00:00Germany and the United States have agreed to deliver five Patriot air defense systems to Ukraine as Russia's intensified aerial assault continues.
00:10Several displacement sites, including Indir al-Balakh, were attacked as Israel launches ground operations in central Gaza a day after evacuation notices.
00:20Iran, China and Russia will discuss Tehran's nuclear activities and sanctions on Tuesday ahead of talks set for Friday with E3 Nations.
00:30Germany and the United States have agreed to deliver five Patriot air defense systems to Ukraine.
00:37The announcement comes as Russia ramps up its campaign of long-range strikes on Ukraine, including using ballistic missiles which only Patriot systems can shoot down.
00:47Ukraine's former prime minister and newly appointed defense minister, Denis Shmihal, says the systems will significantly bolster his country's aerial defenses.
00:55Air defense, especially Patriot and PAK-3 missiles, along with ammunition, are crucially important to us.
01:04Russian terror is continuing, so we need to strengthen our air defense.
01:08I request the U.S. to make these weapons available for purchase and our European partners to extend all the needed financing for their procurement.
01:19Germany's defense minister, Boris Pistorius, issued some words of warning to Russia's president, Vladimir Putin.
01:24This sends a clear message to Putin.
01:29Dragging out the war will come at an ever higher cost to him.
01:33Ukraine will continue to successfully defy Putin's war machine and will weaken it a little more every day.
01:40It is our duty, colleagues, and our obligation to actively support our Ukrainian friends in this regard.
01:48The news was announced by defense ministers of the Rammstein Group, who met virtually via video link for the 29th Ukraine Defense Contact Group session.
01:57The overall sentiment coming out of the meeting was that Western support for Ukraine will not wane and that Russia will be defeated.
02:08The Israeli military has launched a ground operation on Monday in the central Gaza city of Deir el-Balah.
02:14Multiple displacement sites and tent camps in the city were targeted by Israeli airstrikes.
02:20It comes just one day after Israel issued evacuation notices in the area, warning residents that intense operations are imminent.
02:28Locals were seen transporting their belongings as they left Deir el-Balah and headed to Al-Mawasi,
02:33an Israeli-designated safe haven which was also attacked on Monday.
02:37Deir el-Balah is one of the last remaining areas in this trip to not suffer significant damage.
02:42The city hosts hundreds of thousands of displaced Palestinians and is one of Gaza's main operational hubs for aid distribution.
02:50The ground operation is the first to take place in the city since Israel launched its offensive on Gaza in October 2023.
02:58The IDF has previously stated that they've stayed away from Deir el-Balah because they suspect hostages may be held there.
03:04The IDF said on Sunday that their ground operations, which will be areally supported,
03:09will cut access between the city and the south of the enclave.
03:12A trilateral meeting will take place on Tuesday between Iran, China and Russia to discuss Tehran's nuclear program
03:26and the risk of sanctions being re-imposed, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Bagai said on Monday.
03:34The meeting comes ahead of renewed nuclear talks with France, Germany and the UK scheduled for this Friday in Istanbul.
03:40Yes, yes.
03:41The тай
04:09The three European powers, along with China and Russia, are the remaining parties to a
04:172015 nuclear deal that lifted sanctions on Iran in return for restrictions on its nuclear program.
04:24European countries have threatened to trigger the deal's snapback mechanism,
04:27which would allow sanctions to be re-imposed in the case of non-compliance by Tehran.
04:33The guy said Iran is, quote,
04:34continuously coordinating with Beijing and Moscow on how to prevent the mechanism.
04:39He also noted that there is no plan for talks with the U.S.,
04:43which ended after a 12-day conflict waged by Israel and the U.S. against Iran last month.
04:52The Syrian government started evacuating Bedouin families trapped inside the southern city of Sueda.
04:59Buses were sent in to lift some 1,500 Bedouins from the Druze-majority city.
05:04Hundreds of people were killed in over a week of clashes there between Druze militias and Bedouin fighters.
05:09A U.S.-brokered ceasefire on Wednesday did not appear to hold,
05:13as violence flared again just hours after U.S. Ambassador to Turkey Tom Barak announced it.
05:18But the tide may now be shifting as Bedouin clans announced they're withdrawing their fighters from the region.
05:24Barak, who also serves as special envoy for Syria, welcomed the announcement and called for an end to the fighting.
05:31He also urged Syria's new government, led by interim president Ahmad al-Shara, to take accountability.
05:36You have existing minorities and tribes that have lived most of their children's lives in chaos in another government.
05:46So when things happen, they resort to their tribe.
05:49It's individual, family, tribe, and then nation last.
05:53So what's happened is horrible.
05:58It's unthinkable.
06:01And the hope is that out of this, a consolidation of these issues occurs quicker.
06:11But you have a Syrian government in effect.
06:14They need to be held accountable.
06:15They also need to be given the responsibility that they're there to do.
06:20The clashes between the Bedouins and the Druze threatens to unravel Syria's already fragile position after almost 15 years of civil war.
06:29The UN says more than 120,000 people were displaced as a result of the violence.
06:34Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said that his country is planning to file international lawsuits against Russia.
06:46They are doing so with regards to the Azerbaijan Airlines flight that crashed in December last year.
06:52The plane was flying from Baku to Grozny when it crashed near the Kazakh city of Akhtau, killing 38 people.
06:58An initial report revealed that a Russian missile caused the plane to crash.
07:04Speaking to local media, Aliyev said that despite it being, quote,
07:08clear as day that Russia shot down the plane, whether they intended to or not,
07:13Azerbaijan did not receive a meaningful response from Moscow.
07:16We didn't get any answer from Russian officials about that, though it's already seven months have passed.
07:28For us, everything is clear.
07:31We know what happened and we can prove it.
07:35And we know that Russian officials know what happened.
07:39And it's a question why they do not just do what any neighbor would have done.
07:50Our requests or demands are absolutely natural.
07:54The president added that Azerbaijan's demands are a guilty plea from Russia,
07:59prosecution of those responsible, as well as financial compensation.
08:07Where can you go to escape the heat?
08:09Climate refuges are becoming more of a solution.
08:13With a wave of intense heat gripping European cities,
08:16climate refuges are places that can offer the population some coolness and relief.
08:22Public parks and gardens, libraries, museums and schools are among places that are open during the day
08:28to receive people who are vulnerable to extreme temperatures.
08:32The heat effect of the heat is intensified in these heat waves.
08:36And it happens normally in cities.
08:38This is because we have cities that are densely constructed.
08:43The city of Barcelona served as a model for the rest of Europe.
09:04Not because it was a pioneer, but what really makes the Catalan City a great example is the clear criteria for defining what a refuge is, according to this researcher.
09:14Not any space that is automatically a climate refuges.
09:20And I think it's important that these spaces really, to respond to the needs of these populations that are most vulnerable to extreme temperatures,
09:31But they need to have these minimum criteria, which, as I said, they need to have a minimum space where people can sit and drink water, can use the bathroom.
09:44In Lisbon, where thermal discomfort in homes is a reality, the City Council has not yet promoted the use of a cooling network, but data scientist Manuel Banza has created an interactive map where you can consult spaces like fountain lakes and municipal swimming pools.
10:02There's a great amplitude térmica in the houses and Lisbon is one of the worst cities in Europe in terms of energy efficiency.
10:10What means that, both in the winter and in the winter as people have difficulty to aquecer their own house or arrefecer their own house.
10:17And, therefore, there is a responsibility municipal and public to transform the public space in a space that is an extension of our houses.
10:26Além of the discomfort, the heat also occurs associated with the increase of mortality.
10:31Portugal registrou 284 mortes in excess between June 28 and June 3, during the alerta of time quente.

11:05It said the aircraft experienced a technical malfunction, but that a high-level committee within the Air Force would conduct an investigation to determine the cause.
11:14It is the deadliest airplane crash in the Bangladeshi capital in recent memory.
11:20A desperate scene unfolded as the crash occurred.
11:25Relatives panicked at the scene as rescuers, using tricycle rickshaws or whatever was available, transported the injured to local hospitals.
11:34Bangladesh's interim leader pledged an investigation into the crash, expressing his deep sorrow over the accident.
11:41The crime is to have a violent accident in the Tuskele.
11:47You have to beaku outside the ship.
11:48They have to be in peace.
11:49This is a very good thing for all this.
11:50They are with you.
11:51They have to be able to get on the side of the ship.
11:54After the experiment, the air forces took off.
11:55They have to be able to get on the the same ship.
11:57The air forces is to be able to get on the ferry.
