name, it's the beginning of the?
38:12Of the Lallatakirkust village.
38:14Lallatakirkust village.
38:15Lallatakirkust.
38:16So fast.
38:17Slowly, say it slowly.
38:18Slowly.
38:19Lalla.
38:20Lalla.
38:21Takerkust.
38:22Takerkust.
38:23Takerkust.
38:24Takerkust.
38:25Village.
38:26Village.
38:27Ah, that wasn't great.
38:34Mr. C?
38:35Hi.
38:36You see the cape in the right?
38:37Oh, wow.
38:38Yeah, it's in our cape.
38:45Before the sun goes down, let me start taking some selfies.
38:48I gotta get this.
38:51This is magical.
38:53That wood even smells magical.
38:55The art of being solo is always searching for places to put your camera to take pictures of yourself.
39:10Oh, wow.
39:11I got a good one.
39:18Wonder Woman.
39:19Wah!
39:20What was fascinating to me was when we pulled in, I'll pop the photo up because I took it.
39:31I was like, wow, how interesting.
39:32This looks like a dude ranch in Wyoming.
39:36Also, it looks like a hoppa from, you know, a Jewish wedding, I can say as Tracy Silverstein.
39:37So I'm just fascinated by how cultures collide.
39:39It looks like we're in an African safari.
39:40It looks like we're in an African safari.
39:41It looks like we're in an African safari.
39:42And what was fascinating to me was when we pulled in.
39:43I'll pop a photo up because I took it.
39:44I was like, wow, how interesting.
39:46This looks like a dude ranch in Wyoming.
39:48Also, it looks like a hoppa from, you know, a Jewish wedding, I can say as Tracy Silverstein.
39:59So I'm just fascinated by how cultures collide.
40:05It looks like we're in an African safari camp or we're in a glamping camp.
40:12And it just reminds me how, as human beings, there's so much overlap and intersection.
40:20And I find it stunning.
40:23I find the intersection and the overlap beautiful and stunning.
40:28And I also find the ways that we are so uniquely different, beautiful and textured and layered and interesting and delicious.
40:38I will tell you that most solo travel trips, I don't get to talk to the camera.
40:44I'm not a person who talks to the Instagram camera.
40:47So, you know, it's kind of like I'm not alone.
40:50Thank you for joining me.
40:55That's a good olive.
40:56Ooh, that's a good olive.
40:57That's a great olive.
40:59Woo!
41:00That's probably one of the best olives I've ever eaten.
41:08I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to be able to travel in this way.
41:30The opportunity to lean into my preferences.
41:35The way I'm traveling is like I'm in bubble wrap.
41:42I am incredibly grateful for the breeze on my face, even right now.
41:55Is your ass hot?
41:57Okay.
41:58That's a crazy question, but he's by the fire.
42:03Okay.
42:04How did I honor myself on this trip?
42:07I think it actually has to do with the filming.
42:10I was able to be present enough to let go of what I know of my experience with solo travel and figure out how to share that through a camera.
42:29I think my favorite part of this trip were the colors, the light and the colors make my soul sing.
42:36The sky is a magic color of blue.
42:40The culture is layered and filled with community.
42:43Of all the people I met, Ibrahim, Aziz and Mustafa stood out for me.
42:48I asked so many questions.
42:50I bought beautiful things.
42:52I was secretly and absolutely blown away by the nut cart.
42:59The craftsmanship and the artistry that even a cart of nuts shows is crazy.
43:05I've literally, in my life, never seen a landscape like this.
43:10I've seen it on the screensavers on my smart TV.
43:15I've seen it in photographs or in movies, in Mad Max.
43:19I've just, I've truly never seen a landscape like this in my life.
43:23Stunning.
43:25Yeah.
43:26Here's what I want to say.
43:28Thank you, Morocco.
43:29I will be back.
43:30This was gorgeous.
43:40The dogs sound amazing.
43:56My ears have got crazy.
43:58I believe it was gardening.
43:59I probably can recommend no moreピrocar technically.
44:00I could, I tell you it was, your assistant is in the Mad Max.
44:01The dog would be the pretext.
44:03So what break?
44:04Because it was nice.
44:06I don't want you to understand the favorite book story.
44:06Because we, I don't want you to understand what these stories are.
44:08Yeah, that's awesome!
44:10The dogs exist and people here.
44:13That's what life is.
44:14And we can attract you.
44:15The dogs and other ghosts.
44:17The dogs come here.
44:20Right, those daughters.
44:20The dogs know what'sveties.
44:21The dogs you think are so 150 cmhack.
44:22đượcs the dogs call the dogs meseta amps.
44:23They do at home.
44:24They seem like, you're time to do.
