Quilindschy Hartman: Burnley have been interested in me for a while

Quilindschy Hartman knew of Burnley's interest in him last summer.  He kept an eye on how the Clarets performed last season and was impressed with their defensive record in the Championship.

00:00Has the move to Berlin always been in the pipeline?

00:02Have they made their interests known for a good few months?

00:06Yeah, to be honest, I think in the championship year, that was 2023,

00:11they were already interested in me, but then it was not, I think, the moment for me.

00:16I just came through the academy, played one year, were champion,

00:19but then I wanted to play Champions League really bad.

00:22And I think at that moment it was not the moment, but they always kept interest in me.

00:28And I think this summer when they came again, then it went quite fast

00:34because I really wanted to move to the Premier League.

00:36That was already a thing I knew.

00:38And what I said already before, the way they were prepared

00:41and the way they knew how I was as a player and how I would fit in,

00:46I think that made me pick very quickly that I wanted to go to Berlin.

00:51Did you keep an eye on the results last year, obviously?

00:54They had quite a good season in the championship.

00:56Yeah, to be honest, in Holland, the championship is not on TV or something.

01:01So I didn't watch it a lot.

01:04But when Burnley came, then I checked a lot of the games to see how they play,

01:09how I would fit in.

01:11And then I saw, especially defensively, conceding almost no goals in like 46 games.

01:17So yeah, I saw that they were doing pretty good.

01:21And I think that's also a good sign that we managed to keep a lot of those players.

01:26And then hopefully we will be able to build on that.

01:29So here's what I was going to do today.

01:31The last one I saw is like the guy who's on the internet,

01:35that's a heurIEP.

01:36I was really interested in my first one that's going to have a better job.

01:38So that doesn't approach people.

01:39That's the same thing, and that's the same thing.
