00:25If the victim survives, it can still cause a stroke, heart attack, miscarriage or brain
00:31injury and the experience can have a devastating impact on their psychological wellbeing.
00:39Over 10% of survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault report that they were strangled.
00:46However, the vast majority of victims make no report at all.
00:52Nobody should have the power over whether someone takes their next breath or not.
