00:02In 1939, a group of three men filming a documentary about an island called South Sentinel Island set sail for filming.
00:10After three hours of sailing, they were finally half a mile away from the shore of the island.
00:15They could see people off in the distance on the island staring at them, but that's not what first caught their attention.
00:21It was the giant man inhabiting the island with them.
00:24When they zoomed in with the camera on his face, he looked very upset.
00:28While the crew was discussing what they wanted to do next, they couldn't help but hear a sound whizzing through the air.
00:34Before they could even react, one of the men was struck by a wooden spear and knocked off the boat into the water.
00:40With only two men remaining alive, they decided to give the tribe a peace offering.
00:45With one man filming, the other man swam ashore with a banjo to give to the tribe's leader as a gift.
