Bradford extend Ciarán Kelly’s contract at Valley Parade

00:00Bradford City have announced that Kieran Kelly has signed a new contract at the club

00:05that will keep him at Valley Parade for another season

00:08as the Bantams move into League One, wanting to progress as a club and go high up the table.

00:15Yeah, very happy to get it finally over the line.

00:19Obviously we're moving a step up into League One now and it's a challenge for the club

00:23and it's hopefully a challenge for myself and I can't wait to get started now.

00:27Now a clear head-to-head tack pre-season for them.

00:29Yeah, exactly, that's all out of the way now.

00:31I just want to focus on my football and like you said, we're the first day back in pre-season

00:34and we have a long few weeks ahead of us but I'm ready to knuckle down now.

00:38And that season, I guess the season on the last day of the season,

00:40the season we all had to get that promotion which gives you the desire to kick on here at this football club.

00:45Yeah, exactly. You see the numbers that came through the gate that day, the last game of the season.

00:49We finally got it over the line to get promoted into League One

00:52and look to play in front of those crowds is unbelievable and I'm thankful I can do it all again.

00:57Yeah, you've got to build the momentum from last season now and really kick it on again.

01:01Yeah, we don't want to just go up and be happy to be there.

01:03We want to be challenging again and that's what we'll look to do.

01:06So hopefully we can get a good pre-season behind us and kick off right from the start.

01:11And Leeds United's new signing from Udinese,

01:13Jacob Eall has outlined just how much he loves a big tackle when defending.

01:18He also spoke about how important it will be for him to create chemistry between himself

01:23and his teammates at Ellen Road ahead of the new season.

01:29Defender has to like a tackle, I think, so for sure.

01:32With these referees now and all the rules, it's a little bit harder these days,

01:36but still like it for sure.

01:39So you like to defend, you're a defender who likes to defend, would that be right?

01:43Yeah, I would say so.

01:44And in terms of the players around you in the squad,

01:49you've obviously not had a chance to get to know them yet,

01:51but do you have ideas about types of players you might be playing alongside?

01:55No, honestly, just focusing on the chemistry first, I think.

02:01This is the most important part, to feel part of the group,

02:04to feel that you come to the right place,

02:07that you feel that you can help the team, that you grow together

02:11and then everything comes together.
