00:00I literally was there just having the time of my life with these people and now I'm here in America
00:05you know comfortable and these people are actually having to deal with this and people are losing
00:11their lives. I travel extensively through these parts of the world right I've been through I've
00:22been to Afghanistan I've been to Iraq Pakistan Libya and so on and so forth and when I thought
00:28of going to Iran I was like you know what this is a place that I I've heard so much about in the media
00:34right and I really just wanted to go and see this place for myself I didn't know what to expect I
00:40didn't know how I would be received as an American I was nervous and kind of like dude are you are
00:45you sure you want to you want to get off the plane and and step into this unknown territory but as we
00:51drove I started to notice just how massive Iran was right you could literally see it all from the
00:57distance just these thousands and thousands of homes and I think in my narrow mind I had this
01:03this vision of what Tehran actually looked at looked like and it was very small and limited but
01:08it's extremely large but my I would say when I made it to Tehran at night in the market my first
01:14impressions were just the people were just super curious when they saw me and especially when they
01:19heard me speaking English they would literally like turn around and like what are you like what are
01:24you doing like where are you from right you know and I would tell them America they'd be like oh my
01:29god love America you know love America love America welcome to your second home the people went out of
01:34their way to welcome me you know to make me feel at home you know they they told me stories about their
01:40families they you know they they um they told me about their history and they led me invited me into
01:46their homes you know cooked for me made me food and it's just yeah it's just it's just so so amazing
01:52this this just reaffirms that at the end of the day we all are humans we all have so much in common
01:57than what separates us you know and that's what I love seeing when I travel to these places is just
02:03the humanity and honestly before all this kind of escalated my plans was to actually return I don't
02:10know how that looks in the future no one knows when they will return return to allowing you know
02:16foreigners in if that ever even happens again because the bombing was happening in Yazd and all these
02:21these these places that I had literally just left from I have a really unique role and opportunity
02:26when I visit these places I'm essentially the middleman it's not about me it's about it's about
02:31these people it's about their stories it's about humanizing these people in places that is the role
02:37that I play when it comes to creating content is just bridging these gaps from people across the world
