00:00The world can be a distracting place with fewer and fewer spaces to really check out and check in.
00:06Those moments where I'm alone taking care of myself, doing my makeup, or taking a bath are so special and so needed.
00:13It's where I get to be alone with my thoughts.
00:16Well, not completely alone.
00:18Because today, I'm going to let you in on all those thoughts that run through my mind when I'm present with myself and only myself.
00:25And, well, all of you viewers.
00:30Play Beauty came to be, as of a few years ago, started it from scratch, from the ground up.
00:40I really had to figure out what exactly I wanted to say.
00:43Play actually kind of helped me figure out more about myself when I realized that I was going to be creating something that I wanted to see or something that I would use or I needed to fill a void in the beauty space, which is already so huge.
00:55I wanted it to be unique and different and expressive and colorful.
01:00I wanted something that wasn't going to break me out.
01:02And I also wanted to become Leaping Bunny certified.
01:06I didn't want to test our products on animals, which I don't know why the beauty industry ever tested on animals and why something would be so toxic that they wouldn't be able to test it on a human.
01:16That's pretty concerning to me.
01:18There were a lot of concerning things that I learned about companies while developing one that I just thought, wait, we do this.
01:24This is a thing.
01:25I mean, I guess in the last couple of years, like we all haven't really been wearing a lot of makeup since we've been at home or we've been underneath masks.
01:33So I think we've all been thinking about skin care a lot more.
01:36And I really figured out that I need to change my diet and I need to change what I'm putting into my body.
01:43And like, I've been learning from facialists that and from gynecologists and all kinds of things.
01:47But like when you have a breakout on your skin, it is your skin communicating to you that there is an issue.
01:53I break out hormonally around my chin and I figured out that I had a hormonal imbalance and like I needed to start taking different supplements to do that.
02:02And I know that we all have like different things that our body's trying to tell us.
02:05But if I could say anything just from what I've learned, I would say just listen to that.
02:09I didn't know that a Brazilian butt lift is what a butt whatever was called.
02:17But what I think about is the healing process, because where do you sit?
02:23How do you relax?
02:24How do you take the load off?
02:25Like I give women so much credit that get anything done because I'm like, that seems like the recovery process would just be horrible.
02:35And then I've seen videos, which I don't even want to see, but it's breaking down like when celebrities have disappeared.
02:42So when they would have gotten what work done or what would have happened.
02:44And I just find that fact that people break that down and take the time is just, it's insane to me.
02:51People are detectives on everything.
02:54I always forget like what the hell this looks like when I'm doing it when I'm alone.
02:58And then when people are watching, okay, I get a lot of brow tips from different makeup artists.
03:06Like I just love hearing what they have to say about brows.
03:11And a lot of them recently have just told me not to touch them.
03:13And I feel like those are people's biggest regrets is just going too far into the, the brow waxing.
03:22I'm like, I'm not a morning person and I'm not a night person.
03:28So I guess I'm like a midday person, which nobody really talks about.
03:31I am more of a morning person though.
03:33I've just pass out at night.
03:34Like I turn on a show and I'm just asleep.
03:37Like the second my head hits the pillow, I'm asleep.
03:43Love Life.
03:44I'm watching that show on HBO and Nine Perfect Strangers.
03:47Each character is just so distinct and hilarious.
03:51And I think every actor brings something so different and is just so talented.
03:55My mom's a huge Real Housewives fan.
03:59I would just watch a lot of Andy Cohen.
04:00Like I think Watch What Happens Live is one of the most honest talk shows that not a lot of people talk about.
04:05But I love Andy Cohen plays this game, Plead the Fifth.
04:08And he asks like the hardest hitting questions as far as someone's personal life that I would never have the balls to ask.
04:15And then he also just has everyone drinking.
04:16And it's really funny to watch like some people don't really want to drink.
04:19And then some celebrities are just like taking shots.
04:21And then by the end of the interview, they're feeling the alcohol and they're just opening up even more and just being so truly themselves.
04:28And I feel like Andy has this way of just making people be super honest with him.
04:32Like he just, I think a lot of people know him and are friends with him.
04:36So I like that show.
04:37Um, and then I would watch the UK Love Island.
04:42Um, but I had to stop because I really got addicted to that show.
04:45The Cobra Kai set vibe is one of the most fun sets I've ever been on.
04:54And I've definitely lied before in interviews and said, oh, yeah, we're like a family.
04:59And then I've kind of regretted it because we're not.
05:01And I think a lot of people say that, but this show, we're genuinely like family and we all really are best friends.
05:08And like even Ralph Macchio had his 60th birthday this season and he made sure that each and every one of us from the cast could be there.
05:16And we were there with his kids and his wife and it was just such a special time.
05:20No one really expected the show to be what it is now since going to Netflix.
05:24And the way fans have received the show has been so mind blowing.
05:29And Cobra Kai went to Netflix over COVID.
05:32So we were just in quarantine like everyone else.
05:34And then all of a sudden the show is number one and it was just a wild experience.
05:43Yeah, unfortunately, when doing that much karate or doing that many stunt scenes, like something is just bound to happen.
05:50And nothing really huge has happened, but my hand definitely has slipped and has accidentally hit Mary during the show.
06:00And she's so kind about it because obviously it's not intentional and things just happen.
06:08Luckily, we have to have fake bruises and like fake blood and fake makeup.
06:12So if we do get hit, we just kind of go along with it and makeup and then we just make it a little darker.
06:17And then if we have to match it the next week, we do with makeup.
06:20I've actually never told anyone this before and I'm glad that you guys are accepting it because, yeah, I do wake up in the mornings and like I like to be alone because I like to have dance parties and I like to do like some cardio, like 80s type aerobics dancing alone.
06:39And like I'll put on any song and then just be like, all right, for this amount of time, you can't go on your phone.
06:45Like for these next three songs, you have to like completely just dance your heart out and skip or like whatever the music makes you feel.
06:53And sometimes I'll end up like rolling on the floor or just like twirling around.
06:58My dog gets really excited.
06:59So I feel like he's my hype man.
07:01Like one of the most therapeutic things for me has been screaming.
07:03And so as loud as I can, but I feel like where I live, people will be really concerned.
07:09So that's like a way I also get energy out is just by like, it's so therapeutic to just scream bloody murder.
07:16Like especially with where the world is at right now.
07:18And like sometimes you feel so hopeless, like there's nothing you can do.
07:21And, you know, I mean, you can, you can do what you can and then you can also scream.
07:28I just want a little brighter than I want.
07:31It's just a lot with the purple eye.
07:34So, you know what?
07:34Let's just add this glitter lip gloss.
07:36Let's see what happens.
07:37All right.
07:38This is my look.
07:39This was my everyday makeup look that got really carried away while I was talking to you guys.
