00:00now uh here's who's left on the board uh cam for the nhl i wanted to give you this today

00:05because there's one name i guess of significance which of course is this ehlers uh who was with

00:11the jets last year so he's taking his time which is extremely rare by the way for nhl free agency

00:16usually if you don't have a deal within 24 hours you suck but ehlers is taking his time and he's

00:22weighing all of his options he's available dimitri orloff uh suitor ross flick anthony

00:28i mean these are the top remaining free agents i mean matt greslick patch already victor olofsson

00:37mason appleton these are who we're waiting on skinner james reimer me and maybe more saves than

00:45red light reimer these days what is happening here the thing is cam look the problem is it wasn't a

00:52great free agent class to begin with and 75 of the players that were decent re-signed with their

00:59teams before july 1st especially all the florida guys the day before you knew the marner deal was

01:06happening kane went back to detroit you had all these guys make moves before noon on july 1st and

01:11that's where you're left with really it's just dealers now uh wherever he goes that's all that

01:15anybody's waiting on and dealers is kind of like you know what i mean he's a good like point guy

01:19kind of a one-trick pony you know what i mean but he's good he's good he's yeah he's probably the

01:25best danish player you know caroline is going to pay him is what's going to happen caroline is going

01:31to pay ehlers because they have been uh you know rant uh ranting and really screwed them they thought

01:37that they were trading for ranting and they gave up acid and i know they got some guys back uh going the

01:41other way but uh they thought they were getting that guy with ranting and they were going to

01:46re-sign him and when they did it now i know the dealers is on that same level he's probably a level

01:52or two below but uh all in all that's what they're going for also i wanted to show you this

01:57uh vegas is now up to the third choice for next year uh there it is vegas uh 850 and thankfully

02:07they finally put florida at the top as me and scotty said the other day carolina florida should

02:13be florida should be the favorite for the cup until someone next year in the playoffs beats them

02:19and then they're not the favorite anymore that's it it's they've gone three years in a row they've

02:23won the last two i carolina should not be above florida on any stanley cup odd board nobody should

02:30cam until they lose they've reached that level and now bringing back all those guys they really

02:35shouldn't drop uh anywhere on that board because they will coast regular season they did it this

02:41year they will coast regular season they don't care about home ice doesn't matter to them they

02:46will beat you in the playoffs though they've shown you that over the last three years they're brilliant

02:51you could have got vegas at maybe 11 and 12 and some like offshores or whatever now down to plus 850

02:56marner's there they're already one of the better teams in the league man carver that west is tough i guess

03:01we got to be happy for one thing you and an islanders guy me as a leaf guy that we don't have to deal

03:05with like the teams in the west like who like a dallas colorado edmonton the kings are going to

03:11be good like there's a million other teams vegas that's the whole thing and you're right florida

03:16is the favorite and the fact that they used to put toronto and carolina up in like the two and

03:20three hole it's like are you guys stupid no carolina every year it's the same old story oh the canes

03:25the canes what do they do they lose in the playoffs just like toronto does they never get through
