Girl In Red caught up with NME at Glastonbury 2025 and opened up about her two powerful new singles ‘Hemingway’ and ‘Confession’, as well as how she is trying her hand at acting.

00:10How are you doing? I'm good, thank you. What's it like to be here at Glastonbury today? Already,

00:15you know, I just feel the vibes. So far, it's so good. After this, I'm gonna go out around the

00:21whole area and just have a little look because there's so many cool things to see. Okay, so we

00:25recently saw you release two beautiful new singles. I feel they're very vulnerable,

00:29Hemingway and Confession. Yeah. Tell me, how have you found the response to those songs?

00:33When I put out Confession, a lot of people were really worried at first. I guess rightfully so

00:37because I haven't really been doing that well. And then I followed that with Hemingway and the

00:44response to that song has been incredible. It's really scared to put it out there because I was

00:48so worried about how other people would perceive me. And I guess I just felt like a lot of shame

00:53at first. And that's probably why I had those thoughts about like, I didn't want to be perceived

00:57in a certain way. Speaking of daunting things, what's it been like for you to swap from music

01:02and get in front of the camera? It's been really intense. And it was like 10 hour, 12 hour days

01:09for like a month. And yeah, I was like, damn, this is more intense than touring. I thought for a sec,

01:15even I really hope that the movie is good. Like it's like the ultimate trust the process. So hopefully

01:22we've cooked and it's great. Yeah. Have you got the acting bug? Could you see yourself maybe putting

01:28music on the back burner? I've been, I'm kind of at this like weird crossroads, but I have like a lot

01:33of music that I'm working on also. So I feel like music is such an inherent part of like who I am. So

01:38it's not something I can just like put aside kind of like this, like a little ball of clay recently.

01:44I feel like I can be molded into anything and I don't even know what I'm going to be molded into.
