00:00So in this particular crime, the arrested accused Pratim Bora, he had used the one image of the
00:10victim to generate several obscene content and pornographic material using various AI softwares.
00:18The victim and the accused have a past acquaintance and due to some personal reasons,
00:23he resorted to doing this sort of a crime where AI technology was put to full use and it was
00:29made to appear as if the victim had joined the porn industry which turned out to be completely fake.
00:36On meticulous investigation, we can very well see that all the photos and images
00:41and the videos that have been circulated in the social media are purely generated using AI software.
00:46In the seizure, we have several electronic items including two mobile phones, one hard disk,
00:51one Lenovo laptop, one tablet, one pen drive, several SIM cards and because the accused also
00:58made this as a way of financial gain. He used to earn money from the subscription he was providing
01:04for this page which had pornographic content of the AI generated pornographic content of the victim
01:09uploaded. So we have also seized his financial documents including several credit and debit
01:14cards. Since the case has only been registered yesterday, we are still investigating but from
01:18what we have come to know it is about 10 lakhs. So there are so many other people also are likely
01:24to be involved? At this point, I would not say that we have found trace of anybody else being
01:29involved but as the investigation progresses, there might be a possibility of other names coming up.
01:34So the case is case number 234 oblique 25 of Dibruger PS registered under sections 74, 75, 294,
01:51336 subsection 4, 351 subsection 2 and 356 subsection 2 of the BNS and now that we have found sufficient digital
02:01evidence, we will also be giving a prayer to the court to add relevant sections of the IT act in
02:06this case. So he will be produced before the court and are you going to seek remand for it?
02:11Yes, he will be produced before the court today and we will be asking for a seven days remand.
02:15Initially, people might not have known that these images were morphed and AI generated but now that
02:20we have issued a press briefing and we have given a clarification that all the circulation in the
02:26media is completely fake and AI generated. So people now should completely refrain from circulating or
02:32using these images and targeting the victim. If any act of this sort is done, necessary legal action will be taken.
