00:00The 9th of July 1995 is a date that I will never forget. Nor will I forget the
00:05names of the two brave officers that gave their lives on that night, Senior
00:09Constable Spears and Senior Constable Addison. My name is Pat Gleeson and I was
00:15part of an investigative team that investigated the murders of Senior
00:19Constable Spears and Senior Constable Addison. With the 30th anniversary of
00:24their deaths coming up on the 9th of July this year, to honour these two men and
00:28the sacrifices that them and their families have made and to raise money
00:32for Police Legacy. I'm planning a 10-day walk from Port Stephens to Crescent Head.
00:39New South Wales Police Legacy is the New South Wales Police Charity. It provides
00:45support and care for families of police who have suffered a loss. Please donate.
00:50If you want to be part of this walk, the last day is on the 8th of July from
00:55North Shore to Crescent Head. This is a trek of about 30 kilometres. Hope to see you there.
