00:00You know how whenever you make ice cubes, they never fit into bottles?
00:03Well, instead of using an ice cube tray, use an ice bar tray like this and your problem solved.
00:08Gadgets don't have to be expensive to change your life.
00:11So, here are my top 13 absolute favourite cheap ones.
00:14Number 13, one of my favourite drinks ever, is a frothy Starbucks mocha.
00:18And in my search to find a convenient way of recreating it,
00:21I came across the $5 handheld milk proper.
00:24And it's everything I wanted it to be.
00:26You warm up your milk, you add whatever you want to add,
00:28and then just by holding this beneath the surface and turning it on, it mixes everything.
00:32And it froths it so much that it practically doubles the volume of liquid.
00:35Plus, it comes with a stand to hold it off the counter.
00:38And then to clean it, you just hold it underwater for two seconds, turn it on, and done.
00:46Now, you might know that I'm partway through a fitness transformation right now.
00:50And one of the main ways I'm planning on achieving that is by running a lot.
00:53And so these $6 elastic laces, they've been an absolute game changer for me.
00:57You just thread them in instead of your normal laces once.
01:00And then from that point, you never have to tie your laces ever again.
01:03You just slip your shoes on and off and tighten using this toggle if needed.
01:07It takes a third of the time.
01:08They don't come undone.
01:09There's never a trip hazard.
01:10You can adjust tension on the fly.
01:12Plus, I think they just look cleaner too.
01:15For all of you who keep your soap on the sink surface like this,
01:18I think you'd be surprised how much difference a $2 soap bar drainer can make.
01:23Over the last few days, I've been using one bar of soap sitting on my counter,
01:25and one sitting in this drainer.
01:27I've used them both an equal amount.
01:29But because the drainer gets rid of the excess water,
01:31that bar is much less squidgy and also looks like it's going to last much longer.
01:36And now we're on the fascinating subject of soap.
01:39This $10 soap dispenser that I've only had for like a week or so
01:42has already become a central part of my life.
01:45So you stick it onto your bathroom wall,
01:46you fill it with a mixture of water and whatever soap or shower gel you want to use,
01:50and you're done.
01:51You don't have to touch it again for weeks.
01:55You just hold your hand under it,
01:56and it's not just going to drop liquid into it,
02:00it's actually going to turn it into a foam,
02:02which lets you reach more dirt with less soap.
02:04You're either going to love or hate this sound.
02:07And like everything that I'm trying to show you in this video,
02:09it doesn't feel like a gimmick.
02:11The battery seems to be going strong,
02:13it charges via USB-C,
02:14it even lets you pick how bubbly you want it.
02:17Number nine, the 50-cent phone holder is surprisingly one of the cleanest ways to store your phone.
02:23It gives you a platform to rest it on,
02:25and then the neck of the holder is just a space to be able to wrap your cable around.
02:28Before, after.
02:30Simple.
02:31I've started doing a lot of traveling recently for various different collab videos,
02:35and one of the funniest hurdles that I keep finding myself bumping into
02:38is baggage limits.
02:40I often overpack in the first place,
02:42meaning that I go over the weight limit and I have to pay extra at the airport.
02:45But then even when I don't, if I buy anything significant while I'm away,
02:49then I'll definitely go over the limits on the way back.
02:51And that is where the digital luggage scale comes in.
02:54You know these are some good value gadgets when they literally come presented in a plastic bag.
02:58So, you just wrap this strap around your luggage's handle,
03:01hook it back in place,
03:03and then lift.
03:05And it'll tell me this thing is about 13 kilos.
03:08But then this is the cool bit.
03:10Because this thing is so tiny,
03:11I can throw it in with my luggage to be able to weigh everything again
03:14before I leave on the way back.
03:16If you are enjoying this video,
03:17then a sub to the channel would be...
03:21Hefty.
03:23Number seven.
03:23I've never seen a more versatile cable than this right here.
03:27So, you buy as many or as few of these ends as you want,
03:29and you fit them into your various devices.
03:31They could have a lightning port,
03:32they could have a USB-C port,
03:33they could have a micro USB port.
03:35There's ends for all of them.
03:36And once you've done that,
03:37this one cable is going to be able to charge them all.
03:39But that's not the...
03:41The cool bit.
03:43It's a 540 degree rotating head,
03:45which means that you can connect it at whatever angle you want to.
03:48It's magnetic,
03:49which makes the already trivial task of plugging in a cable even easier.
03:52And it's also one of the only magnetic cables that I've used
03:54that also supports up to 60 watts of power.
03:57So, it can also work on some laptops.
04:00Right, so for number six,
04:01you know how vacuum cleaners are these big, bulky tools
04:04that have absolutely no subtlety whatsoever?
04:06How they'll either not be able to fit into small places,
04:09or if they do,
04:10how they'll half the time suck up things that you actually wanted to keep.
04:13Well, the $2 Dust Daddy,
04:16yes, that is the real name,
04:17goes a long way to changing that.
04:19It adds these straws onto the end of your hose,
04:22which are not just there for extra reach,
04:24but also flexible,
04:25which allows you to bend around what you're trying to clean.
04:28The corners in your walls,
04:29the bottom layer of your mechanical keyboard,
04:31it can even do the inside of your drawers.
04:33And you know that so long as the contents aren't bigger
04:35than the entrances to these tiny straws,
04:38it won't pick them up.
04:39This next one pains me a little.
04:41As someone who really values audio quality,
04:43this is not an amazing sounding Bluetooth speaker.
04:46But here's the thing, right?
04:47I first found it on Amazon for $20.
04:49And for that, it's loud, it's waterproof,
04:51it's got eight hours of battery life,
04:52it's a well-liked product.
04:54So I traced it back.
04:55I managed to find the original product
04:57that the Amazon listing was based on for $5.
05:00And for that, it actually makes a lot of sense.
05:02It's just a cheap way to boost your phone's volume
05:04in the bathroom.
05:05I've tried it with music and you can still enjoy songs.
05:09And I've tried it on Netflix
05:10and you can still clearly hear what people are saying.
05:13And the other benefit is that you can use this
05:14to play, pause, skip your songs
05:16without needing to get out of the shower
05:18to go grab your phone.
05:19Believe it or not, this thing right here
05:20is the most handy product I use
05:22throughout my entire university life.
05:25This is Dishmatic.
05:26And I get it.
05:26Putting a washing up sponge on the end of a stick,
05:29it feels like caveman logic.
05:30But the result is truly wonderful.
05:33Because this stick,
05:34it's not just a handle that allows you to get a better angle
05:37and keep your hands away from the muck.
05:39It's also a reservoir to store your washing up liquid
05:41and release it bit by bit into that sponge.
05:44It's a very 21st century way of cleaning,
05:46but I've got nothing against that.
05:49Right.
05:51Let's talk about suction cups.
05:53Because just $2 gets you a pack of four suction hooks.
05:57And I know they look simple,
05:58but they're actually hiding quite a powerful mechanism.
06:01Flicking the hook up unlocks the suction cup.
06:03So you do that, line it against a wall
06:05and then fling it back down.
06:06Which creates a vacuum against the wall,
06:08making it very, very firm.
06:10Anything that you can fit on this hook,
06:12it will hold.
06:13This thing is so strong
06:14that I'm almost convinced
06:16if I get it on my forehead.
06:18All right, towel me.
06:20Oh.
06:22Okay, never mind.
06:23But in all seriousness,
06:25this hook has become an absolute staple of my life.
06:27Every time I use the shower,
06:28this is where I hang my stuff now.
06:30Number two is the tiniest gadget of them all.
06:32This is the InCharge Classic.
06:34I know it might look like one of those little USB sticks,
06:36but it's actually a charging cable.
06:38It unfolds to the magnificent length of four centimetres,
06:43which is still plenty.
06:45And it just means that so long as you can find yourself
06:46a standard size USB plug,
06:48or a laptop for that matter,
06:49you will always be able to top up your phone.
06:51All right, I've saved the best till last.
06:54This is the Fawcett Glass Cleaner.
06:56It requires a little bit more setup than some of the others.
06:58You have actually got to go into your sink
06:59and swap a couple of parts,
07:01but if you can do that,
07:02this is how fast I can wash my glasses.
07:04You ready?
07:04Three, two, one.
07:11It's basically done.
07:13So you might know that just a couple of weeks ago,
07:15I went to go and see Mr. Beast.
07:17And while I was with him,
07:18he strongly recommended that I watch the show
07:20called Death Note.
07:21It's free on Netflix, he said.
07:23So I searched, and I searched, and I searched.
07:25I was convinced that I was typing it wrong
07:27until I realized it's only available
07:29on the US version of Netflix.
07:31So by booting up Surfshark VPN,
07:33I was able to switch my location from the UK to the US
07:36and all of a sudden access the entire library
07:39of US Netflix shows, including Death Note,
07:41which I'm now 30 episodes into.
07:44Surfshark costs literally $2.49 a month,
07:46which split between the seven people I share it with
07:48is just 36 cents.
07:50And if you hit the link in the description
07:52and use code BOSS,
07:53you'll get it not just for that $2.49 a month price,
07:55but also three extra months for free on top of that.
07:58Fully refundable if you don't like it.
