00:15raising concerns in Seoul as next week's tariff deadline approaches.
00:21While Washington did not disclose details,
00:24reports suggest Besant may join President Donald Trump's trip to Scotland from July 25-29.
00:30South Korea said the supposed 2-plus-2 meeting between Besant,
00:34South Korean Finance Minister Koo Yun-chul and senior trade officials
00:38will be rescheduled as soon as possible.
00:41Koo was set to depart for Washington today to secure an exemption from the 25% tariffs
00:46announced earlier this month by the Trump administration.
00:50Despite the delay, South Korea's industry ministry confirmed that trade minister
00:54Johan Koo and industry minister Kim Jong-kwan are already in Washington
00:58and will continue talks with their U.S. counterparts.
