00:00So we've been here before talking about a possible ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.

00:06It hasn't materialized. So why does President Trump sound so optimistic this time?

00:14Leanne, I would say President Trump has been one of the most consistent U.S. presidents

00:20in his belief in diplomacy and really using negotiation, dealmaking and diplomacy as a

00:28pathway to resolve international conflicts. And the reality is, if you look at what is happening

00:34on the ground in Gaza, Hamas has been defeated militarily handily. So all of their military

00:42leaders have now been eliminated by Israel. And so now you've got kind of like this second strata

00:49of, I can't even use the word leadership in Hamas left, and then the political leaders in Doha.

00:57And so, you know, I think President Trump's optimism stems from the fact that Hamas doesn't

01:04really have much left to negotiate on. But unfortunately, because they are a terror group,

01:11they're not the most rational actors. And it is possible that they might try to extend

01:15talks and delay the situation even past any point of doing so.

01:21And so, let's go.
