00:00The palace said it is still studying possible measures to address the issue of online gambling in the country,

00:06following Senator Juan Miguel Zubiri's remarks calling the Philippines a valedictorian in online gambling.

00:13According to palace press officer Claire Castro, one proposal being reviewed is from the Department of Finance,

00:18which suggests erasing taxes on online gambling platforms.

00:22President Ferdinand R. Marcus Jr. sympathizes with families affected by the gambling addiction,

00:27and the palace is also looking into how endorsements by public personalities can be regulated.

00:33Castro emphasized that any action will be balanced with freedom of expression and proper judgment.
