00:00COVID-19 vaccines were instituted after systematic laboratory studies, animal toxicity studies, and clinical studies.
00:12And they fulfilled scientific rigor and all the regulatory criteria and benchmarks.
00:20Now this notion that these vaccines are associated with sudden death has been making ground.
00:25And to address that systematically, a study was commissioned by the Indian Council of Medical Research.
00:34This was a systematic study published in 2023.
00:38And the study was conducted in 47 hospital sites.
00:46It was a case control study in which more than 700 individuals, young individuals who had suffered sudden death were included.
00:59And for each such case, four controls were taken, which were age matched, gender matched, and neighborhood matched.
01:07And what emerges from this study, and this is a very well done study, it's a systematic, scientifically valid study, and what emerges is that COVID-19 vaccine was actually protective against sudden deaths.
01:25Not enhancing the risk, but decreasing the risk, reducing the risk of sudden death to the tune of 42 to 49% risk reduction.
01:37So there is, from this study, there is no question that we see any evidence that vaccines were associated with excess risk of sudden death.
01:52Another study at Ames is demonstrating that the risk of sudden death is really not enhanced or high as of now.
02:02But now, all populations experience some level of sudden death, one to six per lakh life years, for example, that's the number.
02:13And their estimate is that the current incidence in their study, early results show, is no different.
02:21I would like to reassure the viewers that the science of the day is what I have told you.
02:27Please be guided by evidence, and let's really not be prey to unfounded notions.
02:36Can you input down from
