00:25And some Australian fellow I met in 2006 and fell in love with, in my opinion, one of the greatest keyboard players.

00:37In fact, probably the greatest keyboard player I've ever had today.

00:39Lachie Galway.

00:47So I want to play with these guys.

00:49As it was an honor to reach and play and perform these, uh, these songs that were written all those years ago.

01:00It's a thing that, um, I never thought I'd ever do a show like this.

01:04And, um, well, you never can say never because it just never happens to everyone.

01:09So I just want to give you a little story about this next song.

01:12Uh, I was, um, having an early morning cognac with, uh, Mr. John Lord.

01:22Well, it was okay to drink, aren't you?

01:29Brandly okay to drink.

01:33Three o'clock in the morning.

01:34Just me and I, in a recording studio in Munich, Germany.

01:40And we were making an album called Conte's The Band with our band, Deep Purple.

01:43John used to love cracking jokes.

01:53But this next thing he, uh, came up with was no joke for me.

01:57He started to play these chords.

01:59These, as you will hear in a second, these chords that made me breathe a little different.

02:06Made me stand a little different and made me feel, uh, it was just one of those moments in everyone's life.

02:16And I'm sure you've had them or you're going to have them.

02:19I hope you have a moment like I had when I, uh, wrote this song with John at three o'clock.

02:26One lovely, lovely morning in the summer of 1975.
