00:00He has ended wars, wars like India and Pakistan.
00:03We've been very successful in settling wars.
00:05You have India, Pakistan.
00:07Stopped a lot of wars.
00:08You had India, Pakistan.
00:10That was going, and in fact, planes were being shot out of the air.
00:14We ended, Serbia was going to go at it.
00:17But maybe the most important of all, India and Pakistan.
00:22U.S. leadership deliver de-escalations between India and Pakistan.
00:27Planes downed, a nuclear threat, and one phone call that stopped it all.
00:34That's how U.S. President Donald Trump is describing the recent India-Pakistan flare-up.
00:41In a speech at the White House, Trump claimed that he personally prevented a nuclear war between the two countries.
00:48And has now repeated that statement 25 times in just 73 days.
00:54Today, Japan and the Philippines, we just did the Philippines today also, a good deal.
00:59We have stopped wars between India and Pakistan, the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Rwanda.
01:06That was going on for 30 years.
01:07And by the way, India and Pakistan was probably going to end up in a nuclear war if they kept, you know, they had, they shut down five planes in the last attack.
01:15And it was back and forth, back and forth, back and forth.
01:18And I called them and I said, listen, no more trade.
01:21If you do this, you're not going to be good.
01:23But they have both, they're both powerful nuclear nations.
01:26And that would have happened.
01:27And who knows where that would have ended up.
01:30And I stopped it.
01:32Trump claimed that both India and Pakistan were on the edge of escalation.
01:36But US pressure, particularly on trade, made both sides back down.
01:42The context?
01:44In May 2025, following the Pahlgaam terror attack that killed 26 civilians, India launched Operation Sindur, targeting militant infrastructure in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
01:55Operation Sindur, 22 April, launched the armed forces of the armed forces and their families.
02:09In this operation, nine terrorist camps targeted and completely destroyed it.
02:17Over four days, intense missile and drone exchange were reported.
02:21India downed multiple Pakistani military aircraft.
02:26India's official position, however, is clear.
02:30The de-escalation was the result of direct talks between the Directors General of Military Operations of both countries, without third-party involvement.
02:40New Delhi has repeatedly stated that it does not accept foreign mediation on the Kashmir issue.
02:46The Director General of Military Operations of Pakistan called the Director General of Military Operations of India at 15.35 hours earlier this afternoon.
03:00It was agreed between them that both sides would stop all firing and military action on land and in the air and sea.
03:12Back in India, the political conversation is heating up.
03:17Opposition leaders like Congressist Jairam Ramesh have questioned the government's silence, suggesting that it allows others to shape the narrative.
03:27He remarked on X that Trump has reached the silver jubilee of his claims, while the Prime Minister remains focused on international engagements.
03:37How can the Prime Minister give a statement?
04:07Trump has also claimed to have stopped conflict in Iran, Kosovo and the DRC.
04:19But this latest one between two nuclear neighbours is perhaps the boldest yet.
04:26India has consistently handled the conflict with Pakistan through direct military dialogue and firm national resolve, without any outside mediation.
04:35So, with India standing strong and independent, is Donald Trump merely spinning a political narrative to claim credit or trying to rewrite history for his own agenda?
