Bulandshahr (UP) — A disturbing case of extreme mental and physical harassment has emerged from the Kakod police station area of Bulandshahr, where a 32-year-old man allegedly died by suicide after being tortured by his wife and her lover.
The deceased, identified as Asif, reportedly hanged himself at home on 11 July. According to his brother Abid, Asif had called him before taking the drastic step and described his ordeal in tears — alleging that his wife Rubina (28) and her lover Salim (25) tied his hands and feet, drugged him, and forced him to watch them have sexual relations “in porn film style” in front of him.
Asif and Rubina had been married for 10 years and had three children. Salim, the alleged lover, is a neighbour.
The family claims that Asif had even approached Rubina’s brother for help but was humiliated and told he was unworthy of his wife and should die. Unable to bear the constant humiliation and worried about his children, Asif ended his life.
Police have registered a case against Rubina and Salim on the complaint of Asif’s family. Both accused have been absconding since the incident. The body has been sent for post-mortem, and a search is underway for the duo.
The incident, which falls under the category of severe domestic violence and mental torture, has sparked outrage and raised serious questions about trust and dignity in relationships.
