00:00Well the palace has confirmed overnight that the president will come for this
00:03historic second state visit between the 17th and 19th of September and the
00:08palace organizes the state visit in the normal way. It's a decision for the
00:13speaker in Parliament who gets to address Parliament one way or another but
00:17we very much look forward to welcoming the president United States to the
00:21United Kingdom. I know the Prime Minister will look forward to welcoming him here
00:25and look there are benefits to a positive relationship with the United
00:28States. We saw in the last week the consultancy Deloitte said the UK is the
00:33most popular place for inward investment in the world alongside India partly as a
00:38consequence of the trade deal that we've been able to do with the president and
00:41the United States so it works in our interests to make sure that we maintain
00:44that positive relationship. Well if no one's in Parliament it'd be a bit of an
00:47odd address wouldn't it because there'd be no one there but the visit will be
00:50important and we'll make sure that whether it's their palace or the
00:53engagement with the government in Downing Street that it will be a
00:55successful state visit.
