With just days to go before the first round of recall votes on July 26, partisan tensions reach a new high as pro- and anti-recall campaigners seize the final weekend to drum up support.

00:22Pro-RICO groups have also gone on social media, calling on locally registered voters living in

00:26other parts of the country to come home to vote yes, while the KMT has been touring major cities

00:32to urge people to vote no. Meanwhile, a number of controversies around the legality of campaign

00:38activities are fueling partisan tension. In Taoyuan in northern Taiwan, photos are circulating

00:43online of campaign flyers being sent along with election notices, which would be a legal

00:49violation. The local election commission says it's looking into the matter, but the ruling

00:53Democratic Progressive Party has been quick to accuse the KMT of misconduct.

00:58According to the decision-making law, we can't假代 the ballot. If it's假, we may

01:04be prosecuted in three years. This is a new rule. But until now, this is a big deal.
