00:00A weird hobby that I enjoy, hanging out in graveyards.
00:03It's my version of being at a park.
00:05I have gotten threats, rude, horrible things said to me,
00:09but like, I don't really care.
00:11What's the point of being goth
00:13if you're not outside of the norms?
00:15So me and my twin brother are opposites.
00:18My style's dark and his is just not.
00:21He's very, very into the church.
00:23I am dressed nice, right?
00:25Not for church.
00:26I just think it'd be better if you toned it down.
00:28Madeline, why don't you come out?
00:30Oh!
00:32Dude!
00:33Oh!
00:34Crazy!
00:37My name is Madeline, and I would describe my style
00:40as very modern goth, dead witch, vampire,
00:45anything to look evil.
00:47Some elements of my dead witch kind of style
00:50would be especially this hat.
00:51I feel like in movies, witches are portrayed with big hats.
00:56Definitely my black clothes, my very flare pants,
00:59my long skirt.
01:01I like to look dead, so I do wear white foundation
01:05all the time, big eyeliner, black lipstick.
01:08Just a witchy look.
01:09I love who I am, and I don't want to change.
01:15What's up?
01:16Hey, what you doing today?
01:17I'm going to church practice.
01:19Can I come?
01:21Not in that, nah.
01:23I just think it'd be better if you toned it down.
01:25I got a surprise for you, and I think you'll be happy.
01:28We'll see.
01:31Oh, he slams the door.
01:32So, me and my twin brother are opposites,
01:35and today I'm going to give him the shock of his life
01:37by toning with him as a church girl, normie girl.
01:41I'm going to give him the shock of his face.
01:43I'm going to give him the shock of his face.
01:44Welcome.
01:45Come on in.
01:47Hi.
01:48Okay, we'll go ahead and we'll get started.
01:51So, first we are going to start by removing your makeup.
01:55The look that I'm doing for you today is going to be a little bit softer
01:59than the usual look that you go for.
02:01It's going to be essentially like a soft glam and like maybe like a pinky,
02:06like nudied lip.
02:07Not as much eyeliner, but we'll still give you a little bit.
02:10Yeah.
02:11We'll still give you a little bit of liner.
02:13This transformation is something out of my comfort zone
02:16because I am not used to seeing my own self
02:20in anything other than an alternative look.
02:22The eyebrows frame the face so well,
02:25and I feel like it makes the biggest difference.
02:27I've done so many different brows on myself
02:30because, you know, I shaved off my eyebrows.
02:32Exactly.
02:33So, I have been like...
02:34I wasn't sure if you were going to have any.
02:35People couldn't even tell because I was so good at drawing on my eyebrows.
02:38Growing up, I have always felt kind of different than other people.
02:43It was really hard for me to connect with the other girls.
02:46I ended up finding my love for goth and dark style.
02:51I think that being goth has helped me with my self-expression and who I am.
02:57So, what I'm going to be using right now, we're going to be using airbrush.
03:00So, the machine I'm using is the Temp Tube Pro.
03:02I'm just going to start off by contouring,
03:04giving you a little bit more definition.
03:06But the thing I like about airbrush, it looks pretty natural on the skin
03:09because it's a very fine micro mist.
03:12One of my interesting hobbies that a lot of people find weird is definitely hanging out in graveyards.
03:18I've been to plenty of graveyards.
03:20I think it's very peaceful.
03:22It's my version of being at a park and I think they're very beautiful.
03:27Have you ever been judged by others because of the way you look?
03:30Definitely many people and that's never going to stop.
03:33Online, in real life, I have gotten threats, rude, horrible things said to me.
03:40I get recorded by people laughed at, said stuff at me.
03:44People doing that to me is just proof that I am different and look different and that's kind of my goal.
03:50So, who are we doing this look for today?
03:52I'm revealing it to my twin brother, my best friend, and my boyfriend.
03:57They've really never seen me normal.
03:59Oh!
04:00My brother obviously did growing up.
04:01I think he will secretly like it a lot more if he doesn't say it.
04:04I think he will.
04:06My brother dresses more normal than me.
04:10Definitely more normal.
04:11Honestly, my style, there's not really a name for it.
04:14I kind of wear the clothes that are given to me.
04:16She definitely has a more defined style and compared to mine, it's definitely more iconic.
04:22There's a name for it.
04:23I call my style the Logan style.
04:25Do people ever disbelieve that Madeline and Logan are twins?
04:29Yes.
04:29Every single time that I talk about them being twins to someone, they freak out.
04:35I didn't even believe it either when I first saw her brother.
04:38I still forget.
04:39Yeah.
04:40He's in a churchy band group.
04:42He's very, very into the church.
04:45It's not that I'm not religious.
04:47Sometimes I just don't feel accepted to be in the church.
04:51These are all Ardell from their Naked collection.
04:56Ugh, they're like one of my favorite.
04:58The lip gloss I'm going to put on you is very like neutral.
05:01It's from Charlotte Tilbury.
05:03The collar is called Pillow Talk.
05:05Sometimes I do think things would be a little bit easier for my twin brother and my family if I wasn't goth and I wasn't dressing dark and evil.
05:15Okay, Madeline, we are done.
05:18How are you feeling?
05:19Oh my God.
05:20I'm actually kind of nervous to see what everyone else thinks.
05:24It'll be new to see her dressed maybe how she used to again.
05:28Maybe it'll be nostalgic, you know?
05:30I grew up with her my whole life.
05:31I'm super excited to see what's coming.
05:33Yeah.
05:34Madeline, why don't you come out?
05:35Oh my God.
05:36Oh my goodness.
05:37Oh my God.
05:41Dude.
05:42Oh, oh my, oh my gosh.
05:47Oh my goodness.
05:48Oh my gosh.
05:50That's amazing, bro.
05:52That's crazy.
05:54She looks not evil.
06:01Not what I was expecting at all.
06:02Not what I was expecting either.
06:03Oh my goodness.
06:04From far away, I was like, hold up.
06:06That's a different person.
06:08Yeah, dude.
06:08I've never seen your hair like that before.
06:11Like, I was thinking it was going to be brown again.
06:13But that's like a whole new color I've never seen before.
06:16It's pretty bright.
06:17So, yeah.
06:17You look like you go to church.
06:18Like, why am I blonde and brown?
06:20Like, what's going on?
06:21Moliage.
06:22Um.
06:22I mean, you look really good.
06:24It's like nothing that I was expecting.
06:26Do you prefer my other side more?
06:28Well, yeah.
06:29But like, this is insane.
06:32You would hate me if I looked like this.
06:33No, no, no.
06:34Not at all.
06:35I think you look really pretty.
06:36But I feel like you're more happier in your other side.
06:39Or more comfortable.
06:40And that's like the main thing.
06:42But either way, you look beautiful.
06:43If you decide that you want to be like this forever,
06:46our friendship will still be good.
06:47I don't know what to say.
06:49I just want to see myself.
06:50Okay, are you ready?
06:51Ready?
06:52One, two, three.
06:58What the heck is this?
07:00Wait, the makeup is pretty good though.
07:03Oh my gosh.
07:05Wait.
07:06Oh, like.
07:07Wait.
07:09I don't like how I'm not wearing any eyeliner.
07:11And it's stressing me out.
07:12I definitely look like I fit in though.
07:15But like, I look like a mom.
07:17I don't even look like a girl in high school that goes to my school or anything.
07:21I just look like a mom.
07:22It looks really good.
07:22I think green is actually a really pretty color right now.
07:25Like, I think it.
07:25Don't give me that.
07:26All put together.
07:27It matches her eye color.
07:28I do look like a girl.
07:29Look at her eye.
07:30She looks super church ready.
07:31I personally really like the way that she looks right now.
07:36I think she should do what makes her comfortable.
07:38Boy, if I had to choose between, you know, yin and yang, I would probably choose the, you know,
07:45this.
07:46But whatever makes her happy, you know.
07:48It does mean a lot to me that you decided, you know.
07:51And who knows, maybe you would have liked this more.
07:55Maybe I was secretly hoping you would like this more.
07:57I think at the end of the day, you know, when it comes to family,
08:00you should love everyone in your family equally.
08:04No matter how they want to dress or express themselves.
08:06Because at the end of the day, family is a lot more than just how somebody dresses, you know.
08:11I'm definitely not comfortable in this.
08:14I probably would end up looking at this in like 30 years.
08:18But not soon, so yeah.
08:25My bad, my bad.
