00:00DRS what a showdown of young arms that we have today on the bump of course Paul Skiens who has
00:05been great here early on in year number two of his MLB career and so far in the first few starts
00:10of his career in Major League Baseball Jacob Mizorowski for Milwaukee the flame thriller
00:1514 pitches touching at least triple digits in his MLB debut five innings of no hit baseball
00:22he has continued with some filthy stuff total seven today in Milwaukee and it's a pick-em
00:28when Paul Skiens is on the other side minus 108 now the updated number for both the buckos and
00:34the brew crew so who wins this pitching matchup who wins today's afternoon game in Milwaukee
00:40I think you want to lean on Paul Skiens because of how dominant that he can be but the question
00:45is not Paul's like Paul Skiens doesn't hit like hey you know what let me get uh dominate on the
00:48mound and also I'll be Shohei Itani at the plate because that lineup always leaves a lot to be
00:53desired so you take a look at Jacob Mizorowski who again you look at his numbers 11 innings
00:57pitch here 1.64 ERA a 3.65x fifth number he's a flamethrower until he works his way around the
01:03league with multiple starts and you get a book on him it's kind of hard to understand what he's
01:08actually throwing how hard he throws at the plate so let's just say you see that six and a half now
01:12in the post the total sevens in that range how do we get to eight runs because the one thing you
01:17can expect is well hey you're hoping for like Paul Skiens have an off day and what's an off day for
01:21Skiens six innings pitched and two earned runs at that point how do we get to eight overall runs
01:26because Skiens over his last 33 and a third innings covering one month a 0.08 or excuse me a 0.81 ERA
01:33and a 3.01x fifth number like he strikes everybody out you don't get base hits and also unless you're
01:39just throwing home runs between these two pitchers where are the runs coming from like you don't string
01:44together three straight singles against Paul Skiens in one inning right so you look even maybe the first
01:48five innings which maybe it's three and a half as a total how do they get four runs at that point
01:52because if you're over is Mizroski goes five innings and Skiens go six uh-oh okay we'll leave
01:57it up to the bullpen and maybe get extra innings or they just blow up at that point but I gotta tell
02:01you like I would be surprised if we're looking at a school ball start that we saw yes like hey
02:05Skiens gave up multiple home runs in the first two innings and four runs are already on the board
02:09I think the safest approach in this would be for me the under in the first five innings even though
02:14it's going to be low because if you miss that handicap and five are on the board they're getting seven
02:19runs or six and a half for the rest of the game that'd be my angle
