00:00You're your number one tight end going into the season this year.

00:02Well-deserved, by the way, is Brock Bowers of the Las Vegas Raiders,

00:06who probably is worthy of this note.

00:09But look what has happened.

00:10The drop-offs after that, George.

00:12Trey McBride.

00:13I mean, sometimes no tight end going until the fourth round of fantasy.

00:16George Kittle, Sam Laporta, Hawkinson, Travis Kelsey.

00:19Dare I say, only a half a dozen tight ends may be taken in the top 100 picks.

00:26I don't see a significant shift, George.

00:28Maybe this is just like one of those years last year where things did not work out for those players.

00:33But, boy, a lot of folks in the industry predicting a huge year for tight ends last year.

00:38That definitely was not the case.

00:41Yeah, tight end is an interesting position.

00:44Do you believe, even when it was, I guess, it's heyday a couple of years ago,

00:48did you believe in taking a tight end early, take Travis Kelsey in the first round?

00:52Because it gives you such a big advantage over everybody else in fantasy.

00:56I'm not saying I never did.

00:57I'm sure I did take Kelsey.

00:58I played too many leagues where, in the first round, but generally, I wait.

01:02Maybe that's the wrong thing to do here, but I can't take a tight end in round one.

01:06I'm unlikely to take one in round two.

01:08I think the earliest I would think is round three, and probably not the top of round three, you know.

01:12But if Bowers are staring at me there in the end of round three, I can certainly think about it,

01:16because he is the equivalent of a wide receiver one.

01:18You and I already talked about Jacoby Myers, who is their wide receiver one, but he's not a true NFL wide receiver one.

01:24That's Bowers.

01:25The hour is going to be filtered through him.

01:27That's not going to change on the Pete Carroll and Geno Smith.

01:29It's still going to be Brock Bowers there.

01:31So I don't mind that, but generally, you're going to see me waiting in a lot of leagues.

01:35All right, love Trey McBride, the big knock on him last year, no touchdowns, right?

01:40Took him forever to get a touchdown here.

01:42And I believe, by the way, I don't know if my memory served me right here,

01:45but I believe his first touchdown might have been the one that bounced off someone's head.

01:48It was even more of a luck touchdown, so one of those.

01:51George Kittle just never ages.

01:53I have no problem with him in round four, round five.

01:55After that is why I'm waiting.

01:57If I don't end up in one of the top three, I'm waiting.

02:00You know, I'll wait for Laporta, Hawk, Kelsey, Njoku, Mark Andrews, who's still there.

02:06Evan Ingram, who I think is going to have a bounce-back year with Denver being the joker there.

02:11And if I don't get one of those guys, by the way, then it's just good luck at your tight end.

02:14You know, I might even draft two if I don't get one of the top nine and just play the game each week, okay?

02:20This week it's Kincaid.

02:21This week's Ferguson.

02:22Maybe it's one of the rookies, Warren or Loveland there.

02:25You're going to play that game here if you don't get one of your top eight, top nine guys.
