00:00Ladies and gentlemen, the President of the United States and First Lady Melania Trump.
00:23Ladies and gentlemen, the President of the United States and First Lady Melania Trump.
00:30We love you!
00:50We love you!
00:53We love you!
01:28Ladies and gentlemen, Master Gunnery Sergeant Kevin Benier, accompanied by the President's
01:56own United States Marine Band, will now honor America with the singing of our national
02:00anthem, followed by a flyover consisting of a B-2 spirit bomber from Whiteman Air Force
02:06Base, escorted by two F-35 fighters in honor of all our military personnel who participated
02:11in Operation Midnight Hammer and who are currently serving both home and abroad, protecting our
02:16nation's freedom.
02:23We hail at the twilight's last gleaming.
02:30We hail at the twilight's last gleaming.
02:47We hail at the twilight's last gleaming.
02:54We hail at the twilight's last gleaming.
02:56We hail at the twilight's last gleaming.
03:00We hail at the twilight's last gleaming.
03:09We hail at the twilight's last gleaming.
03:15through the night that our flag was still there.
03:22Oh, say does that star-spangled banner yet wave
03:33O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?
05:03Ladies and gentlemen, the President of the United States
05:27and First Lady Melania Trump.
05:33Well, thank you very much.
05:38And that is some sight, especially after what happened just a week ago.
05:44When you look at that big, beautiful plane and the other ones were something.
05:48It was an incredible mission.
05:51And I think I can say very proudly, and I don't have to quote the polls,
05:56that our country is more proud right now than it's been in many, many years.
06:01We have pride. We have dignity.
06:03We have something that's happened miraculously so fast.
06:08You know that our military now is the most sought-after job there that has ever been
06:14being serving in our military.
06:16One year ago, people didn't want to join our military.
06:19They didn't want to join our police or firefighters.
06:22They didn't want to join anything having to do with our country.
06:25And now, as you probably know, the enlistment is at an all-time record.
06:30We're packed. We're full.
06:32And I just think that's so important because that was so sad.
06:38One year ago, when I heard those statistics, we had a different president.
06:44But nobody wanted to join.
06:46And now, we're at a record.
06:48And I will say that I just left NATO, where we had a tremendous experience.
06:53They've agreed to put up over a trillion dollars a year.
06:55They went from less than 2 percent to 5 percent, and nobody thought that was possible.
07:00And they told me very strongly — the leaders of a big part of the world, respected people all —
07:08they told me that, you know, one year ago, your country was dead.
07:13And now, you have the hottest country anywhere in the world.
07:17So that's the way it is, and that's the way we like it.
07:20And it's only going to get hotter. I promise you that.
07:24After that spectacular display of American power, let me just say that God bless
07:29the United States military and God bless the USA.
07:35God bless the USA.
07:38And to all Americans, I want to wish you a very happy Independence Day.
07:43Happy Fourth of July.
07:45This is going to be something special.
07:47There's spirit in this country.
07:49We haven't seen anything like it in many, many years and decades.
07:52Let me also express our gratitude to our magnificent First Lady.
07:57You worked very hard to make this all work.
08:00And we have a fireworks display about 9 o'clock tonight.
08:07I hope you're all going to be around and watch it.
08:09I know our congressmen and our senators who are standing right here — so many of them — they did such a great job.
08:14They're going to be here. I guarantee you. They're not leaving. They're not leaving.
08:19Thanks as well to the National Park Service, the USO, and countless friends and distinguished guests.
08:26We have so many people in the audience that have so much to do with the success of our country.
08:31We've, I think, had probably the most successful almost six months as a president.
08:37And the presidency, I think they're saying it was the best six months.
08:41It's the best six months.
08:42And I know —
