Srinagar (J&K), July 5, 2025 (ANI): A rare traditional Muharram procession was carried out in the world’s famous Dal Lake on July 5. The procession marks the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (a.s.), the grandson of Prophet Muhammad. This Dal Lake procession has a history of over 185 years. The procession started from Rainawari and moved through the interiors of Dal Lake to Kaenkech using traditional wooden boats (shikaras).
