00:02:47inaugurated the groundbreaking of integrated electric vehicle battery industry ecosystem,
00:02:52the ANTAM-IBC-CBL Consortium,
00:02:55at the Arta Industrial Hills area in Karawang Regency, West Java.
00:02:59This marks a significant industrial development in upstream and downstream sector
00:03:04consisting of six projects developed by PT. Aneka Tambang or ANTAM,
00:03:09Indonesia Battery Corporation or IBC,
00:03:12and CBL Consortium.
00:03:14Five projects will develop in the East Halmahera FHD area
00:03:19while one project is based in Karawang.
00:03:23The EV battery industry ecosystem is part of the national strategic projects
00:03:28with a total investment value of 5.9 billion US dollars,
00:03:32covering an area of 3,023 hectares.
00:03:36It is expected to create 8,000 jobs,
00:03:40spur local economic growth,
00:03:42and support 18 multifunctional port infrastructure projects.
00:03:46Moreover, it is based on environmentally sustainable principles
00:03:50and utilizes various energy sources
00:03:52including two times 150 megawatt coal-fired power plants,
00:03:5680 megawatt gas turbine power plants,
00:04:0030 megawatt waste heat recovery plants,
00:04:03and 172 megawatt peak solar power plants.
00:04:06In his speech, President Prabowo emphasized that the project
00:04:10marks a new chapter in Indonesia's industrial history
00:04:13and that the key to national development lies in its ability
00:04:18to process natural resources into high-value products.
00:04:22He also highlighted that the concept of downstreaming
00:04:25has been around since the era of Indonesia's first President, Soekarno.
