00:02I'm proud of the fact that the Israel defense...

00:04Well, hang on, hang on.

00:05The IDF literally for three months starved the population in a blockade.

00:11There was no secret about that.

00:12Everybody saw it for what it was.

00:14So I'm afraid you're just not right about that.

00:17They only recently ended that blockade.

00:19So they are starving the population, which is, by the way, a war crime if you do that.

00:25Peter, do you know how many meals the Gaza humanitarian system is proud of?

00:28It's amazing.

00:29Look, look, Shabos, here's the thing.

00:31Unfortunately, you sound like the people who have started to defend the indefensible

00:36when it comes to what Israel's government is doing.

00:39And I'll tell you why.

00:40After all these attacks on Palestinians as they're queuing up for food,

00:45the IDF says basically the same thing.

00:48Either they were firing warning shots,

00:50or they felt they were being threatened by some people,

00:54or they've launched an inquiry or an investigation.

00:57And we never get the results of any of this.

01:00But in the meantime, a thousand people who are desperately hungry and are queuing for food,

01:06even though you say they've got plenty of food,

01:09there are thousands stampeding for the small amounts of food that they can get their hands on,

01:14even though you say they're not hungry because you've overfed them, right?

01:18That all these people are just dropping dead.

01:21And it's got nothing to do with the fact the IDF are firing towards them.

01:26When everybody knows, it does.

01:28And this is the problem when you defend the indefensible.

01:30It would have so much more credibility if the IDF just once,

01:34just once said, you know what?

01:37We did.

01:38We shot at them.

01:39And like you said, you're very proud of everything they're doing.

01:43And if they were to proudly own this and explain why they need to shoot starving people

01:48who are stampeding for fragments of food,

01:52maybe we'd all take a lot more seriously the other claims they make.

01:55And the other point I'd make, Shabbos,

01:57is when you now just tell me I'm talking nonsense,

01:59and they're all overfed, and no one's getting killed,

02:02and it's all on Hamas.

02:04To this day, the Israeli government refuses to let any international media into Gaza.

02:11And it's not because of the quaint notion that they're worried about the safety of journalists,

02:16because they've killed over 200 Palestinian journalists.

02:19They don't care about the health and safety of journalists.

02:22And it's not their business to decide about the safety requirements of journalists.

02:26It's the business of the organizations that employ them.

02:29But until Israel's government allows foreign media into Gaza

02:35to verify its endless, in my opinion, utterly disingenuous statements,

02:40then no one should believe a word they're now saying.

02:43Because why should we?

02:45Why should we?

02:45Why should we believe what anything that the Israeli government is saying

02:49about any of this when they don't want the world's media to see it?

02:53After October the 7th, what was the first thing they did?

02:55They brought the world's media into the kibbutzes

02:58to see the full horror of what Hamas did, to verify the truth.

03:02But they won't apply that same thinking to verifying the truth in Gaza.

03:07And as a journalist, I know why they don't want to do that.

03:10They don't want people to see the truth.

03:13They're hiding the truth.

03:14That enables them to lie with impunity

03:16and to discount any responsibility for anything they're doing.

03:20And if I sound angry about this, it's because I'm bloody angry about it.

03:24Because it's so obvious that they don't want people to see the truth.

03:28And you can sit here and you can say, till you're blue in the teeth,

03:32there's nothing going on that's wrong.

03:34There's nothing to see here.

03:36It's all on Hamas.

03:38No one's starving anyone.

03:39No one's shooting anyone in food aids.

03:42No one's doing anything wrong.

03:43This is the most moral army in the world.

03:45Well, OK, so let the journalists in and we can see for ourselves just how true that all is.
