Israel has launched a full-scale ground offensive into Deir al-Balah, central Gaza, marking its first incursion into the area since the war began 21 months ago. At least eight people have been killed, including a family of four in nearby Khan Younis, with homes and mosques hit. The assault comes amid collapsed ceasefire talks and growing humanitarian concerns. UN operations, previously moved to Deir al-Balah, are now at risk. Israeli tanks are reportedly just 400 metres from aid offices as shelling continues.
