00:22A two-run shot, and the Yankees lead 6-2.

00:26You can't argue with what this guy's bringing to the Yankees since he's come to the Bronx.

00:33Let's just face facts.

00:34He's better now than when they first got him.

00:37Like, he's really putting up numbers now and performing in the field as well.

00:42He played third, he's playing second, he does everything.

00:46And now he's having two home run jack nights?

00:48I mean, you gotta be kidding me.

00:50I think he's having a great season.

00:52He is having a great season, and of course,

00:54he'll be rewarded with going to Atlanta next week for the All-Star Game.

00:59In fact, he has said that he'd be willing to be in the home run derby,

01:03but they haven't asked him.

01:04He said he'd be willing to participate in it.

01:07Why is that?

01:07But he hasn't gotten the invite.

01:08It makes no sense to me.

01:09They don't think he hits home runs?

01:12You know, apparently, they're looking for, I guess,

01:15now they still have some slots to fill.

01:17Now, they did fill one of them today.

01:19Our boy Rooker is going to be in the home run derby.

01:23But they still have two to go, one from each side, American and national.

01:27So, I guess they're going to eventually, I mean,

01:30if you keep going down the list and people are saying no,

01:32you got to eventually get to Jazz, right?

01:34He's got 17 homers this year.

01:36That's nothing to sneeze at.

01:38It's not like he's got five homers.

01:40Now, look, this is exciting, too.

01:42He has fun.

01:43And it's not the same thing as hitting home runs in the regular season

01:48against starting pitching.

01:51This is no different than batting practice.

01:54The guys throw cheese and they jack home runs.

01:59And there's nothing that this guy can't do in a batting practice situation.

02:04He goes in there every day and smacks home runs at batting practice

02:08when the guy throws 75 miles an hour.

02:11I mean, that's all it is.

02:12It's like it's open season.

02:14This isn't like, you know, facing Mizoroski or something.

02:18You know what I mean?

02:18This is not Paul Skeen.

02:20This is the, you know, some guy from the bullpen throwing cheese.

02:25So, I think he could do great in it.

02:29Hopefully, he gets the chance.

02:31We'll see who they dig up if it's not going to be him to go ahead

02:56The other story, of course, with the Yankees last night, Scottie,

02:58was the debut of Cam Schlittler.

03:02Five in third innings, four hits, three runs, seven strikeouts.

03:07And I think he threw, and this, I guess, wasn't too hard to do.

03:10I guess he had, like, the eight hardest throws of any pitcher this year

03:14by the Yankees because the Yankees basically had nobody who gets up

03:17in that 99-100 level.

03:19And he was topping that pretty much the whole entire time.

03:23Here he is, very excited, the kid, about pitching at Yankee Stadium.

03:30What do you feel like to take him out at Yankee Stadium,

03:33that first pitch he threw?

03:34Yeah, it's a dream, obviously.

03:35I mean, even before getting drafted, the goal was to, you know,

03:38play professional baseball and definitely want to be a Yankee.

03:40So, it's a dream come true.

03:42Very exciting as well there.

03:46We've had a lot of excitement early in the show today.
