When a grandfather couldn’t attend his grandson's graduation, his family found the perfect solution by bringing it to him.
In a viral video, Derek Camarena, 18, arrives at his grandfather’s doorstep in full cap and gown and a certificate in hand.
As Eddie Camarena, 87, and Derek meet inside, the pair embrace emotionally.
Residing in Orange County, California, USA, Maritza Camarena posted the heartwarming footage to social media where it has since taken the internet by storm.
On the story, she said: “It was grandpa’s 2025 bucket list to attend Derek’s graduation.
“He talked about it often, and we knew how much it meant to him.
“But cancer remission had other plans, so we brought the graduation to him.
“A reminder that the most meaningful moments aren't always planned…they’re the ones we make happen, no matter what.”
