Jeremie Frimpong is confident he can step into the “big shoes” left by Trent Alexander-Arnold in Liverpool’s defence. The 24-year-old was Liverpool’s first signing under Arne Slot following their Premier League title win, arriving from Bayer Leverkusen shortly after Alexander-Arnold’s high-profile move to Real Madrid. Despite this, Frimpong faces stiff competition for the right-back spot, notably from Alexander-Arnold’s former understudy Conor Bradley.
