00:00Was the flick of two switches enough to bring down Air India Flight 171?

00:06The first report from Indian investigators into the disaster in Ahmedabad one month ago

00:11has revealed that fuel to the aircraft was momentarily cut off shortly after takeoff.

00:17The report reveals confusion in the cockpit.

00:20In the cockpit voice recording, one of the pilots is heard asking the other why did he cut off.

00:25The other pilot responded that he did not do so.

00:28Investigators have not drawn official conclusions yet,

00:33but reported no technical issues with the engines or the aircraft.

00:37So it seems this was the culprit,

00:39two fuel switches that were mysteriously moved from run to cut off within a second of each other.

00:45From that point, the Boeing Dreamliner lost speed and altitude.

00:49The switches were flipped back on, but it was too late.

00:52One of the pilots transmitted a mayday signal

00:55before the plane crashed some 30 seconds after taking off.

00:59All but one of the 242 people on board and 19 people on the ground were killed.

01:05Boeing and Air India have said they'll continue to support the investigation,

01:09which could take months to complete.
