00:40The Cast Were Forced To Act To Alan Tudyk's Groin
00:43Rogue One A Star Wars Story
00:45Arguably the most unanticipated source of Rogue One joy came in the form of Alan Tudyk's
00:50wisecracking towering Imperial KX series security droid by the name of K2SO.
00:56The reality behind what actually went into bringing this modified banter robot into being
01:00though is perhaps even funnier than the machine himself.
01:04In order to play the droid on set during his various moments appearing alongside pal Cassian
01:08Andor and the rest of the Rogue One crew, Tudyk needed to be placed on stilts whilst donning
01:13a rather tight CGI friendly costume.
01:16So this ultimately meant that the likes of Diego Luna and co were always forced to act with
01:20their co-star at a very specific height.
01:23And as Luna would explain a few years back when discussing Tudyk's return as K2SO in
01:28Andor, all involved were likely once again going to be made to act directly at the actor's
01:32balls throughout that shoot too.
01:35So next time you take in this epic double act, know that Luna regularly found himself
01:39in what he classed as a quite intimidating situation whenever K2SO was sharing the frame
01:44with him.

01:46Kanari was only taught to the children, Andor
01:49Sticking with one of the greatest things to happen to the Star Wars galaxy in modern
01:52times, Disney Plus' Andor series also brought with it a new unique language in the form of
01:58Kanari.
01:59And as revealed by Marva andor legend herself Fiona Shaw, it turns out that none of the adults
02:04seen interacting with the children found on Kanari had a clue what the youngsters were
02:08talking about in the language, which was actually a fusion of Spanish, Portuguese and Hungarian
02:13due to the fact that only the kids speaking it were taught Kanari.
02:17This forced the actors to depend on the body language and facial expressions given off by
02:21their young Kassa co-star during those flashback sequences, throwing Kassian's eventual
02:26adoptive mother into a similar scenario as the one viewers found themselves in, with the
02:30show opting to not use subtitles during these early Kanari moments.
02:35Knowing that Shaw's Marva and Gary Beedle's Clem also genuinely didn't understand what
02:39the spooked Kanari child was going on about, definitely adds another layer of authenticity
02:43to the already impressively grounded Tony Gilroy Rogue One prequel show.

02:49Werner Herzog forgot he was acting with a puppet, The Mandalorian
02:53You'd be lying if he said you hadn't found yourself completely forgetting, even for just
02:57a brief second, that the lovable little green icon that is Grogu was actually little more
03:02than a ridiculously believable puppet at various points throughout the Mandalorian series.
03:07In the case of one of the stars of the first season of that Disney Plus hit though, the child
03:11puppet was so damn impressive that they actually regularly found themselves getting lost in the
03:16illusion to the point of actually treating Baby Yoda as if he was an actual living thing.
03:21In fact, director Deborah Chow even went as far as to confess that she experienced one
03:25utterly bizarre moment on set, involving herself giving Werner Herzog some direction, only for
03:30the star who had clearly fallen in love with the baby, and perhaps even forgotten it wasn't
03:34actually, you know, alive, to start giving direction to his puppet co-star.
03:39This genuine commitment to believing in Grogu being as much a part of the living cast as
03:43the likes of Din Djarin and co, undoubtedly changes the way you take in Herzog's mesmerizing work
03:48as the client during that galaxy-gripping first season, it must be said.
03:52And he's still real to me, damnit!

03:55Luke's Last Leia Kiss Wasn't In The Script Episode 8 The Last Jedi
03:59Luke Skywalker's emotional peck on his sister Leia Organa's head before his confrontation
04:04with Kylo Ren was up there as one of the sequel trilogy's most moving occurrences.
04:09But what you may not be aware of is the fact that this specific part of Mark Hamill and
04:13Carrie Fisher's moment together in Episode 3 wasn't actually a part of the scripted
04:17plan at all.
04:19Hamill would note on Twitter a little later down the road that this was an emotionally
04:22charged day on set, due to the fact that Luke knew he was saying goodbye forever.
04:27So in a truly touching moment, Hamill chose to land an unscripted and spontaneous kiss
04:32on Fisher's head, summarizing his-slash-my-feelings in a way words could never have conveyed
04:37as he put it.
04:38Talk about making an already heartbreaking sequence even harder to sit through without
04:42bawling like a baby, eh?

04:45David Prowse's Eye Briefly Makes A Cameo Episode 4 A New Hope
04:49It's safe to say there's quite a lot going on as the first ever Star Wars adventure
04:52reaches its thrilling climax.
04:55With Luke and the rest of his Rebel Alliance mates attempting to blow up the Death Star with
04:59one highly accurate shot down an exhaust port, as Darth Vader and a number of TIE fighters
05:04tried to keep the superweapons safe.
05:06So you'd be forgiven from completely missing one rather brief moment in the thick of the
05:10action that actually revealed a little more of the man under the mask of the iconic Big
05:14Bad than George Lucas and co were likely wanting to originally expose.
05:19As Luke closes in on completing his all-important mission, a quick shot of Vader looking up at
05:24a departing Wedge Antilles brings with it a cheeky glimpse of actor David Prowse's
05:28eye behind the usually hard-to-see-through red lens of his legendary mask.
05:33Whether it was Lucas' intention to subtly peer into the shell containing a fallen Anakin
05:37Skywalker for a second or not, once you spot the human eyeball lurking within during this
05:42blink-and-you'll-miss-it shot, it's very hard to unsee the Prowse staring back at you.

05:48Carrie Fisher's Dog Makes A Sort-Of-Secret Cameo Episode 8 The Last Jedi
05:53One sequel trilogy cameo that even the most eagle-eyed fans likely would have struggled
05:57to catch during Episode 8 actually saw none other than the late great Carrie Fisher's
06:01own lovable pooch Gary get in on the action, well, sort of.
06:05Inspired by the Leia Organa star's own French bulldog, Space Gary was actually a chefy pet
06:11also known as Augry, owned by Gatha Elbuffet, a patron of Canto Bites Casino.
06:17The tribute to Fisher's Dog was an animatronic puppet operated by Daisy Beatty that was also
06:22attached to the costume of Elbuffet worn by performer Paul Warren throughout the sequences
06:26on Cantonica.
06:28The Canto Bites sequence may not have been everyone's cup of blue milk, but at least
06:31it came acquits with an homage that's almost impossible not to adore once you catch it.

06:37Mark Hamill's Number Sneaks Into a Scene Episode 4 A New Hope
06:41A young Mark Hamill clearly had a feeling that a decent number of folks were going to witness
06:45his performance as Luke Skywalker in what would eventually become known as A New Hope.
06:50So the actor had a cheeky idea while shooting the film's iconic trash compactor sequence.
06:54Early on, Hamill was under the impression that he'd be tasked with delivering a line to
06:58C-3PO involving a serial number in the scene, and decided that he'd sneak his own phone
07:03number into the moment so that it would be forever preserved on film.
07:07Only when it came time to shoot the sequence in question, the blocking of the scene meant
07:11that Harrison Ford had to let loose the line instead, bummer.
07:15After arguing over who would get the chance to say their own number on screen, the Han Solo
07:19star finally gave the big baby as he put it his wish, and declared Mark's digits.
07:24Leading to Hamill letting out a laugh at just how childish she'd been acting up to that
07:28point.
07:29But that's still apparently very much the Luke Skywalker actor's number at the time being
07:33blared out by Han after narrowly avoiding being squished to death.
07:37So that's something, eh?
07:38Number 3.
07:39Darth Sidious Wielding Two Lightsabers Is Hinted At
07:42Episode 3 Revenge of the Sith A few years before the animated hit series that
07:47was the Clone Wars burst onto the scene in 2008, Revenge of the Sith debuted the first
07:52look at Darth Sidious wielding his very own Sith lightsaber during a few duels with various
07:56Jedi Masters.
07:58After first trying to best Mace Windu in a one-on-one lightsaber fight and ultimately having his weapon
08:03knocked out of a window, Sidious once again whips out another trusty red blade during his
08:08eventual battle with Yoda later on in Episode 3.
08:11And while some initially assumed that Emperor Palpatine was perhaps hiding a decent supply of
08:15backups to call upon, should he unfortunately lose or break one of his trusty weapons, the
08:20canon truth behind his multiple lightsabers was revealed during that aforementioned animated
08:24show.
08:25During an earlier duel with Maul and Savage Opress in the Clone Wars, Sidious could actually be
08:30seen wielding both of his eventual Revenge of the Sith lightsabers at the same time, suggesting
08:36that his second blade used against his little green rival was anything but a backup.
08:41Fans of the prequels may not have been given any real concrete information as to how Sidious
08:44was able to conjure up another weapon so quickly after his disarming at the hands of Windu.
08:49But those who immersed themselves in the Clone Wars were very much treated to a moment that
08:53changes the way you look at Palpatine's Revenge of the Sith weapons forever.

08:58A Taped Up Stormtrooper Episode 4 A New Hope
09:01The life of a Stormtrooper can be a pretty tough and physical one at the best of times,
09:06when running the thick of trying to capture the galaxy's favorite princess, a few bumps
09:10and scrapes are to be expected along the way.
09:13However, far from allowing a bit of armor damage to keep one particularly driven white
09:17armored Imperial unit down, it appears a Stormtrooper seen early on in A New Hope had an easily
09:23missable solution.
09:24If you look closely at one of the troops stood alongside Leia as she's captured by her eventually
09:28revealed father Darth Vader, you'll spot that this terrible shot is actually keeping
09:32their gear together with a simple piece of white gaffer tape.
09:36In reality this was likely just a cheeky quick fix the folks behind the first ever Star Wars
09:40picture were hoping would slip through the cracks in the finished product, and it did
09:44for a few decades there.
09:46But HD and 4K revisits to the galaxy far far away have ensured that even the smallest visual
09:52imperfections can now be easily spotted with just the push of a pause button.
09:56These glimpses into the reality behind what went into crafting this 1977 classic only add
10:01to the charm of Lucas' original trilogy starter though.
10:05More tape I say!
10:06Number 1 Pedro Pascal wasn't Mando for an entire episode, The Mandalorian.
10:11Quickly establishing himself as one of the new celebrated faces slash voices of the next
10:15generation of Star Wars tales, Pedro Pascal's work as Din Djarin during The Mandalorian soon
10:21helped cement that Disney Plus series as the best thing to happen to the franchise in years.
10:25And while there most definitely wouldn't be a Mandalorian series without the titular
10:29bounty hunter, there was actually an episode there when the show found a way to go on without
10:34the need for Pascal to even be on set.
10:37With the star of the show actually being too busy to appear in episode 4 of the first season
10:41known as Sanctuary, due to him rehearsing for King Lear on Broadway at the time, Bryce Dallas
10:45Howard later confirmed that she wasn't actually working with Pascal at any point in that chapter.
10:51This meant that Mando was brought to life on set through the physical work of stunt doubles
10:54Brendan Wayne and Lateef Crowder in the end, and Pascal simply voiced the character later
10:59down the road.
11:00The end result is unquestionably seamless, and very few would be quick to assume that
11:04Pedro was nowhere to be seen during the physical shooting of the 4th episode, but that is
11:08very much a physically Pascal-less Mando seen taking down an AT-ST on Sorgen.
