Take a look at Directive 8020, a new survival horror game by Until Dawn developers Supermassive Games. In this new trailer, which shows the last vestige of humanity's spaceship crash landing on a mysterious planet, Supermassive Games revealed the game's Turning Point mechanic, a feature that allows players to rewind the clock and make different choices to keep their sequestered space navigators alive.
00:00Hey, I'm Will Doyle, Creative Director on Directive 80-20, and I'm here to share with you a new feature that we've added for the first time in a Dark Pictures game.
00:08Turning Points is a new narrative system which allows you to go back and change the outcome of your choices.
00:16As with all our games, Directive 80-20 has a branching story with multiple endings.
00:21You'll be able to track the choices and paths that you've taken in the game,
00:25and see alternate paths that link to each of the major decisions that you've made.
00:31With Turning Points, you can rewind to a pivotal point or decision, collect missing collectibles, or see how different choices would have played out.
00:39By the same token, your actions matter in our games if you want to live by your decisions.
00:43There's also a Survivor Mode setting that prevents you from rewinding, but still lets you view the decision tree.
00:49Turning Points will be available, both digitally and physically, for all copies of the game, from when you start your very first mission.
