00:00it's a new beginning with the ribbon cutting at the Dixon Historical Theatre hi my name is

00:09Darren Mangler I'm the executive director and artistic producer here at the Dixon Historic

00:13Theatre we are two days away from opening our 2025 season we have 70 events coming up with

00:21over 90 nights of entertainment very eclectic year this year we have our children's theater

00:26program we have tribute bands we have a list bands comedians special talkers we

00:33have the municipal band coming in as well so there's something for everyone this

00:37year we're really excited about the outpouring of support from Dixon and Amboy

00:44and Oregon and Sterling and Rock Falls all of the Sauk Valley has been very

00:49supportive so far we're really excited with our grand opening which is March

00:542nd which is Sunday we are bringing in the national tour of Spamilton out of New

00:58York it's a hilarious spoof on Hamilton and most of the shows on Broadway we're

01:03gonna have a pre party before that action
