00:26When I saw her dance, she was all I could look at.

00:32And then the pressure came that we had to work more to try to get a hit.

00:48I started really seeing that I had to make a change.

01:03So I said, I'll just take my name.

01:05And then we tried to get a record deal.

01:09Nobody touched Tina Turner.

01:11She'd play anywhere just to make the money to get by.

01:14My dream is to be the first black rock and roll singer to pack places like the Stones.

01:22When she became successful, the past came up.

01:27Her story reached so many people who felt like they had to keep their secrets locked away deep down.

01:34The worst parts of your life has been an inspiration.
